- Hey, Witcher 3 is my all time favorite game. I have more than 1000 hours in this game (and counting), and I thought that I could share this experience and knowledge with you, so that's precisely what I’m going to do.
Today we will take a look at the best build in Witcher 3 for the Next Gen edition, in my eyes, excluding glitches, skill-switching and things along those lines.
The video will cover everything that’s relevant for the build including; weapons, armor, ability points, mutagens, potions, decoctions, runewords, glyphwords, relevant stats and much more!
I will make another video covering Metamorphosis and Piercing Cold, which are both really good now.
If you plan to use more potions than decoctions I would recommend Delayed recovery instead of fast metabolism, it's just more to manage.

Looking forward, what build would you be interested in next? I had planned a Metamorphosis or Piercing Cold but if you got any other ideas feel free to let me know. :)
Would love to see "weird"/ unconventional builds that experiment with different mechanics in the game. Like a wolven set, cat eyes, bleeding heavy build might be interesting to watch even if the build itself isn't very strong

Hey I was doing this build by myself and I was only about to put alchemy skill in the middle slots as all the surrounding slots are occupied by combat skills. My question is does your build is actually stronger while using less combat skills and more alchemy? Thanks man I'm trying to figure out how to make the MAXIMUM damage using Ephoria and your build might be the answer I'm just wondering if yours is the best to use ephoria at its max

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. I’m not really following but the Alchemy abilities are crucial for getting the maximum value out of Euphoria. If you want to swap one alchemy skill you could swap Fixative as it’s a QOL thing for either Sunder Armor or Resolve.
@@Glemdal i mean on the main slots of character build Im using 10 combat skill so my attack power is 210%= 60+60+60+30.
And Euphoria gives an additional 171.75%
In my build Im using fleet footed, deadly precision and sunder armor wich gives me an extra 60% attack power instead of putting lets say hunter instinct, protective coating and fast metabolism.
Im only at level 58 so can't unñock everything yet and run some test between your built and mine so I was wondering if the alchemy skills that I mentionned surpasses the combat skills I chose.
Although I can see that killing spree would be better to have.....

Another copy can be found in a chest by the shrine where Hammond is praying, on Faroe.
If you are referring to that chest idk why it wouldn’t spawn sorry, but as you can see you can buy the diagram as well.

Really quality concise, clear and to the point guide bro. I started a fresh playthrough for next gen and never done the DLC's before, so this is really helpful to see what direction to take my character build. With guides like these I think you should def see an increase in subscribers. Your also chill and not over the top or annoying to listen to, which is always a plus in my books lol. Cheers.

Bro awesome quality, keep going, take few things from ur build to my and put ancient leshai decoction except troll now u still have pretty good hp heal but every time u use quen u have more and more energy boost
Bravo sir!! I've watched many build vids, and I have to say, this is by far the best and easiest to understand of any! Great editing and posting of summary et al. I'm mid game now and have geared my build towards Euphoria, so this really helped put the build in perspective and what direction to take. I have to say, I really like the look of the new Forgotten Wolf armor. If you do a vid using that, it would be most appreciated!! Again, Kudos to you sir!! Ciao

You can actually get up to 171.75% with the alchemy formula from the new Miasmal quest in Devil's pit!

avoiding that quest for now since it's bugs up the whole music system in the game, it's either playing devils pit exploration ost 24/7 or not at all
@@AhmadWahelsa After you finish the quest, you enter Novigrad sewers and the bug disapears for the whole game. Worked for me atleast

If you can affort a little bit of less resistance you can use the normal manticore trousers and chest piece out of your first playthrough which give 10 toxicity instead of 5

Hey there, Thank you for the updated guide! I just wanted to let you know that I think there was a mistake in the labelling. In the video you mention that the Armor, trousers and boots are of the "legendary manticore" set and your reasoning is the +5 max toxicity per item, but I believe its the base manticore set that has the +5 toxicity, while the legendary version has +20% adrenaline gain.
So I just wanted to double check which one to go.

Very nice video and awesome build. But for my taste i would switch 3 strong attack abilities for fleet footed, deadly precision and tissue transmutation. A little QoL and survivability. And i’m upset that everybody ignores chort decoction. With a whirl builds it works beautifully
Man I’m so in love with this game, I enjoyed my time with cyberpunk but idk I finished that game roughly 250hours but I’m already past 600h with the Witcher 3. I haven’t even completed the game yet, taking my time, rp’ing, no time traveling and reading the books and the lore all in the game. Loveeee it.
Also I hat mods or reshape are you using? It looks so nice!
No this game is completely vanilla, apart from Improved Sign effects.
Sword damage and decoctions, less signs, what's not to like. Well done build, stays true to the real Gerald (who doesn't use signs except Axxi to calm Roach and the occasional Aard) for a decent immersive playstyle. Who doesn't like good swordfights over spamming Yrden & Aard or Igni all the time.

I came up with something very similar, 4 decotions including troll and manticore + same weapons but I like your variation more :D
I’m glad, as I mentioned in the video this is just my opinion and there are so many different ways you can play this game. But I’m glad you liked it. :)
Awesome build ! I switched to it and I am suuuper happy :) The only thing that is a bit different is that you can't use this exact build with all its skill at lvl 20 since you need way more points to unlock all the mutations for the extra 4 slots in the middle, which makes it around lvl 60+

any tips how to progress from start to finish this build finally?

Early to mid game I would advice you to spend points in the combat tree. Regarding armors and stuff just use whatever Witcher you like, I prefer the Cat school but all of them have good stats. For swords you can use the matching ones within a school as well, don’t forget Blade from the Bits the steel sword that scales with you, it gets unlocked after finishing Hattoris quest in Novigrad. Ones you reach blood and wine and get the mutations going that’s when I would look into finalizing the build, with rune words and the alchemy abilities as well. But honestly, just play your game for now, enjoy the game make the most of it and you can focus on that a little bit later like around level 30-35.

