I stopped playing Cyberpunk right near the end not even bothering to complete it as it's such a dull, boring bland game story wise & started playing The Witcher 3 again.
      The Witcher 3 is EPIC!!!
Nevermind the fact that they're based in two totally different times, one medieval & the other in the future. Its no excuse.
It's hard to believe the creators of The Witcher 3 are the same creators behind the abomination in comparison that is Cyberpunk!!!

Post game depression is a real thing. I first experienced it playing Witcher 1. It haunted me for weeks. But when I finished the Witcher 3, I was depressed for 2 months. I felt like everyone I knew and loved had died. Respawning in Kaer Morhen (before any expansion s) with none of your friends there or in the world anymore was shattering. Then I found I wasn't the only one. Support groups literally popped up for those experiencing the same depression. This game was so immersive you became Geralt, and lived in his world with his friends and loved ones as your own. 7 years later and this is still the best video game ever made. Nothing else comes close. It set a bar so high that even dreaming of making a better game is impossible. Thank goodness for the expansion packs. The ending of Blood and Wine with Regis was so satisfying, yet so depressing knowing this was the last tale of Geralt. When Geralt looks at you and smiles it's heartbreaking. The epilogue to Blood and Wine was wonderful, with all the various endings being pleasant and satisfying, not leaving that huge hole after finishing just the game without the expansions.

I wanted to play this game before work, whenever I could. I couldn't get enough and I didn't want it to end. One day I will go back to it - but I don't want to tarnish that feeling.

    something
i honestly felt like i was a thief when i finished Blood and Wine, watched Geralt smile at me, and the credits rolling, knowing I paid something like this only 10€
the emotions I felt when I saw Ciri's "lifeless" body in the Isle of Mists, Geralt breaking down, only for them to then hug each other and talk
how I felt when I first understood Gaunter's nature, how I felt so conflicted about Syanna

Sapkowski for creating such a beloved character as Geralt of Rivia, and for CDPR bringing Geralt back for new adventures. in the 3+ years and 3200+ hours I have been playing this game, it has 'saved me' on so many occasions. This character and this game are so very special... never will another game come anywhere close to comparison of The Witcher. The end of Blood and Wine.. after doing everything in the game beforehand, experiencing all the characters, the story, the world, everything.. then there’s Yennefer on that sofa outside with Geralt in a paradise and him retiring.. with nothing left to do.. happy. Man that moment hit me so hard when I realized in that moment that I’ve done everything, and it was the end of Gerald’s story and time for me to say goodbye. Felt like I lost a friend. My 2nd playthrough of W3 was about 3 years after first one, so after these years I forgot many details - quests, some parts of story etc. In addition, new playthroughs can be occasion for making different choices in the main story :)

Witcher 3! It's a 'security blanket' for all other video games. If I'm playing a game that I can't figure out at the moment, or if it just seems too weird...I go back to the Witcher, because W3 is...familiar to me, I know it, I understand it (even if I'm still learning new things about it). The characters in W3 are like a family to me.

Though I can't remember the part where Geralt burns the elf. After the isles of mist quest, everything was happening so fast, it was a blur. And when Ciri became a wicher, I was like 'what just happened?!' I'm on my second playthrough (my first playthrough, I got 'delete saves' happy and deleted the first playthrough right before Geralt went to see Regis in the cemetery 😬😪😔

I dont think Geralt would want another life. I think he is happy with to one he got so for me that is the canon answer

    • @Brown2099
      @Brown2099  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I agree, but the other dialog option sounds far less cinematic to be honest.
Also, the games books and Tv are bot connected canonically technically. Each are separate, accept the games lead on from the books so its like a parallel cannon sorta thing. But in any case, I agree for the most part.
Cheers for the viewership and taking the time to comment.

@@Brown2099 Yeah that is fair, Option 2 is really good written and acted out!
Im also aware that Geralt in the books has had times when he wish he was not a Witcher, But i think it is just passing thoughts at times when he feels shitty. He is human after all. He is also very old and being happy with your life 100% of the Time is unlikely.
Example: If you are happy with your life until your 20 and from 20-25 you are depressed and want to die and then from 25-37 you are happy until you lose a loved one and you are depressed from 37-39 but then you are happy and content with your life from 39-80. Just an example (maybe a very shitty one tbh)
Point is you was only depressed like 7 years in your life time. You would still say you lived a happy life! Sorry if you had read all this just for that lmao.
Finally my point: I think Geralt is very content with being a witcher even though there might be a few times he wish he was not. 😅 After all this there still be a dialouge in the books i’ve missed that says otherwise but A content Geralt is the impression i got of him in all the media there is on him. Great video btw!

I am the unluckiest man alive, every time Geralt finds Ciri my sight blures and my cheeks feel cold and wet. I have read the first books 25 years ago. Sword of destiny, i felt for geralt, did not like Yen. This game made me understand, why she was like that and why Geralt loves her. If only there was little more to play with Geralt and Ciri. The father daughter energy is what you need after all the horrible things you see, read and do in this masterpiece. Go CDPR, you became better writers then Szapkowski who got lured by the dark side (Netflix).
Also as much as I selfishly want to play Geralt again, i am human enough to understand he deserves his retirement with Yen, even though he is a imaginary character. I only noticed how old and tired he looks on my 3rd playthrough. Give that man a peace CDPR and give us new character, in different part of world, chance of meeting Ciri, maybe geralt, befriend Dandelion, meet Viviane (i felt in love with that woman for a day or so :D, Cerrys, Hjalmar, Regis, Ezkel. Give us chance to rebuild Witcher schools and give us another Villain, but we already know who is the meaniest out there. Not sure i want to meet him again, the look he gave me from that well scares me to this day.

I already finished all the known main quest all the way to Blood and Wine, not quite sure about all of the side quests though but there are plenty of it already completed (I'm a completionist, you see). Still got a lot of question marks all around Skellige sea and I don't think it's worth the hassle to visit every single one of them. I dunno, maybe I'm gonna go for NG+ run if I have more free time in the future, 10/10 game that we sadly can't enjoy it for the first time anymore
