ComStar interruptions in the HGP transmission for the bigger factions wanting to get on with their communiques. The snobs deem information regarding the Fronc Reaches of lesser importance.
I like the Fronc Reaches mostly because the region is basically the setting for the first chunk of HBS Battletech, until you start focusing on the Directorate-held planets. Hell, Detroit was one of the four systems you were limited to before the Canopans start paying the bills.
We were just talking about that on Twitter concerning planets that are in the Fronc Reaches but also apparently a part of the HBS Battletech faction that got its own sourcebook.
Im fairly certain that trap on Independence was also the surprise reveal of the TinStar battle armour. A truely nasty little surprise as it would've likely been the original production line with the MagShot/Support PPC and Clan Armor.
Another great video on yet one of my favorite factions. The Dark Age and ilClan era Fronc Reaches MUL is an excellent combination of Canopian, Taurian, Capellan, and other Periphery/House Star Leauge to Dark Age eta designs that makes it easy for anyone wanting to build a Colonial Marshal or Fronc Curiasser force. It's also fun to note that the Fronc Reaches produce an excellent Marshal variant called the 6FR. It carries 3 Medium X-Pulse Lasers, a Snub Nose PPC, and a Flamer with 15 DHS, max armor via Ferro-Fibrous, a Light Engine, and 6 Improved Jump Jets. They also field all of the other variants of the Marshal, and apparently managed to retain or buy the Pillager assault mech so beloved by the Capellan Confederation.
I love it when people add new things that didn't make the video. It makes me want to dive back in and update the videos with all these good gems of knowledge.
I wonder how the Aurigans are doing-two planets that were previously theirs seem to be in the Fronc Reaches, and the Capellans control some of their Coreward worlds, but the area is otherwise independent and settled as far as the maps show.😊

@@MechanicalFrog Glad you got it sorted!
Not sure if it's just me, but there's a audio hiccup at about the 18 minute mark or just before.
It's not just you. There is apparently some issue with the upload. I'm sorry.
Random portions of the video after the 17:19 minute mark are muted :(
Yep, there were some audio compiling issues following an update in Audacity. Thankfully, I sorted them out and it hasn't been an issue for the latest videos.
@@MechanicalFrog The change in audio quality was noticable! Do you think you'll do a video on each of the states first domestic mechs? I'm painting up some mechs from the Proliferation cycle
No plans to at the moment but, possible in the future.@@AbokaseeRed
It reminds me of that Spanish guy from the newest Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
NO No not people P I R A T E S
The Periphery can be a dangerous place. Especially for the pirates who make it dangerous for everyone else.
I always liked the franc regions, it would probably be more space arizona rangers meet the GDP and capitol growth of cannopus with a strong sense of independence and a deep hatred of criminals like the pirates they constantly deal with.
I'm glad they're around. It's a neat little region of the Periphery.
@@MechanicalFrog nice place to set a one shot too if your playing as pirates with friends, kind like playing cowboys and Indians lol
@@thegunslinger8806 Absolutely.
So, The Fronc Reaches are basically Texas. I knew I liked this region. 🙂
Yee haw...
The domestic Fronc Dollar trading at feckin 80 some percent of a c-bill is Really strong for a shmol periphery nation. Give's at least some idea of how much the leadership has invested in domestic production and economy
The Fronc really do seem to have their crap together more than most.
Around 18 minutes inn there is some audio problems, is that just me?
No it was an encoding issue when I uploaded it to youtube. Sorry.
I mean the Magistry is weird, but they've been doing it for so long that it's less bizarre. If that makes any sense?
Meaning we're all desensitized to their silliness by now?
🎉thank you❤both
Thank you.
@@MechanicalFrog your welcome please keep going
17:37 was there supposed to be an audio cut there lol
It's a youtube issue. It's fine on my HD copy of the video. Very disappointing considering how much work goes into one of these.
@@MechanicalFrog could be packet loss in upload might be worth a try reuploading it
Have I mentioned that I really like the new intro? 😉
Glad you like it!
What happened with the audio?
What do you mean?
@@MechanicalFroghere are several instances of no audio around 18 mins mark.
From the point u mentioned the dev of new weapons and vehicles
Huh. Yeah I don't know what happened there. It looks fine in the video editor. Thanks for pointing out the issue.
Marshall Dillion? Where have I heard that name before? I wonder...
Didn't Marshall Dillion sing back up for the Lone Rangers?
@@MechanicalFrog Yeah. There biggest hit was Gunsmoke, or something like that.
Tha magestry of Canopus isn't doing anything strange? That kind of comment gets a spot in a circus.
I suppose it's a matter of perspective.
"Climb out and release heck" hahaha I'm sorry I can't take this seriously. There's no way that's the original word. It's surreal to hear a military story about violence, life and death, edited to remove as mild a word as "hell". I became retroactively surprised you said Gauss Rifle instead of pewpew mcshootys.
If you cannot take BattleTech seriously, what can we take seriously? This is very serious business. No nonsense allowed.
