FXI is extremely complicated. FXI def. can either be dominant or recessive. In addition levels have no connection to bleeding patterns. This is key as simply inhibiting FXI will have many unseen causes. Many FXI def patients bleed comparatively to severe hemophilia. As such it is a massive risk to inhibit FXI.