Love this. I don't find a use for fixative if you activate "automatically apply oils" in the settings.
Could you feasibly use other armour for this build and just drop one of the decoctions so you can still use potions? I'm just not a fan of the manticore look (Drip before functionality). Or would it be better to drop potions over the 4th decoction?

Nice video, thanks for sharing! Does anyone have a build or tips for 4.0 Witcher 3 using Aard, and either Ursine armor or another winter looking armor, maybe with fur on it? Going for a winter build as it's frozen outside. Just started a new game.

Well, it's seems you have slightly overlooked something. You will need an extra 6 points in the alchemy tree to unlock all of these skills. As most of them are available late in the tree. Great video tho. Been away from the game for a while it was nice to have a refresher.

you can also choose to swap the wyvern and succubus decoction for waterhag (50% increased damage if HP/vitality is full [may be bad when fighting wolves and other really fast enemies]) and/or forktail (+50% sign/Attack depending on your sequence of attacks/Light attack, sign then strong or strong, sign then light) though if you like to spin more wyvern can be better.
Yeah I really like the Water Hag decoction and at first I thought it worked fine, but in the update Decoction Toxicity now counts towards the toxicity that can hurt you so if you are above the threshold the decoction will not work properly.
@@Glemdal oh right, i forgot about the toxicity damage that would negate waterhag since i'm running metamorphosis instead of euphoria. (has a lower damage output due to missing the toxicity percentage buff, but has access to additional potion use)

Nice build. Do you think Resolve skill, Deadly Precision or Undying could replace Muscle Memory and Strength Training? Since you are dealing mostly critical hits you care only about critical hit damage (we have already precise blows and crushing blows).
Hey, thank you! Yes Resolve is a good skill. I don’t feel like I would utilize it too much because if you spam Quen (lol) you don’t take hits that often. But it’s definitely a good shot and a swap you can make. Deadly Precision and Undying I don’t think Are that useful. That’s just my opinion but I feel like the time you get value out of those skills are way less frequent than the more consistent skills that I put in the build. Hope that clears some things up, this is just my opinion.
Can you make a short for better fps at ultra settings? Im using 6700xt and facing fps drops

Yeah maybe although I feel I need more experience in that game before I can do that. “Only” have around 150 hours in the game currently, but maybe in the future I will look into that. :)

15:14 - How to make a decoction of a succubus? Everyone in the game is not dangerous, and the Witcher code forbids killing them
Haha yeah that’s fair, if you decided to not kill any of them then you can’t craft that decoction.
get the ingredients from console command, that's the only way if you don't want to kill any of the 2 killable succubus
The one in Novigrad is pretty dangerous if you learn all the clues its obvious she's been killing guards for quite some time by sucking the life force out of them while having sex
i sit at 227 toxicity with only 2 piece manticore which allows me to pop 1 potion along with 4 decoctions, is the 3 piece manticore really necessary?
Do you need the correct oil when fighting an enemy type for hunter instinct to work?

Hey, I’m glad you enjoyed it. As far as I know no new balance changes has been added since 4.0-4.4. So everything should still be relevant. That last 4 patches were mostly bug fixes.
@Glemdal i have one more QUESTION: in CALCULATION for Alchemy = 21 point
BUT for "Protective Coating" you need 6 points, but from tier-1 you take only "Acquired Tolerance". So we need to spent 3 points for smth more from tier-1.
Same for tier-3 - you will also need to spent 3 more points to have 12.
So in general you need to spent 27 points, not 21.
Am i correct or i miss something??? ( If yes - which 2 more alchemy-talents you will recomend to take?)
What will i do with 35 lvl winters blade relic item i am now lvl 42 how will i upgrade those swords or increase damagestats

I just found that my max toxicity went up from 229 to 237 when i got to ng+ following this build. It seems that the level 40 manticore armor and trousers have their increased toxicity of +10 instead of +5 (next gen nerf) in ng+, but the boots stay the same for +5 (post next gen nerf).

With decoctions- they're 1 time use until they run out, so am I constantly farming hard to find mutagens to make them?
No, every potion/decoction/bomb/oil is a one time craft and then meditating refills them

wtf? I am using cat school gear complete set mastercrafted and I alway die when everyone swarm me, humas or monster, Level 38 and I am not touching the blood and wine yet, currently at open sesame quest, guess will search for this armor set thanks
why my non legendary manticore has 10+ toxicity points while the legendary one has 5??

Yeah, won’t make any promises but I really like the Feline Armor so it’s pretty likely.

Hard to hear on mobile. Not for the hearing impaired. I recommend making your videos louder. Keep in mind, someone can always turn the volume down, but it only gets as loud as you allow it.

Its not a build as typically ubderstood. Its quite regular Geralt development. By build its usually ment system that work automatically with god like performance

despite it’s just tweaked up to 4.00 (4.01 actually) classic manticore-euphoria build, i still liked the video. There are too much of annoying sing builds videos these days…
You need 27 points for alchemy tree
Everyone please the first play though do not play for other play for yourself. You will want to play a game plus and do the best run then. You will miss some things but you will have high repeatability.
It’s a good build, but I think metamorphosis bear build is still better. In NG+ death march I get one-shot by blunt objects with this build, sadly
I agree, what decoctions did you run on the metamorphosis build?
Very nice. But it is not the strongest build. The build that allows you to clean entire screens of enemies and one shot bosses is just every skill that buffs bombs it's so disgusting that I don't think that it should even be legal.
