    Nice demonstration, but I would like to mention one thing, that Stock Valuation or inventory valuation is taking into account all the mix of goods i.e., Raw Materials, Finished goods. I suggest that we should have separate Inventory Valuation for each of our product categories, like for Raw Materials when we buy and move to our warehouse, and the finished goods once manufactured and shifted to its own warehouse. This way the whole scenario will be crystal clear.

    Thanks Kevin for another great video!
    It would be amazing if you could do a similar video for subcontracting in Odoo v16.
    A break down on the subcontracting including configuring stock input/output accounts for work in progress would be awesome.
    Thanks!

    Thanks Kevin, this is the kind of info I was looking for as someone just trying to get started. I was having some trouble seeing how to capture some of the extra cost of manufacturing my products. It looks like Work Center is the solution.
    I'd like to request a way to tie equipment to a work center like you do employees. I know how much time a machine(s) use to manufacture my products. Manufacturing Product A uses 1 hour 20 minutes of Machine A and 33 minutes of Machine B. I'd like the machine's time tracked by a work center and tied to the maintenance schedules. Have it generate a maintenance request automatically.
    I've learned so much from your videos. Thanks again.

      You can do most of that OOTB. The cost should come from the work center. I will make a video at some point on how to maintain manufacturing equipment.

    Very informative video!! very useful indeed. Have a question, For manufacturing process that extends for longer periods the MO would start not finish. In this case, can the BOM products move to the WIP and stay there until the MO is completed? Would the WIP reflect value in the BS for MO that has started yet not closed?

    Great video and explanation Kevin! Just one question, I frequently see that the real time used to produce is not totally real since some operator missed to start or end the work order correctly, this might lead to an over or undercosted manufactured product. This creates 2 problems: 1 manufactured product AVCO cost gets distortioned and 2 overhead and salaries might not match the leftover amount in the WIP account. Can you please explain how to correct this situation? Readjust product cost manually and then the WIP should compensate against overhead, salaries and cost? Thanks!

    How do you clear the remaining balance for the employee cost? Is this a required manual process or could it be automated as well?

    • @KZAKI
      @KZAKI  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use "Automatic Transfers" to move some percentage of value to a different account each month. However, it is probably done manually or through custom code that triggers based on specific criteria.

    Topic request. we use Quickbooks Enterprise and recently Fishbowl inventory app that works with fishbowl for manufacturing. I'd think quickbooks would be a huge potential base to upgrade to Odoo. Are there any comparisons or conversion videos from quickbooks to odoo?

    • @KZAKI

      I would suggest using Odoo for all of your needs :)
