People really need to understand that when it comes to Botox, it's all about the person GIVING you the botox. I have a friend who has gotten Botox for years and her results are always lovely and natural because the plastic surgeon who administers it is highly skilled. Good docs should tell you all about the time frame for results and possible side effects.Less is always best with Botox.

You honestly look SO much better with your eyes and brows lower like this. This is a really youthful look for you! If you look at young faces they do not have high eyebrow arches or lots of eyelid showing. I personally think you look great ❤️

I agree, my Doc wanted to praise about the lifted eyebrow arch look. I kept looking at her and the receptionist and couldn't stop thinking of clown faces. That high arch is not my thing. I would like more eye lid but not at the clown eyebrow sacrifice. The CO2 laser helped to lift my eyelid a bit. I do have the vertical lines on the forehead. Now this makes me afraid to do anything with those.

+Mrs Gingers Beauty Channel Yes I should of mention the first time she went into my brow line, when I saw my cosmetic surgeon he told me he would not be going into the brow line, into my 11s and a couple of spots into the top of my eyebrows. Crows feet as well. Worked well and I think it helps to find the right person and they just get to know your face. The same thing happened to my daughter, but the second go was perfect. We live and learn and when they get it right it is fabulous and worthwhile. It was hard for me to cope with at first as people wondered what was different about my face and I didn't tell any one I was having Botox. Thank you for this video I am sure it will help. Have a lovely day Tricia. xxxx

Definitely the after pic. MUCH YOUNGER. I am the same way. My eyebrows are naturally TOO high and although I don't want my eyes more hooded, since I have to choose, I choose the ironed out forehead with lowered brows and hooded eyes. It's a sucky choice to have to make, but I like the after much better.

❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing your story. It needs to be heard and made aware that negative side effects can happen with any type of injectable even if it is deemed “safe”. The first time I got Botox was my forehead and crows feet... 23 units total (not very much). I went to a very reputable doctor (done injectables for over 25+ years) and company. I had horrible headaches for 10 days and went to urgent care because they were so bad ( couldn’t work and stayed in bed... I felt like my head was being crushed) but urgent care really couldn’t do anything for me. So few cases of negative effects have been reported. They think it was an allergic reaction or triggered a migraine which I don’t have a history of ever having and I’m healthy (I take no medicine only vitamins). It is very rare to have a negative reaction to botox and it is not reversible so I had to wait it out. 😢😫 I did love the results after the headaches were gone. I was told by urgent care doctor I could have migraine like flare ups later on in the future due to what had happened.... “trama”. I need to stay away from Botox. I know there are less strong injectables out on the market that claim to have the same results as Botox like Dysport. Just because “everybody” is doing it doesn’t mean you have too try it. Do your research before getting any procedure done. ❤️❤️❤️

Your before picture made you look much older due to that Joan Crawford arching with the surprise look. the straighter brow is more youthful and current although I understand the hooding does bother you. Also it's too bad you had your eyebrows tattooed or you could have redrawn them to suit your current face better

If you look at the overall effect, it's not bad - hooded eyelids aside, the flattened browline makes you look younger. I get the botox on the horizontal lines, it does drop my brows a bit and I have to adjust my makeup - but the effect makes me look relaxed and younger. As for the doctor - he really didn't do anything wrong, per se - but you should have gone back to let him know you were not happy and could you get a refund. Customer happiness is key. I am lucky in that I go to the same person and she actually has a diagram on each customer that she marks up, showing how she did their botox. Gals, make sure to pay attention to the botox placement and have your practitioner note what they did - and note it yourself. It is an art, and people want different things. If you are not sure or you are a first timer - ask for a light botox - not many syringes, to get a feel for it first - like dipping your toes in the water!

