I was born in England of Guyanese parents and I/we have travelled many times to beautiful Guyana. I, like many of your subscribers agree with their comments. Beautiful homes are built, however why on earth don't the Government surface the roads and put in pavements and proper street lighting. Guyana has an abundance of stone (I’ve been to 2 quarries) and implement local Guyanese contractors to carry out these jobs in good faith to help and safeguard the community. What would visitors and tourists think...we can’t or don’t know how to build roads? Always an issue with infrastructure when developing new/older places.Get a move on learn from other developed countries. Keep Guyana Clean, safe, and beautiful for all.

These are lovely properties on Guyana East Coast reminds me of our similar properties in Trinidad well designed and built with paint appearance lawns trees shrubs flower plants to enhance the tropical beauty of these properties. Excellent video of the Guyana properties.
Those people don’t speak to each other. I have family that lived there, they said neighbors would see you and rush into their cars or homes so they wouldn’t have to say hi
Let's face it: The prices for the following: Chicken, beef, fish Sugar rice flour OIL VEGETABLES ARE RIDICULOUS HIGH ESPECIALLY FOR THE POOR, THESE BEAUTIFUL HOUSES, WHAT ARE THE PRICES,? WHO OWNS THEM AND HOW THEY WERE ABLE TO GET IT????
Inflation is all over the world. People work hard to build their homes, and while there are a few who have received theirs through ill-gotten gains it's not everyone.
They look a lot like the homes the British owned in the 50’s and 60’s. Only these would be owned now by the elite Guyanese class - But where does the money come from????
yes they look like 1950 homes, but can you show me 1950 houses like them? well I have to tell you we guyanese struggle to buy a piece of saltfish everyday, so when we want a house we rob the bank,so now you know where the money comes from

Please ask the Brits to give back a minor fraction of what they drained from our country so we build those things you are asking for
@@rileygurrucharran1865 it wasn't only the British. Other countries have and are robbing Guyana of it's riches.

I blame Spellchecker, again!
Apologies for the misunderstanding, misprint.
Similar situation in South Africa. Under democratic government infrastructure is slowly decaying. Corruption is rife, and improvements are nil.
