I have a 2000 Toyota Crown Majesta that I had imported to Australia about six years ago. Beautiful car - very smooth, quiet and powerful with the 4 litre V8 and 5-speed auto. My only warning would be about those models with air suspension (like mine). They are difficult/expensive to repair so I am about to do a coil-over spring changeover. Hopefully it won't spoil the refined ride.
I saw one of these on the streets of Leesburg, FL this morning and I didn’t even know they existed! It is so sharp looking in a sea of SUVs and pick-ups.
The s151 Majesta is such an oddball car. It's based on the first gen Aristo, has bits/pieces from the Celsior and JZS15 Crowns. I currently have a 97 Majesta v8 Four-i in the shop next to my personal JZS155 Crown Royal Saloon G.
Been thinking about you lately. I may hit you all up in the Spring to import an Odyssey. I found out I'm gonna be a dad again and having the extra room would be great! I know they aren't highly sought after so prices are relatively low. Great for a kid car!
Thanks for the review, was looking around for a 1997 Toyota Century, but all the Century's that i have found were "high" mileage (probably an ex fleet vehicle) But now i've found a 1997 Toyota Majesta that has 19K miles, that's like brand new. I'm still pondering on which one i would get.
It's been announced that the new generation of Crown is coming to the US, but ugh, I hate it, that new generation is a disgusting SUV/sedan hybrid, and it's nothing like these traditional old luxury Crowns

Funny thing is they are bringing the Crown name here in the US for 2023 this Winter. Funky looking car.
For the first time in like 60-70 yrs
They are fooling the US. Thats no crown
Correction, Toyota of the USA was finally allowed to sale the crown in the USA 🇺🇸
Thumbs up for a fellow Crown owner!
Car looks sweet and loaded with all the options.
Do you own a Crown too?
Yes, a 171 Crown for 3+ years now. It was a PCA car as well. Look back for the video 😉

The Celsior actually sat below the Crown Majesta in the JDM range until the Lexus range was launched in Japan in 2006

Starting with this generation the Crown Majesta was the co flagship of the JDM Toyota range alongside the Century limousine
That black Stagea in the lot looks superb, I hope we get to see that!
It's a 260RS but is going to a dealer so no video on the TH-cams.
@@PacificCoastAuto My dream JDM car. Oh well thanks for letting me know.

Love that 1UZ-FE
I dream of putting one in a Miata and then adding ITB. I'm not ashamed of my TH-cam browser history.
Im extremely interested in one of these in 4wd in the northeast US

Majesta also came in I6 3.0 L 2JZ-GE engine.
It was actually the 2JZ-FSE. Yes, that engine exists.
Are spare parts the same as for LS400?
These are hard to find in East Africa, Kenya 🇰🇪 these days.Beautiful car👌🏾
Is this crown in the USA yet?
Yes, since this past December
how much money did you pay at the port to pick it up?
I wish these came with sunroof option.
How can I buy the crown majesta?

Did anyone else notice that both the yellow and white bBs are in this video?
Can't be...they're the same vehicle. It's just good editing 😜
@@ef7andapp170 plot twist: neither of the bBs are real; they're just CGI
Quiet, the white one is a secret for now. (raised eyebrows)

I think it is 260hp.
Yep.
Cool 😎 Far Better, More Prestigious and Nicer than Overated German Junks
Take it from a German who knows, Drive German cars when the opportunity presents itself. Own Japanese cars.
@@ajdahun So what is Your Actual Point.
Overrated German junks? Sounds like someones mad a merc gets 1 miles😂
Toyota wanted extra cooling for when the car is driven in the middleeast.
