    New here, I was looking for battlereport for deth wizards and.. Nice content mate as you said (and as anyone with a new rule system would be prone to do so) there were mistake done, but the learning comes from mistakes, I've enjoyed your "pop up cards" on the montage of the videos when you were explaining rules or rolling for the actions of the heros. Lookin forward to see more content 🤘

      Yep... solo play means missing rules sometimes. The more I play, however, the more gaps get filled.

    This looks like a really neat game. With the weird initiative system it may be a good idea to put down markers next to each unit after they take their turn, so that you know who already went in that round.

    Negative Bolt, If you destroy a target with this spell, you get three energy back. You would need the Destructive Power p. 95 to have your spells crit. I initially read it as effecting spells as well. So I checked on the Facebook page.

      @thetabletopengineerplays  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I don't think I counted any crits as double successes for damage when casting Necro Powers, only combat. I think I actually looked up the rule in the video.

    Dammit. This might have to be a purchase, even though I have a pile of solo wargames that I have not played through yet.

    Hi can you link where/how you got the table? I love the lazy susan style top and I its obviously perfect for solo gaming.

    • @thetabletopengineerplays
      @thetabletopengineerplays  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      By table, do you mean the actual table beneath the lazy susan or the actual lazy susan? The table is two Ikea bookshelves glued together (liquid nails) and turned on side with caster wheels. The lazy susan is a 16" lazy susan with a custom laser-cut top I made to glue down on top.

    I think you've misunderstood. The Dread Horde Master can bring a maximum of 19 Rating to a single scenario. Everyone else can bring a max of 15 Rating. You don't get free undead.

    • @CaptainBipto
      @CaptainBipto 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Special Ability - Dread Master: Increase the maximum Rating of undead you may bring to any Scenario by 4 (i.e., increase the maximum allowed total Rating of undead from 15 to 19). However, the Dread Horde Master is prohibited from starting with, or ever recruiting, any undead with a Rating greater than 2.
      **This rule does not alter the number of undead that the Dread Horde Master can recruit upon creation**.
      In addition, whenever one of your Necromantic Minions attacks an enemy within 1” of a different friendlyNecromantic Minion, their Offense is increased by 1 for that attack.

      My Necromancer is special. He gets 11. Uncle Atom told me I could do it.

      @@thetabletopengineerplays haha yea all good. I started with a Dread Horde Master, then promptly recruited a Flesh Golem. Figured it out about 2 mins before I would have won my first game. I'm gonna try a Spirit Caller now.

    • @edwardclay7551
      @edwardclay7551 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      From my reading of the rules in question. Every Necromancer starts with 7 Rating of Undead. As you play missions, whether vs, story co-op or solo, you can roll to recruit Undead once after every mission. (For example, if you are recruiting a Skeleton Archer 1 rating, you must roll a 2+ on a d6. If you are recruiting a vampire 4 rating, you would need to roll a 5+) if you succeed you add the Undead to your horde, if not you get a +1 to the next roll to summon, create or call Undead next game so inevitably after several games you will succeed. In the case of the Skeleton Archer, you would succeed automatically after the first failure.
      If, for example, you chose a Hovel or Tower for your Necromancer, you could have a maximum of 20 Rating of Undead. But normally, you can only deploy a maximum of 15 rating worth of Undead in any scenario, and the rest must stay at your base. A dread horde master is an exception in that they can deploy with 19 rating of Undead instead of the 15 normally permitted. However, they still have to recruit the Undead in a standard manner.
      One of the core strategies of a dread horde master would be to simply drown the board in as many Rating 1 Undead as you can field. Skeletons, Skeleton Archers, Zombies, Vampire Spawn. Another strategy would involve fielding as many rating 2 Undead as possible. Ghouls, Revenants, Shadows, Spectres, or Wights. Both methods are viable, and it is possible to mix and match within those units available.
      One thing I have noticed from other play throughs is having a decent amount of ranged assets is not only viable but helpful given the nature of the heroes you may be facing.
      I hope this info is helpful.

    I like the idea of having a table you can turn.
    Is there a way to post a phot of how it's done?
    Also, those buildings look fab!

    • @thetabletopengineerplays
      @thetabletopengineerplays  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      There is a lazy susan underneath. It's a 16" diameter one. What I had to do was to laser-cut two pieces that fit together to make a 2' x 2' cover that I glued down over the lazy susan. Pretty straight forward. You could probably find a local hardware store that sells 2x4 sheets of 1/4 plywood and have them cut it in half to get a top.
      The buildings are from a creator named Adrian on MyMiniFactory. I love the style of his 3D buildings.

      Having to roll a 9+ isn't good odds - and if you fail, you don't get your recruit roll.
