The English version contains both The Journey and The Answer, whereas the Japanese Append version contains only The Answer. The Journey is essentially a slightly-enhanced remake of the original Persona 3, while The Answer is an all-new epilogue that continues the story.

April fools does in Japan, you can look it up. It isn't as wide spread as it is in the west, but it is still something that the Japanese know exists. Some Japanese mobile games (ie. Bang Dream, FGO) have april fool pranks that they do in game.

calDragon345 Okay so Yukari and Kawakami from Persona 5 both have the same voice actor, and if you notice she didn't change her voice that much when doing Kawakami, in fact she voices Kawakami with the same slightly whiny tone that Yukari has and ever since my friend pointed that out to me first time playing the game, Yukari is all I hear now and I can't unhear that anymore.
Damn...The Journey and The Answer goes BALLS DEEP into the question of "What's the point of life?" In just a few videos I've learned a fair bit of life lessons....jesus. literally Jesus. I need a drink.

Not as flashy as persona 4 and 5, Not as story heavy as persona 2 (Nothing I can think of for persona 1 or Persona "IF" and not counting persona Q) But Persona 3 definitely has the best overall theme of it's series thus far.

And in p5r: same local Japanese high school teens destroyed a wish granting god with the universe arcana unlocked thru the bonds of friendship all on their own.
They may not be in order, but when you think about it, the 5 stages of grief are all present in the answer.
Denial - When the SEES members are mourning over the MCs death
Anger - When they argue over what to do with the keys
Bargaining - When the party starts fighting each other for the keys
Depression - When Yukari cries over her failure to fulfill the promise she made
Acceptance - When Aigis looks forward into the future, finally getting over the fact that the protagonist is no longer alive
To add to acceptance:
Yukari accepted that she doesn't need to care that much about Aigis getting the Wild Card and that MC is dead.
@@thegamerfe8751Here's something that I liked. This Jealousy. It happened 3 times. At first: It was Junpei. He was Jealous of the Protagonist because he was the Leader and he wished that he was as strong as him. And then there's Yukari... damn. She kinda wanted Mizuru's dad to die instead of Yukari's. Though both dads die at the end of the day. And now with Yukari again jealous but with Aigis.
That's a cool plot that I really like. I may have missed something so you can add it if you want.

So the cast of Persona 3 are still fully active with methods of summoning their own persona in the real world, but the cast of Personas 4 and 5 relied on Izanami's TV World and Yaldabaoth's Metaverse respectively for their powers.

@@KingLuxion im not done yet with the game, but judging on what I know both naoya and tatsuya was "given" personas, unlike the P3-5 characters which has "awakened to their power".
on persona 1 and 2, there wasn't anything like going inside something or whatever (just like tartarus, tv, or metaverse)
they use their persona whenever they wan to but other people probably cant see their persona just like in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
There wasn't any purpose in them having persona because they obtained Personas from a ridiculous rumor called "Persona-sama" its basically an urban legend, so they tried it out obtaining a persona from a person named Philemon (the iconic butterfly who always shows itself in the series).
@@ktoru2655 Due to the completely different rules 1 & 2 seem to follow, I highly doubt they're going to show up in a crossover event with 3, 4, & 5.
@@KingLuxion mostly because of the theme of both games, on persona 2 the theme is rather disturbing. Even the final boss is Hitler.
There are no social links to be strengthen in the 3 games, think of it as just pokemon but fusing entities.
And they have different signature arcanas compare to the other 3 mc's,
Naoya Toudo having an Emperor Arcana,
Tatsuya Sou having the Sun Arcana.
Their arcanas violates the rule of the wild card which is "The Fool Arcana"
even without the fool arcana, they can obtain other personas without even forging bonds and obtaining other arcanas.
They do that by getting some cards of a certain arcana.
example, I have a Death card from the Death arcana, So I can now summon a type of persona within that type of arcana by going to the velvet room

In the anime and the Arena games her hair is short (which sucks, I personally prefer the longer hair).

