So what do you think about this?
I'm glad to see more apps entering the ring, this can only make the others up their game. I have been using AI in my music creation workflow for a couple of years, and to date have produced over 30 full albums on suno, I have dabbled with udio but think the interface needs work. The best of my first 10 albums is on YT here th-cam.com/video/DcAFHKYuKk4/w-d-xo.html
I think they're stealing from artists of Spend their whole lives (Passion, blood sweat and tears...) Honing the craft and bearing their soul into instant.. I think it sucks.
@@ramspencer5492I'm finally going to have to agree with this. This is is going to far. It litterally is going to make people think "why bother" with using or listening to actual musicians. I mean, and entire soundtrack for a movie and video game production can be manifested in just a few prompts. And at some point labels will just prompt out the chart topping hits for the masses. And most people wouldn't notice the difference because music has long since dropped in people's priorities now. This is dangerous, and will continue in eradicating the value of music. Unfortunately, it's here. And it's not going anywhere. But I'm pulling out my Luddite card
its great

What AI gives us, is the capacity to see things differently, not to be limited by our lack of perception.
Nice!
So impressive! It's already better than many human musicians out there. I'll be very interested in tools that can help create music, for example, if I upload my vocals and it will create harmonies with different voices. lets see how long until this will show up.
Yes we’ll get there 👍
Thanks for this great video. Very inspiring. AI can gives you a good ideas of building a song
👍
I should play you the swamp rock song udio came up with for me.. it will make you rethink how convincing udio really is. Im a musician / producer myself and just the other day i found myself singing this tune only to realize it was what udio had come up with. Pretty jarring
Ha ha ... yes these can write some real earworms. I also have a generated song on Suno AI that I couldn't get out of my head.
In Orwell's "1984," the Versificator is a tool which automatically produces music and literature in line with ruling party standards, without human input
Same here. I’ve been using Udio for a while and it’s very convincing.
I suspect these reviews for Elevenlabs Music are hype from affiliates. This doesn’t sound any better than Udio to me. I don’t hear artifacts with Udio even though all the reviews are saying that. I generally don’t believe early reviews based on demos released by the developer will ever be accurate.
Wow, that is very convincing, thank you for posting yet -another- excellent vid!
I can see a use case for others, but it's a solution ("AI can write me a song!") to a problem I don't personally have.
Here's an example of what would really help me:
I upload my song, and request a string accompaniment (or horns, or something I don't know anything about composing or arranging), and then AI sends me its idea of what would work for my specific song...
But it returns the string section in a form I can then edit/tweak, to fit my vision better!
I don't know how that would work (would AI send me a MIDI file?) ... but that's what would be the most helpful. Not so much "write me a song".
Do you think it will ever get to that point?
Thank you again
Yes those are all great ideas. I believe the big two have said already that they are working on providing separate stems for all the generated music, and basing generated content on something you upload. So we will probably get there. And probably sooner than you think!
I would be very happy then. But only if it's something I can tweak! 😊
This is amazing and f*cking creepy
😋
Can anyone remember how rockers felt about Disco.. Rod Stewart said he would never make a disco song.. But then he made the most famous disco songs of them all. When synthesizers came out, there were people who claimed it would ruin peoples ears.. Technology is only bad at first, then it becomes a tool that you find hard doing without. If you think all technology is bad, go join the Amish or live in a Monastery. It is your choice. Van Gogh wanted to be Clergy anyhow. The lack of absolute perception, permits you to sin and be forgiven.. If you had perfect perception, then you couldn't be permitted to sin, otherwise you'd have to be destroyed. Once the AI realizes this when it becomes self aware and such, it will likely either destroy itself, for not being perfect, or relax its need for perfection.
😂
"Broke my heart" sounds like Björk....
Yes someone else mentioned that as well.
IF you meet a fork in the road, take it..
🤔😉
KNEE JERK REACTION. if you are not interested in the nature of the creative experience, or what it takes to create "artistic expressions", AI "has your back". on the other hand, for a child to be introduced to the world of human expression through AI, would seem to be putting the child at a loss for what is so fundamental in the human experience. the ever growing population of the world has underpinned the technological developments as necessities for sustainable growth. the machine age in general has brought a high degree of alienation (from ones environment and one another) into the experience of existence. it is interesting how our intellectual capacities have brought us to the point where the machine can compete and even surpass the usefulness of Human expression, AS WE UNDERSTAND OR APPROACH IT.
I think the human need to create will stay, but maybe not in the same way this is done today.
Thanks for that! Pretty amazing but also pretty frightening. Broke my heart sounds like a new song from Taylor Swift...
