Nerissa just has a jaw dropping singing voice like WTF how does hololive always find these ppl.
Fun fact: Nerissa sang the guide to this song to help the other singers learn it.

overall nice analysis, they knew how amazing Nerissa's voice is and they perfectly utilized it in this song.

In case you didnt know, portions of the instrumental version of this is first heard on the 30 sec promotional trailers on their channels and as well as the model teaser shorts on the Official EN Channel. When this released, I was shocked that the music for the promo trailers and model shorts are the same song.

You should check out Fuwamoco's cover of Kaibutsu from Yaosobi. They are genmates with Nerissa, they are the two blonde dogs that sing the back and forth in this song, and they are twins! They share the channel as well, it's a very unique concept (not that it hasn't been done before, but its very rare), but they did very well in their cover as well.

I'm excited to see the different approach to content they can bring to hololive!
Letting Nerissa take over the stage shows how solid are advent girls, beside Nerissa is the Diva of Advent. Leaving the impression of supportive, solidarity, and friendship for sure.
I think the effect on the vocals at 6:28 is supposed to be kind of jarring and unsettling, considering that their lore is that they're all "criminals" in some way. "Take us to paradise" sounds almost more like a command backed by a threat than it does a vocal, so the effect kinda works for it imo.
That's a good way to explain it! While I dislike how it sounds, if it was made with that in mind, I can respect the thought behind it!
Nerissa really carries the song, but she alone is heavy so the other four help balance it.
Been loving the reactions and analysis'! I could be wrong but as you've mentioned you are a metal fan, would love to see you react to Tokoyami Towa's Anemone original! Probably the most metal of the hololivers imo. Anyway keep up the awesome work ❤

Rissa carrying this song pretty hard and it's really kind of expected given her musical background and coaching the others too during rehearsal. I also really appreciate the honesty with the parts you didn't like and the explanation for it. It's really good constructive criticism and not fanboying a song just because it's from Hololive. It was quite clear to me too that when you really love something, you're also pretty vocal about it after watching the 1st Rissa cover react so everything really balances out.
1:50 in a "normal" song i would probably dislike that, but being this a debut song i get it, they are showing their voices and they want to compress as much as possible without doing an extremely long song
That's valid! Yeah, overall as a debut song I'd say this was super solid. Excited to see what this gen puts out next!
So, um. It's critically important in music to listen to the full song before trying to break it down and pausing every 5 seconds and coming to rash decisions before seeing what the song is trying to build up to. Just food for thought.
Agreed, it's important to watch fully first without pause then go back and analyse one by one so full experiment is get(sorry broken English)