I think they really took it home with yukari's development in the answer. She was like the only one in the group who genuinely cared very much for door jesus that she was willing to disregard humanity just to save him again, a second chance everyone either denied or were in-between. Yukari didn't hesitated, that's why she's better than the others. Aegis/Aigis was so ridiculously forced in this story...

According to the SMT wiki page, Elizabeth travelled back in time to before the MC died and created Club Velvet, so that's why he's still in the game
I feel like I'm one of the only people who actually really enjoyed playing "The Answer". Nothing in it stood out as particular bad or even that difficult to me.. I was very apprehensive to play it because I heard it was notoriously difficult, but there was no point for me where I was really raging or upset with how difficult it was.
Perhaps it's because the original Persona games (Persona 1, P2:IS/P2:EP) were the first Persona games I played so I was already used to there not being S.Links. But generally I feel most of the criticisms for it isn't all too fair.. I especially don't understand the argument about how it ruined the characters? I feel like they had every single reason in the world to be acting the way they did and not only that, I thought the conflict helped to build upon their characters and flesh them out even more.. Anyways, those are just some of my thoughts on "The Answer", thanks to anyone who read all of that any of this. :)
Most of the critic are about how they ruined Yukari's and Mitsuru's characters, most people said that yukari turned into a bitch, personnaly Yukari's reaction to Makoto’s death was the most realistic in the game in our standard, she was showing the 7 stages of grief after losing the man she loved, or most of the people hate her because that she wanted to risk the ENTIRE WORLD’S destruction just to see him again, but she don't know at this point that he sacrificed himself to save the world and when she learns the truth she decide to honor his sacrifice. Mitsuru's behaviour is perfectly normal in Japan. They believe that if you owe someone a debt but can't repay it, you should choose to stand by their side as way of true payment and so she decided she would put aside her own feelings and stand by her side no matter what.
If it wasn't for this game, we might've not get to see them again in P4 Arena and Ultimax, or in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle.

I know that it probably would’ve gone against the purpose of this mode and it’s theme, but I feel like they should’ve at least given you the option to go back to refight Nyx to save the protagonist, but there would be a catch. You would be able to save his life, but Aigis would have to be the one to lay down her life instead. This would be the answers bad ending because, sure, the protagonist is alive, but Aigis would be dead and the abyss of time would still show up later. Maybe creating an infinite loop of them sacrificing themselves for eachother. Showing that the only way to move on is to accept loss, and that trying to undo it just gets you nowhere.
I prefer ff7 rebirth mode which you can save aerith i would prefer can you save Makoto on persona 3 reload

In Persona 4 Arena, Elizabeth goes to a door that seems to lead to the Great Seal, and she holds the Fool Arcana Card. Is she planning to free the Protagonist(Makoto), then the two of them appear in the next Persona game? Of course with cameos of Persona 3 characters.
Most likely the story have become an Aborted Arc.
Who knows they're rumors of atlus making a full remake of persona 3, not the rerelease of persona 3 portable that they have done. It is possible that rather than a remake, it will be persona 6 or something else

I believe that scene may have been made before Yukari's original haircut was decided on, and when they were reanimating all of the cutscenes to match her new haircut that one slipped through the cracks

So i assuming when the wild card journey has come to an end, they can't summom multiple persona's anymore, right? Cuz in p4 arena Yu only use izanagi, and Aigis is using Athena. Well idk just my opinion
The don't have the acces to the velvet room so they can't really summon any more but since in arena yu summons izanami no okami and aigis summons palladin for their finishers so it might be possible that thanks to the power of the wild card they can choose to use their evolved or normal persona
They still can. But only use their main persona because they are more accustomed to that. After all their best personas are Athena and Izanagi No Okami
In universe they can, but for gameplay reasons they can only use their main ones.

I've been seeing a lot of videos where the titles say that the awsorse suck, but I really don't see it. I like that the death of the main character had an effect on they're lives and seeing them move past the grieving stage makes me happy.
I just finished it and thought it was great. The only reason I can see people not liking it is because the whole thing is pretty much a grind. Its like if the main game was just tartarus the whole time in that way. But the story itself I liked alot and I’m happy with the ending so I agree I really dont see what was so bad about it.
