    Love the guitars but man I find these videos really relaxing. Not sure if that's the point but there you go

    This is an Ibanez EX350. The Korean-made EX line was a more budget-friendly version of the Japanese Ibanez RG, with notable differences being a rounder body-edge radius (as opposed to the RG’s more squared-off edges), 22-fret necks, and more modest hardware. That Kahler bridge is an aftermarket swap.

      Thank you for the info on this Ibenez! When I bought it, Dane was really busy and didn't have the time to research it. Thank you again!🎸😀👍

      Good call on the EX! I was scanning the comments to see if anyone ID'd this guitar! I've been buying these and restoring them, but I only look for the ones with the Takeuchi LO-TRS. If I can't restore the Takeuchi I drop in a brand new Gotoh GE1996T which is a direct drop in replacement!

    I kept thinking about this guitar since I saw the video of it. So, I went down and bought it today. It is 'killer'!! A little rough like Dane says but he cleaned it up really nice and it looks and sounds awesome!! Dane sold it to me for a superb price and sorry to whom were all thinking about looking at it and buying it. It's mine, ALL MINE!! Wuhahahaha!!! 🎸😃👍

    Very true comment about polishing and cleaning up before trading in. I brought in an Ibanez when I was young to trade in at a GC and they didn’t want it because it was modded. I had taken out the mini toggle for the active eq and replaced it with a tone knob so it was 1 vol & 1 tone. When I cleaned it up real nice the next time I tried (lol I was young so of course I tried) they took it in no problem and even said it was in really nice condition and offered me more than what I was hoping! 😂

    I have an EX360. (made in Korea). Difference is no pickguard. I bought it used and abused. Put it through more abuse, until the previously repaired neck crack let go again. Parked it for years, then bought a Japanese replacement neck with identical specs except has fret dots. Years later I'm now also a guitar tech. I'm now thinking save the Japanese neck and build a Jem DBK or rootbeer clone out of it. And try to repair the original neck. But it's pretty gooched. I'll have to look at the frets I think they were really worn. But I do need a 'parts guitar' to practice fret replacement.

    For a professional shop that seems pretty amateurish. You could remove the tuners before polishing the head stock, use a dedicated product for the fretboard and polish the frets properly. And the black sharpie on the pickup 😅

    I have a 85 Aria Pro ll Night Warrior and I have the same tremolo, it says Act 3 on it and it looks like a Kahler but I have been told by someone who knows Japanese guitars and said it was a Floyd Rose, What I was told that Floyd Rose would license there tremolo to guitars companys, what ever that really means.

    • @procrastinator6902
      @procrastinator6902 ปีที่แล้ว

      It means they allow other companies to pay them to use the design, but the result is an inferior product made of cheap junk metals.

    • @brandonjackson5865

      It looks like an early RG , I’ve never seen an rg with shark fins , teeth yeah, I don’t believe that kahler Floyd is original, because Ibanez and gotoh would’ve had an edge trem by the time of RG shape, borrowed from the Jem . It’s a pretty cool old guitar and if it’s a Japanese Ibby from the late 80s plays awesome I bet .
      Edit 22 fret RG at that, the neck is really throwing me off , I guess it could’ve came off about any bolt on Ibanez of the time, maybe it’s original but who cares if it plays and sounds good
