    Thank you ever so much for this. Informative and quite useful. Is is a specific feature in the drone software being used for tower inspection or is at an add on?

      Thanks for the question! It's the tower mapping module in Hammer Missions:

    Looks great and simple to carry out.
    My questions are:
    1- what about the below part of the tower and the Motors rooms?
    2- Is there in possibility to export the 3D model in BIM model in parts?

      @Mahmoud, thanks for the questions!
      1 - In a real mission, you can capture the entire cell tower and model it. This video was just a demo cell tower. Here's a complete cell tower: hub.hammermissions.com/s/dpp_22b29287b9274c8db758a022adb9de35
      2 - Yes! You can export the model into BIM using .obj and other formats

    Hello and thank you for the video. I am very curious about the inspection with that Mavic Pro 2. Maybe it is just in the video, but the resolution of the photos seems so low. i am wondering how the tower owners are able to determine any issues? So that is why I wonder if the drone is good for the job or if a pilot would have to perform a flight a lot closer to the subject. I just try to understand the purpose of an inspection that does not provide high detail levels. I know the camera has decent MB specs, but even zoomed in, the quality very quickly gets bad. Thank you very much.

      Hi Don, yes the resolution of the video and the images make it hard to see the details but this was just an example capture, as opposed to a commercial inspection. You can definitely see the details from a more well-lit capture. Here's a project showcasing a more complete 3D model and drone images you can zoom into for details: hub.hammermissions.com/s/dpp_22b29287b9274c8db758a022adb9de35

    Thank you. How do clients actually utilize the 3d models? Are there other ways to deliver the model?
    Also, will the software work with the M30?

    • @HammerMissions
      @HammerMissions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can share a link with the clients of the 3D model. Here's how:
      www.hammermissions.com/post/sharing-your-projects-in-hammer-missions
      And yes, the software will be compatible with the M30 in the coming 4-6 weeks.

      @DonHodges-mg2bd ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a very good question: how do they use them. Maybe you mean what can they determine with the use of the model. At least that is the question I would like to see answered.

    • @HammerMissions
      @HammerMissions  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DonHodges-mg2bd The model typically provides 3D spatial context of where the issues are and the images provide the high resolution details for the inspection and consequent maintenance planning.

    Great video, do you have any recommendations for someone new starting a business as to how to contact these cell tower owners to reach out to them?

    • @HammerMissions
      @HammerMissions  ปีที่แล้ว

      We recommend getting in touch with an example 3D project of a cell tower with common cell tower issues annotated so that they can SEE what value drone data can provide!

    Where exactly is the "CT" button that you mentioned? I paused the video but did not see it.... Thanks.

    • @HammerMissions
      @HammerMissions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The c2 button is located on the back right of the remote controller. Here's a link explaining more: www.letusdrone.com/dji-controller-c1-and-c2-button-customization/
      If your drone does not have a C2 button, you can also alternatively simply TAP the drone icon on the map screen to register the drone's current position as an input. Hope this helps!
