I live in Waco.
Owners turned it into a bed and breakfast.
Not sure where they live now.
Was there this spring.
Could barely see house from bushes and trees way overgrown.
Was disappointed since this was a fav of mine.
I saw a few of thier remodels are now BnBs....the tall super skinny one with loft and the "rockstars" house

People are offering insane amounts to buy or rent Fixer Uppers.
I live about a mile from one of the few that still have the original family living there.
I heard that the new Fixer Upper show requires a higher budget then before and they agree to live there.
Not sure if that part is true but I’m sure the higher budget part is.

They are actually renting it for short term visitors. I came across a video from a youtuber/blogger lately who rented it for a weekend and made a video about it.
They where selling it for 900,000$ but it was on the market forever so now they rent it

So amazing, I'm continually blown away by Chip & Joanna's talent in this area. Waco isn't too far from me...kinda wish they'd have a big open house for all the homes they've renovated there....like, half the city by this point!? 😉 My one thumbsdown is that clawfoot tub. As quaint as they are in looks, they are a &#$%! in reality: little space to move, extremely awkward when you're inside it, the shower curtain gets sucked in against you from the shower pressure...it's very unpleasant. Lived with one awhile back and dreaded it every time I showered. 😫💦

Ship lapped walls are becoming as tiresome as orange Formica and Avacado appliances.
Palgrave I can see your point about design elements becoming old news, but I disagree about shiplap. I think the worst things that ever happened to housing is the use of drywall, which is hideous and wall to wall carpet, which is filthy. I wish all my walls were covered in wood as the background, weather they will be painted or wall papered or whatever. Drywall became popular because it’s cheap and fast. I think it’s usage is tiresome and I wish it would end... same with wall to wall carpet... yuck!

Beautiful renovation. I watch a lot of renovation videos from the USA and wonder if all the Americans can say is "O my gosh (if they remember) or "O my God (if they don't), which to me personally is blasphemy. Surely they must have a wider vocabulary?
I mean, yeah we do, but if Oh my God is blasphemy i don't know that you'll like any of the other sayings.
