what are you getting for that one? word is the Gotoh Gt1996 is a floyd rose drop in for that odd sized mfg. under floyd rose pats. bridge, however its 1mm wider center to center on the mount studs so it pulls the low E string .5mm in, pushes the low E /5mm out.. not a big deal at all if you have 2mm on each side.. then some of those funky floyd pats use a wide head on the height adjuster so you either find the narrow head adjuster or grind her down as she might run into your saddle depending on where she sits intonated, of course the Gotohs are some of the best floyds made so its a real nice drop in for all those that have that funky, 70.20mm stud spaced bridge
also they are not plywood bodies, they are laminated using hardwood laminations, think birch or harder so to buy that today would be extremely costly, I dont give any of those older laminated bodies in the minus categories as I have then that are richer and have more sustain than my best ash or alder bodies, charvette, its something else, has that same bridge, going to get a Gotoh or I will try one only cuz someone broke the tone block on it and it where the bar plugs in, its fixable, grind it away and use a standard floyd rose whammy bar insert on it, also that's an upgrade if you do have this bridge... take a dremel and slice off that tone block right alongside that last string hole, then you have a flat plate and can bolt on a floyd rose whammy bar of whatever style you desire, pop in or screw on, the hole is the perfect size.. in fact I suggest that if you have one of these bridges and like it and use the whammy a lot, eventually that pot metal is going to fatigue and do exactly the same mine did, I got lucky it broke off right next to the E string bushing it very well could have taken that with it and its useless, as it sits I trim it up and I can use the floyd rose style that screws on tight to the plate.. if you like it inspect make sure you are not about to lose it these blocks are harder to get these days so many of them crumbled away.. a guy can prolly mod a steel strat block or FR block to work, just drill string holes and bolt it up, use the bushings from old block..

My 80's era Platinum Series BC Rich Bich came standard with that Kahler you tried @7:58. It was a rather bad bridge for tuning stability but perhaps better than the later bridges (the one you took off at the start of the video).

Remember when metal was in full swing and alot of people wanted to trade their Fender or Gibson 70's for cool metal guitar? Also the the tube amps for solid state...

Cool video, I have two platinums & I hate those bridges, swapped both mine out for flatmount Kahlers. Just filled the post holes & route a small square for the spring section. Pretty sure that series was made in Korea.

I really don't think those BC Rich tremolos are any worse than the other options in their price range. In the guitar store I always thought these guitars were weird, it almost all kids and teens that bought them to play metal but the way they were setup it felt more like you should be playing blues on them.

I have one of these, but it's a Stratocaster, same paint scheme, but I lost the locking blocks for the nut... The body is composite press board construction. Does anyone have information about the bridge.

Good job dane,I had a bc rich warlock in the 90s,it had that weird tremolo system, the one I had the headstock was reversed so I thought it was rare,it wasn't but they were hard to find