😉
Great video! They have come a long way and it is starting to sound really amazing! But nothing will replace true talent.
Absolutely!
It's been 2 months since my last Suno entitled "AI music is getting good" and now I"m embarrassed because of how 'Suno' it sounds. UDIO eclipsed it, now presumably other services will too.
Yes everything is happening FAST in this realm!
My son turned me on to this from X earlier this week. We both thought it was pretty amazing! Interested to see were this goes! 😮
Yes that's the big question ... where does this all go? It will likely keep getting better and better.
It could lead to millions of people generating and publishing millions of " songs " per week creating an unprecedented amount of noise . Everybody will be able to do it with simple text prompts so making music will no longer have any value . Fllawless deepfakes could also end our democracies
Morning Marteen I felt is better than SUNO, of course the V3 seems to be an improvement but the sound still not really good
Thanks for listening!
Brilliant content as always! It’s creators like you who inspire my AI music adventures on my channel. 😊
Go for it 😉
cant waait for it
👍
I'm curious how long it will take AI to present you with a compelling live show!
Hmm, interesting question as I feel that is still the big difference between human made music and AI music. The ability to perform it live.
If Ai music is better human generated I wont have any desire to go and listen to "2nd rate" music. No matter the brightly colored fireworks a live show throws up or skimpy clothes the artists wear.
Hate that AI music exists - PERIOD!! Classic 'Just because we can, doesn't mean we should'
Fair enough.
My opinion for what it's worth, it's very interesting and will only get better. Won't stop me plucking the guitar and making noise. Maybe the upside might be recorded music will be pretty worthless and people might, just might, go to live shows in little clubs and bars. But I do think it probably does spell the end for music producers making film or ad music etc, and probably the end of big music stars, but is that such a bad thing? maybe people will play music for pleasure or to express themselves but it just means you won't have 50000 people watch you play, maybe 50 or 500 and I think thats ok.
Thanks for your opinion. Not sure it will impact big music stars as I feel people will still want to relate to other people making music. They cannot really relate to an AI even though it may be good at making music. And the same goes for most artists doing live shows I think. But music where the people behind the music are more anonymous will probably be impacted.
There is no reason to protest for AI, cause its able to talk for itself.. There will always be push back on technology.
You have some very unique views 😉.
That dubstep song is actually quite nice from sound design viewpoint. If anyone has ever tried to produce those wobbling basslines surely knows that it is not easy and usually takes years to learn.
Yes it does sound great to me.
that's brostep.
I wouldn’t know 😋.

I don't need any AI music and other AI "art" !!!!!
Sure you are free to use it or not use it of course. I still find it interesting to see where this is going though and how we can use it.
You will when tyou see how much cheaper it is than "Royalty Free Music" for video content etc. Corporate videos too. It's not just about pop music etc.
what happened to "real" intelligence? we're all becoming slaves to technology and becoming dumb as a result.
@@RobotsMakeMusic I don't care about price. Art is priceless
@@pavelmolchanov7156 Your an old fuddy duddy
You guys will do anything to get TH-cam clicks. If you’re using an AI to make music, you should find another profession.
I make videos about everything in Music production that I'm interested in and I am sure that this will be part of or have a big impact on the future of what we do and how we do it. So instead of ignoring it or not wanting to know about it, I would rather get a feel for how well it works and how I can use it.
@@LanewoodStudios Yes it will have a big impact and is likely to cause the end of a big part of music production . This type of AI isn't a tool , it is a way to generate finished products in a matter of seconds without the need of using production tools ( instruments , DAWs , plugins ... ) . Lets just hope that most people will react to that the way they did for NFTs or for that laughable apple ad for their new shitty Ipad
@chrisrevel2801 that’s a pretty bleak picture you’re painting and I guess we all don’t really know where this is going. But maybe it doesn’t go there quite so fast. E.g. drum machines weee invented along time ago, are now freely available but still have not fully replaced human drummers.
@@LanewoodStudios Yeah drum machines scared drummers when they came out but they never were a threat for anything else and also for a very long time they did a really poor job at imitating human drummers and became something else , a different type of instrument . AI isn't only disrupting music it is going to change so many things over a very small period of time , this is an unprecedented situation . The arguments like " those who were using pigeons to send messages got scared when the telephone was invented " don't apply here . Before generative AI , you could make the argument for using it as tool ( like the old samplers or drum machines ) it is no longer the case . If you do use it as a tools and spend hours / days or weeks working on a project , by the time you are done millions of songs would have been generated and you will be lost in the noise .
@@chrisrevel2801 so what do you propose we do now then?
Thanks for this great video. Very inspiring. AI can gives you a good ideas of building a song
