    You're so good, Jimmy! I've been using PS for a decade now but when I see your application of that knowledge, I am absolutely blown away. In this video, especially towards the ending 2-3 minutes, the image totally turned around for me with your manual vignette which led the eye to the right areas. From processing all of my images in PS, to using only LR for the past few years, I now see the merit of going back to PS for some choicest images to have more minute control over the image.

    Thx Jimmy.. Ive had Raya Pro for a couple of years now. This tutorial helps because your Raya plug-in can be intimidating and many of your other tutorials are very fast where I have to pause the video to type it out in a Word document. It would help if your tutorials contained an outline text to the side and were spoken slower on the process of "Instamask" and all your other RayaPro features.

    Great video Jimmy again. :) But it always is. :)I bought two courses from you and I have to write that they are great, the first is Exposure Blend Like a Expert for Raya Pro and it helped me a lot, now everything is so much easier and the second is The Art Of Photography and it completely got me, great, absolutely perfect...I recommend them to everyone, of course I also downloaded your new book, I'm at the beginning, but I enjoy it :) :)

    Great video. I purchased Raya Pro a few years ago and I’m ashamed to say I don’t really use it as I struggle with it. This video goes a long way towards getting my head around it.

    tube. Just a thought for this photo would you have considered enhancing fog a little bit.

    Hi Jimmy,
    I'm a regular follower of your videos.And I follow your style to edit my pictures.Thanks for these videos especially for the beginners like me in photography. I would like to know How can we give grey tones to the shadows instead of black tone?

    • @JimmyMcIntyre
      @JimmyMcIntyre  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Add a Levels Adjustment layer. Then isolate the shadows buy creating a mask in InstaMask and applying the mask to the levels layer. Go to the Levels properties and move the Shadows Output slider to the right, that will bring lighter tones to your black shadows.

  • @peterdoering4314

    Jimmy - I love your classes and I watch all your videos - and truthfully I am getting pretty good at using Raya Pro and Lumi32. And I 100% love it - it changed my photography. My biggest question or what I would love to see would be your true overall workflow. You do a great job showing how to do it with Raya Pro and without. Some videos you share you do burning nondestructive and another video you share you do it destructive. Some you recommend Lumi32 and most you do with Instamask - But I would love to see a true overall picture of just you. Such as do you do all your pieces and images using RayaPro - or do you do the majority just using Lightroom or Adobe Raw? If you just got back from a photo trip and was sitting at home - no one watching what products you were using - no selling anything - just your honest to truly Jimmy Workflow - start to finish - out of the camera to a print or a post on the web. That is the part I struggle with the most with this process. Your new videos where you edit peoples work is outstanding and touches on it but instead of sharing how to do it in different ways - just your real process. Thank you

    Great tutorial but why did you need the extra step with the curves layer to blend in the bright exposure? Could you not just repeat the same process as for blending in the dark exposure? Thank you!

    Great tutorial as usual jimmy. However following this tutorial i came across a problem with smart object. I set up the smart object as per your tutorial but when i double click on the smart object it opens another file rather than go into Camera Raw. I'm on the latest photoshop as i dont remember encountering this problem with previous versions of photoshop. I've been through my preferences to see if there was a problem there but i cant find anything there which would stop smart object opening in camera raw when i double click.
    I suppose the other option is to go to filter /camera raw to open the raw convertor.
    I wonder if you or anybody else here can help. It's bugging me.

    • @JimmyMcIntyre
      @JimmyMcIntyre  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there,
      The filter/camera raw is not the same ACR as the one used to open RAW files. It is filter. It does not have access to the RAW data. I'm not sure why that is happening. If you're opening your images as Objects in ACR, then it should be fine. Perhaps you need to speak to someone at Adobe.

    There is problem with this method, the reflection of the sky after postprocessing look brighter than the sky. The view is drawn to the bottom left corner.

    Why not using one layer but several curves applying different luminosity masks? I do it and apply constrast according but with no problem with matching since I am seeing the result real time

    • @JimmyMcIntyre
      @JimmyMcIntyre  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because with ACR you are accessing the RAW data, which is a lot richer than what you can achieve with curves layers inside PS. Thanks

  • @jcbeasley1

    Won't the local adjustment brush in ACR do the same ?

    • @JimmyMcIntyre
      @JimmyMcIntyre  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Local adjustment brushes aren't constricted by a luminosity selection so won't be anywhere near as clean.
