  • It is not just safety and financial benefits driving the use of drones for cell tower inspections.
You can expect huge time savings and better data collection. With the flexibility of numerous camera payload options , drones are simply more efficient. Drones easily complete the repeatable project in less than half the time it takes trained inspectors.
In this video, we discuss the benefits of using drones for cell tower inspections and some details of the process and deliverables.

Well there was no mapping or orthomosaics but rather just video and photographs, both RGB and Thermal. Flir studio for thermal analysis and premiere pro for putting a video together is all.

We like the DJI M210 and M300 for inspections. We like the payload options and find them to be incredibly stable and reliable. They are also much easier to keep an eye on to comply with VLOS regulations than smaller drones. The inspection in this video was performed with an M210 V2. Thanks for watching and the question.

I've used the DJI Mini 2 for tower shots, cheap and low risk. Excellent quality 4K 30fps video if you don't need mechanical zoom 👍

Is this a proprietary software for the autonomous mission plan?

@@mbs7567 Workflow evolves with drone development. At the time this video was made, we flew manual missions and recorded the mission. Then it was repeatable. Since this time, we are starting to use the Autel Max 4T drone. We are developing a workflow for that drone.
