Yeh, Joanna and Chip remind me of my parents. My parents have taught me that you don't own a house, it owns you. The issues that have come up over the years has just been about everything like what they are always referring to. It's almost made me want to live in an apartment because your trying to have a weekend, but it's always well we gotta work on the house. So they've owned twice, and me once. Even with a newer house, yes you'll have issues.

They could have put a french drain that sits lower in front of the new enclosure, way less expensive and gets the job done!
I hung my brand new acoustic guitar on the wall in my walkout basement soon after buying it, and when the winter hit and we turned on the furnace, moisture left the guitar so much that it screwed up the fretting and caused horrible buzzing from fret 12 to fret 16. Took months to condition my guitar in its case for it to be fixed. I do not recommend anyone putting guitars on the wall, unless that room is well controlled for moisture.

FYI, you should not hang guitars unless the room is humidity-controlled.
I've been seeing this new craze of walk in closets off the bathroom . I would never. The damp bathroom smells would eventually fill the closet.
carolyn bennett I totally agree. And if you own any leather or suede, it would be ruined so fast.
They have doors. Besides, you can install exhaust or have dehumidifier inside the walk-in closet so its dry all day. It's no big issue.
My name is Luka Who wants to run an exhaust fan and a dehumidifier in their bathroom all the time? The logical thing is just to put the closet somewhere else.
Homeowner in humid Florida and our walk ins were carefully constructed off the main master bathroom, and it works. Even though it sounds crazy the convenience of shower and dress is wonderful. The fan and spacious bathroom size helps alleviate any concerns. ☺️
I live about a mile from this house. It’s even better looking in person.
Most walk-in closets around here have ac vents so having the entrance off the bathroom isn’t a big deal.
Personally I don’t like it for aesthetic reasons.

They do extraordinary work. I hope one day they can design my home! I have always wondered what they do with the remaining rooms that didn’t get remodeled, do they leave it as they found, or atleast fix up the walls and floors?

i’ve been watching their all past episodes, despite they have some nice design ideas but their approach was always stretches the FULL budget of their client, and on top of that always ask client for extra budget, unlike others design flip house shows, always tried to lower the client budget like - Home Town
I agree, they always wanna use the entire budget
No building contractor in any part of the world can come up with an exact figure be it for new-builds or renos.
There are just many unknowns so I think even if Gaines' would love to stick to their client's budgets chances are that their hands are tied- specially if it is a structural issue.

100,000 thousand for this home??? WHAT A BIG DEAL.....TOTAL WORTH every peny. happy for them. however i whould of not wasted 100k for remodeling. maybe roof n put till n the house but the cosmetics wasnt much necessary

I read an article from someone that was on the show. All the furniture has price tags. You can choose what to buy to keep. Apparently its crazy expensive.

I love Chip and Joanna and they are so talented but honestly every single design they do looks the exact same. Its all farmhouse. Like it would be cool to see them do a modern design or rustic or ANYTHING but farm house. Also if you watch the show, its fun to play a drinking game. Drink every time they say "y'all" "Y'all like y'alls design on y'alls house?" "after y'all"
