I really enjoy your content and the thought that you are saving things from just going into the dumpster. Is it just me or does anybody else get sorta of sad thinking that, one day when we die, all the keepsakes we lovingly saved and packed away each holiday for our children or grandchildren just ends up in an estate sale for strangers to dig through?
I think about that too. What bothers me the most is the family photos. It’s sad thinking that one day they may end up at a flea market or donation place because no one wants them. 😢
It definitely makes me think about our possessions and what is left behind and the meaning of it all. We enjoy things while we're alive (and also overconsume bc that's the culture).When we die maybe our loved ones will take interest in our things, often they don't. Maybe they will find their way into the hands of a collector and be loved and cherished or maybe they end up in a landfill. In the end it's all just stuff and we can't take it with us but yes, there is something sad about seeing the remnants of a life.

The 3 in blue ( astronauts) are from the original Planet of the Apes show. I believe Cornelius was played by Roddy McDowell. I don't know the worth but I think you made à good decision!

The gasp I gasped when you opened that box of Megos! Those figures are in great condition for their age. I've sold old figures for parts. There is definitely a market. Excellent grab.

I had the Mego Wizard of Oz set when I was a kid. Not surprising those dolls are in good condition because Mego made good quality dolls. Made to last.
When I was a kid I had a crush on GI Joe. The scar on his face was so sexy. I always wanted one but my mom said I had to stick to Ken. Ken just wasn’t as tough as Joe. 😂

The Mego 8 inch action figures in your haul include The Planet of The Apes: General Ursus, Dr. Zaius, Soldier Ape, Cornelius, Astronaut Burke and Astronaut Verdon.
The Mego Planet Of The Apes figures are actually based on the Planet Of The Apes TV show.
The catapult and wagon are rare accessories, also from the Mego Planet Of The Apes toyline.
I also believe the 8 inch figure in a western costume is also a Mego figure, called Action Jackson.
The whole vintage GI Joe line is great for resale, and quick sales at that. You'll be surprised at how much they go for. The vintage action figures are always good...including a lot of Barbie. Planet of the Apes is very popular, especially with Boomers!
The toys alone are well worth the $200. You guys hit a small jackpot if you can find the right person. Congrats 👏
You could sell them as a set. I doubt there are loads of those around really. MEGO is a very cool company to find obscure figures from. Impressive you have so many in decent condition. 😮 Spock 🖖 Nice!

Great show as always !!!! My brothers kept their GI Joe guys with the items still in the box's LOL Plus their matchbook cars and case . Finding old items like that takes me back to when I was a kid and playing with my brothers. Thank you for the memories
Excellent pickup on the Action doll figures for sure .They are all vintage from the 60s&?early 70s . The Star Trek & Planet of the Apes are action figures based on the series of Planet of the Apes Motion Pictures from 1968-1974. Which Starred the late RoddyMcDowell & Kim Hunter as Cornelius & Zira . The Films were very successful and spawned the creation of these action Figures along with a number of play sets for Kids primarily Boys . The same with The Original Star Trek Tv Series of the late 1960s . The Dolls that are in Good Condition will make you money . Or as Janine said The Little Outfits .

The Star Trek character was the same one they use in a episode of Big Bang Theory. Also I have a yo-yo that matches your Santa golf balls. That is so cool that you found all this stuff. If you are ever in Pa. There is a great antique store called Yesteryear Antiques and they have very reasonable prices.

Great find. The company is pronounced me go. Honestly the catapult I would part out . The boulders probably would fetch at be least $5-$10 each. Good finds keep up the good work.

Love your finds, especially Bear Mountain! It had/has an ice skating rink,a merry go round, a ski run or jump (long gone) and a zoo & a museum & of course the restaurant & Inn. Our kids spent many fun filled days there when they were growing up..

These are figures from the 1970s Star Trek and Planet of the Apes . My brother had them when we were kids .

We sold a bag full of Mego Cher clothes for crazy money ( over $2000)- with no dolls. Collectors will buy it all, missing pieces and all. Dont underestimate them. Good score
