I have exam next month, 2 questions I have ! 1 _how I know my car have distance one meter to other car ? 2 - how should I know my back car is straight to other car ? Thanks if you can answer me
Good luck with your exam next month! Here are the answers to your questions: How to know your car is one meter away from another car? Look at the space between your car and the other car. A good reference is that one meter is about the width of a standard car door when fully open. Practice this in a parking lot to get a feel for the distance. How to know your back car is straight with the other car? When reversing, check your side mirrors. Both mirrors should show an equal distance between your car and the parking lines (or the other car). You can also glance back to ensure your vehicle is aligned with the car behind you. Practicing in a safe spot will help you develop this skill.
Great question! The best way to determine whether a vehicle requires full turns or 3/4 turns when parallel parking is to look at the size of the vehicle and its turning radius. Smaller vehicles or compact cars often require full turns, while larger vehicles like SUVs or trucks may need 3/4 turns because their turning radius is wider. When in doubt, start with full turns and adjust based on how the car moves during the maneuver. With more practice, you’ll get a better feel for it and be able to judge which method works best for the specific vehicle you’re driving. Hope this helps!
He didn’t straighten the steering wheel because it’s actually not needed! The way you come in is the way you go out, so leaving it as is makes it much easier. This way, you don’t have to turn the wheel too much when exiting the spot!
If the order car is shorter than mine, should i match mirror to mirror or back to back and another question when i am backing up , so do I need to look at my left mirror ok look at behind to watch were the rear part of the vehicle is heading?
@delamourpierre897 If the other car is shorter than yours, it’s better to match back to back. This way, you ensure you have enough space when you start reversing. When you’re backing up, you should check your surroundings frequently: look over your shoulder (especially your right side if you're backing to the right), use your rearview mirror, and also glance at your side mirrors as needed. This helps you see both the curb and any potential obstacles. In general, it’s good to look behind for most of the maneuver while checking mirrors briefly to monitor the car’s position.
