I got a complicated relationship with stevinel cause I shipped it when I was 14 not really thinking about the age at all. By the time I was really seeing the controversy it was already a hyperfixation so oopsies 😬. I think the appeal was the opposite parallels to each other and potential dynamic coupled with the fact that stevens the only person she really interacted with so unless you're shipping based on theoretical interactions there wasn't much else to work with. She also had the heart eyes and kissing when she saw him in SUF so that made my interest even worse. In my mind I figured because 6000 is an impossible age that age wasn't relevant but of course I understand the concern. I know that i personally didnt mean harm but yeah I wouldn't go back to that, I don't like problematic ships or being around proshippers and it was a horrible situation to be stuck in

Perhaps they did prior to Peri coming to Earth, seeing how Aquamarine mentioned her about the report, but at the same time Yellow Diamond could have easily just given her the report instead when she was assigned to collect the humans and was merely informed it was from Peridot. Honestly, I’m surprised after Steven got captured that Peridot wasn’t part of the gems’ plan to help bring Steven back (only to have Steven come back through Lion thanks to Lars dying and being brought back by Steven), given how it technically was partly her fault for reporting said-report. We could’ve seen her point-of-view of how she felt about the situation.
I could never see Pearl and lapis being together. Pearl was lapis' jailer for thousands of years. Sure lapis forgave her eventually but it still just seems wrong (kind of like if lapis got back with Jasper)
