Thank you for these great ideas. I'm thinking of starting a soap business next year with my mentally disabled brother in law in order to build his self confidence and to give him a sense of purpose. My budget is really limited and I found your suggestions super helpful.
OMG, I have been cutting parchment paper by hand and wrapping and I just love the finish product, but the food wrap and labels just saved me a ton of time! Thank you kindly. Many blessings coming your way
GREAT! Another use for pop-up wax paper. I use it during soap making for laying down spatula etc. Once finished just toss the paper. Some years ago I inherited a humongous roll of medium grey gift-wrapping paper. It has a waxy back side, so nothing leaks through during the summer. I fold it much the same as the wax paper in this video, then apply a label. Going to look into these long labels, seems very practical.
I started out using shrink wrap bags to package my soaps. Just like you I was searching for a paper based packaging but boxes was out of my budget. Someone suggested that same deli paper in a group I'm in and it actually came up to 75% less in costs for me. I struggled to wrap in the beginning but I got the hang of it now. My branding is white with black fonting. I love how they look now. Still happy this video popped up. Thanks for sharing. ♥️🤍🖤🇹🇹
Thanks I make great soap but my package is terrible. Its like serving a great dinner on a trash can lid I've been looking for ways to get a great presentation. Thanks again
Thanks so much for sharing. I really like the wax paper method you show. It's simple yet attractive. I have yet to perfect the shrink wrap method and as you say, there are always a couple that go wrong and you have to throw them out so a little waste involved.
I know it’s been along time since this video was done but I thought I’d make a comment I’ve gone through a lot of what she’s done here and my final solution was saran wrap and my business card with all the information on it I would fold the business card in half and put it on one side of my soap and wrap it with saran wrap and then heat shrink the saran wrap to the soap I’ve got bars of soap that are four years old and still just as good as the day they were wrapped you can smell through the saran wrap yet it doesn’t do anything to the soap just thought you would like to know that. It was the cheapest and fastest way to solve the problem
Thank you for the great videos you do. I just started making soap, just for the family, but thought it be fun to wrap them. Bought some of the Logan wraps.
Hi Bonnie - The soaps I make are natural and rustic. I've been trying to figure out how to get away from plastic packaging as well. I am guessing that the wraparound labels can be purchased from Online Labels and created using Word text boxes. Thanks for sharing your packaging ideas:)
Love your video, great solutions. I watched this video more than once because all of your methods are good & I couldn't decide on just one. You could've kept these money saving tips to yourself, but thanks for caring about our pocketbooks.
Thank you for this because I was struggling w/the shrink wrap alone and forgot I had an Impulse Sealer and voila! Problem solved! Now, wrapping my soaps are a breeze. 👍🏾
I have been burning my brain trying to figure out how I can wrap soaps for gifting during the holidays. The paper method is super cheap and looks fairly simple. Loos like a bar I'd buy at a local farmers market.I have the urge to run to a local store that sells wholesale restaurant items every now and then. They usually carry the boxes of 100 papers for about $1! Thank you so much for sharing this method with us
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us, and your patience. and I love your paper wrapped bars. So professional looking and they ship well, (I have a few from you). I LOVE your soaps, and Your videos. Please continue, esp the how to videos and if you could do some on pitfalls to avoid and how to fix oops that would be great. I find myself inspired to want to make wonderful soaps for my family and friends. Also your goats milk shredded soap base is awesome, really feels good for your skin.
Maybe it's the mold that I'm using but my bars never come out great. What mold do you use? Your bars look so awesome! Also will you be doing a video on how you wrap other types of soap the the rounds ones? Thanks for your videos I love them! And I'm not sure if it's just me but you have a very calming voice =)
I use silicone loaf molds. I have been packaging the round bars in plastic but most of my bars are rectangle. I saw one lady who used coffee filters for round soap so that is something to look into.
I loved this video. I also like the idea of the wax paper due to all the wastage of the shrink wrap. But can you smell the soap..? all of my customers are sniffers.
Wondered if the paper wrapped bars hold up well in a retail environment (people picking up the bars trying to smell them, etc).... thank you for your video
Bonnie - cudos to you for such a great wax paper idea! Also A++ for wearing gloves when handling your customers product. So many videos out there where this simple but very important detail is forgotten. Do you think parchment paper would work as well or would it stain from the oils in the soap?
absolutely beautiful. Do you design the sticker for the paper wrapped bar on the website you order from ? Or do you find it more cost effective to use your home printer? Ink jet or laser? I am very impressed
I liked the paper wraps. Can I ask please...the long labels - do you print them off yourself or are they printed for you? I liked them and think they are nice and simple. Thanks
do you think you would be a good idea to shrink wrap all your simple bars that people want to look at and smell and then choose their bar but have the bar is actually wrapped in the wax paper? I was just thinking that wouldn't use very much plastic because I know a lot of people think about that these days and it would give the bars more protection.
I know this is a late post but I'm curious as to how you got your wrap around labels? I am using the 2 label method with shrink wrap and your right, it's very expensive, therefore looking for an alternative. My soaps are 9 inches all around and I can't seem to find a template or even a custom labeling website to make a 12 inch label. Did you create your own to make sure everything was lined up correctly? I've been trying forever to get a cigar band to even work in my favor. And can you find label sheets with 10-12 inch labels say at staples or would I need to custom order them as well? Thanks in advance.
Hello Bonnie loved the video I learned a lot, I'm wondering where do you buy your clear soap mold I haven't done the cpop as yet now I feel I need the same mold TIA
Thank you so much! I have been wondering about other options! Question, I see you are wearing gloves. Is that to keep the bars clean or safety reasons?
I don't even have a reason to learn how to package soap. I just find these videos oddly relaxing and informative.
Rich haha same here wuz just thinking the same
hah dunno why this made my day
The paper packaging looks much better in my opinion! ☺
Thank you for these great ideas. I'm thinking of starting a soap business next year with my mentally disabled brother in law in order to build his self confidence and to give him a sense of purpose. My budget is really limited and I found your suggestions super helpful.

