Hey dean can you re-link the machine you have, the link doesn’t work anymore. Thank you! I bought a heat sealer but it will not cut the bag cleanly like yours is.
wow Thank you so much. I am so glad I found your videos I almost gave up making my loafs of soap due to the fact of I was getting tired of fighting getting them in the wrappers. Not now I just wrapped a whole loaf in 5 minutes. thank you again and keep up the videos we love them.
Man, this is a really great tutorial!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I've been struggling with sealing the open end of the shrink bag. I never thought to use a heat sealer like that!!! And the wrapping outside is purely genius. I don't own a heat sealer yet, though. Wonder if I could use my food saver in a pinch...
Hi Dean, i know this is an older post.... I watch all your videos. I've been soaping for about 6 years, but I still learn so much. I have found after shrinking, I sometimes get those hard bits usually on the corners. And yes they are sharp and scratch!! What I did was purchase a little $1.00 small nail clipper (used only for soaping) and snip the hard, pointy and sharp bits off. Works WONDERFUL! Hope this helps.!
The tip about double wrapping over the label is genius. This is why I love your videos, very informative and I always come away inspired and having learnt something. Thank you :-)
Glad you like it. However I dont wrap my soaps like this anymore. I have my new way in a video next week. Along with a contest to win some molds so stay tuned. :)
Hi Dean, I wish I'd seen this about three hours ago! My next round of wrapping will look so much better thanks to this. BTW, if you put a damp towel under your cutting board it won't move around as much.
2 things: Tip that works for me: I seal my bag, snip a tiny corner off the end, and then I use the heat to shrink wrap. That way the air can get out, and the hole can't even be seen after shrinking. Secondly, my sealer smokes overtime I seal. Any ideas what's wrong? It's brand new... (Also, I use a chopstick along the sealer back and forth, and the plastic residue comes right off. I hope that's a helpful tip, but maybe it works because it's new.)
I stopped using this format due to the fact customers said they found it hard to get to the soap. So I reverted back to just a 100x150mm plastic bag with a rubber band on it.
Hi Dean! This is a great video. You have no idea how much I have learnt from your videos. If ever I come to Australia, would love to meet up. Thank you so much. Keep them coming.
Thank you so much for this tutorial I always wondered how this was done. Also thank you for the links in the description truly helpful.. great detailed video
I love you. ❤ U give me life. I was contemplating buying one of these on amazon. I put it in my cart but never bought. I think I will get it now. Thank you Dean.
Thanks, Dean. I thought someone said you could seal Saran Wrap. I also purchased some soap where the wrapping is paper and not plastic and not shrieked. Thank goodness I can use my embossing heat gun. Those asking brands..Milwaukee and Embossing Arts are a few. You can get them from places like Michaels, Joann's, Hobby Lobby and Beverly's..basically arts and crafts type stores.
I would just point out to people a common sense move, which is to move your extra bags out of the way before you start with your heat gun. If you work in a small space, you could ruin your bags with residual heat. They look great. I use waterproof labels to help with the dirty finger situation.
I'd love to see Buddy sometimes. I am eagerly waiting until I can buy another birdie friend (R. I. P. to my parakeet, Windsor). I appreciate the information you share in your videos.
This is Buddy about 2 months ago but it's really hard to get a decent photo of him as it's scared of anything big in his face. He's about 9 months old now. www.sentinelsoap.com/Buddy.png
best tutorial I have watched so far. you are so awesome. Not sure I you would answer my question but, just wondering why wouldn't just put your label in the first shrink wrap. I realize it's sticky in the back, but maybe would not need to use the adhesive back? Just wondering. Thank you for all your great videos.
That's what I was thinking. Makes no sense to double wrap, and it's not cost effective. Just carefully place the label in the first bag with the soap, and don't peal the adhesive backing off.
I know I’m late but I’m new to soaping and this video was straight to the point and well explained. But I was wondering what setting is your heat gun on? I don’t want to melt the melt and pour soap
Mr Wilson you are amazing thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you :)
Honestly said that "sometimes even i can't do it"👍 we get confidence with it, that it may happen not a big deal while shrink wrap❤️
Very professional. Thank you.
Just what I needed. Today is the first time try with shrink wrapping my soap
Super quick! Straight to the point & very informative… exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it :)
Dean, I love your videos! Clear, concise and easy to understand. Thanks!
Thank you :)

Thanks Lydia. For my melt and pour soaps I have returned back to the previous package method. Small 100 x 150mm plastic bags.
Brilliant!!!🤩
Very clear presentation
Very awesome God bless you for tutorial .I think you are pushing me to start practicing this .
Thanks for the demonstration.
Your work is so amazing
very impressed with your attention to detail, thank you for sharing.
Hello, I've read that shrink wrapping helps prevent melt and pour soap from sweating (glycerin dew) thank you for this video
Thankyou Mr Dean for sharing, i love this idea👍🤗

Hi Dean, I wish I'd seen this about three hours ago! My next round of wrapping will look so much better thanks to this. BTW, if you put a damp towel under your cutting board it won't move around as much.
Thanks. Normally I have bluetack holding the board down :)
yeah a damp disposable rag (we have chux brand, not sure if that's an international thing) is what chefs use, stops any board movement.
Good work thank you so much 🙏
That's wonderful
Wonderful great work thanks
great job.
Simply Excellent

Virginia Westmark may I know what printer you use for your waterproof paper?
Yes i found that rhe hard way.. Ruining other bags
Nice one

Awesome! hope it isn't too much unwrapping
Well, that's what I am finding now. Because they are sealed so well, you need a knife to get it out.
Hi Dean, I see a lot of perfection in anything you do. I was looking for a way to wrap my soaps better. think will try this. Shyamala, South India
I have the same exact heat gun :-) thanks for this video
Thanks, I just put out a new video for the same packing.

@@DeanWilson I'll go and watch it shortly
Awesome Dean great tips soap looks pretty too. Merry Xmas mate have a good one.🎄🎄🎄🎄❤️
Merry Christmas :) Have a safe New Years.
Thank u
this is so helpful. i have trying to heat seal, but i keep making holes ..
Yes, that does happen, try and use the heat gun in circles rather than direct heat. Start at 30 cm away then move closer until it starts to tighten.
Thanks for the video. Could I use a hairdryer instead of a heat gun?
yes, but I suggest from a distance.
Very much appreciated(: thank you
Great video, \
Thanks awesome
You are welcome :)
Very nice. Can we use a plastic sticker to avoid rewrapping?
Yes, if you like. That might work
I know I’m late but I’m new to soaping and this video was straight to the point and well explained. But I was wondering what setting is your heat gun on? I don’t want to melt the melt and pour soap
This sealer model setting was 4. But I suggest try each level on an empty bag first to try it.