You're very generous to share so much information.

Judging by the precision on how you line up those stickers you've clearly done a few! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Yes, there was some trial and error involved. :-)

Thanks so much for sharing. I really like the wax paper method you show. It's simple yet attractive. I have yet to perfect the shrink wrap method and as you say, there are always a couple that go wrong and you have to throw them out so a little waste involved.
Are use saran wrap 200 foot roll is really cheap. it works great you can smell the soap you can see the soap and it sells good that way

Nice, and I actually like the last packaging the best.
Thank you for the great videos you do. I just started making soap, just for the family, but thought it be fun to wrap them. Bought some of the Logan wraps.

Thanks. I really like the paper wrap. It looks very nice and it has the added benefits that you mentioned.
Those food wraps are very clever! Now if I am smart enough to be able to get my printer to work out a label is another story.
Love your video, great solutions. I watched this video more than once because all of your methods are good & I couldn't decide on just one. You could've kept these money saving tips to yourself, but thanks for caring about our pocketbooks.

Thank you for the packaging ideas!
Thanks for the video! Just wondering , are your wrap around labels an Avery product? If so, could you tell the label number?
Hey what are the specific dimensions of the bars in this video. I’m trying to size reference the Logan wrap.
Great job. Thanks for sharing 😀😎
What type of labels do you use?
Where do you get your stickers from?
What size of labels do you use???
How did you print on the box?
Where you get the paper you wrap the soap with
Thank you very helpful, on the plastic full wrap , how many holes did you poke and how?
I loved this video.
I also like the idea of the wax paper due to all the wastage of the shrink wrap. But can you smell the soap..? all of my customers are sniffers.
I love your ideas for packaging but I'm wondering how would you go about packaging different shaped soaps?
Wondered if the paper wrapped bars hold up well in a retail environment (people picking up the bars trying to smell them, etc).... thank you for your video
Please where can I get the boxes?
What size is your soap labels?
Which band labels do you use with the Logan wax paper?

Bonnie - cudos to you for such a great wax paper idea! Also A++ for wearing gloves when handling your customers product. So many videos out there where this simple but very important detail is forgotten. Do you think parchment paper would work as well or would it stain from the oils in the soap?
do you suppose to weigh each bar of soap before packaging?
and can you still smell the fragrance through the paper?
If using a shrink wrap with no hole, should we punch a hole in it for continued drying purposes, or is it just about scent?
Where did you get the label app from?
Can you tell me what impulse sealer you are using, please?
How long are your labels please. Thank you
absolutely beautiful. Do you design the sticker for the paper wrapped bar on the website you order from ? Or do you find it more cost effective to use your home printer? Ink jet or laser? I am very impressed

Hi Bonnie, Can you tell me the brand name of the labels you used with the wax paper wrapping? I’ve been looking online and can’t find them. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing! I learnt so much from watching this.

where you make label like that? it's awesome thanks for sharing
Does wax paper absorb and oil or scent of the soap?
I know this is a late post but I'm curious as to how you got your wrap around labels? What is the size of the wax?? Help
Can u nplease tell me which are best online selling soaps across the world.
What label are you using ?? I don't see it in the site you gave ;) thanks
You cannot see the soap though when wrapped in paper.
Try using saran wrap
Thank you so much! I have been wondering about other options! Question, I see you are wearing gloves. Is that to keep the bars clean or safety reasons?