Hello Mrs Gingers very informative video. I perform a lot of Botox injections in the States and have seen outcomes like you describe quite commonly. I have to applaud you in researching the physiology of Botox and understanding the importance of maintaining a good ratio of blockade in the depressor muscles ( the ones between the eyes commonly treating the "11" lines and the elevators of the brow ( forehead) . In your case the heavy brow isn't really noted in the pre Botox pic but clear in the after. The reason is once your forehead is done and pulling up of the brow blocked the forehead kind of hangs down with gravity and the elevation you received from blocking between the eyes isn't enough to overcome the brow depression. I think in cases like yours its best to inject the Glabellar region ( between the eyes , and of the outer edge of the eye brow for the lift you desire. If you want to have some relaxation of the forehead go very conservatively just a few units in the central region avoiding the sides just above the brow. When the brow drops it lasts for just about as long as the Botox in other regions about 3.5 months. Its important for really examine the eyelids before injecting the forehead because patients hate a drop brow worse than the lines the came in for. Great post.

I had the worse experience ever a few days ago with a plastic surgeon. I’ve had it bad one other time. It’s horrible. He used a lot more than I had ever had. The eyebrow droop not only makes me look mad and mean and weird. It’s uncomfortable. My eyebrows normally lift. It’s just something I’ve done forever. And now they keep straining to go up and it’s causing tension and headaches. This can’t wear off soon enough for me.

it comes down to anatomy and the muscle group around the eyes. I already know ill be a person who has a negative effect of the brow lift if i use botox, and thats because i have a different dominant muscle that holds the outer brows up, this muscle is the one they will inject and is supposed to stop bringing the outer brows downwards, however my muscle actually holds the brow up, my frontalis muscle which cosmetic surgeons are trained to associate with the lifting aspect, isnt a dominant muscle on my face, possibly due to a more angular type facial structure, Its best to do your own educating and resource your own information before putting faith in people who are all trained via a "one size suits all" standard.

Helpful video. How long did it take to get you brows back to normal? I had Botox for firs time only on one side for a brow lift as I had one eye brow sagging. At 2 week review they injected more units thats when it lead to eyelid ptosis, its 2 months and I still have one eye smaller than the other. Its awful ruined my Summer -I wouldn't mind if it didn't work ok money wasted but if it has complication eg eye lid ptsosi and makes you look worse thats when you really upset and there's nowhere to seek help as nothing can be done so out of pocket and worse than before! Also too many using NHS the advertising their businesses online when in actual practice these are side jobs done privately not on the NHS so I didn't see why they use that maybe to install trust and confidence. Only a doctor would know precisely where to inject and how much less units is more on sagging ageing skin compared to the run of the mill 25+ -30 yrs olds going for the 10 year top ups of Botox..after 40 it gets more complicated I feel. The market need regulating. P.S I didn't know there was a risk. My practitioner didn't offer any refund, many of them work from home they are trained, but not accountable like professional businesses. I'll never have botox again.

recently I was watching Dr. Gavin Chan videos of Botox injection, and he mentioned there are always chances of droopy eye. Those chances increase if it's done by unskilled nurse/doctor, or when product trickles into upper eyelid and those cannot be control by practitioner. Injection in to eyebrow tail normally cause droopy eyes. Also he mentions that once you start ageing, skins loosens and your eyelids drops naturally , hence brows lift to compensate of us seeing better. therefore he advises against brow lift, as none of young ppl born with lifted brows and it doesn't make you look younger. "Before botox" you look like what he calls Mr. Spock look, which botox injection gone wrong

+Gin Amber So sorry you are going through this Hun :0( I didn't mention the doctors name as I didn't want the stress - he would have no doubt responded negatively as he was arrogant, and then that would have worked me up. At the time this happened last year I had problems with high BP and was trying to make a life with as little stress as possible. I also want to maintain a reputation of being professional & honest when doing a review - I didn't end up doing a review as we had originally agreed as I told him it would be negative but the fact is that if he was in the wrong or not is a matter of opinion factually speaking (hope that makes sense). Although a lot of us agree he was wrong, there is no way of proving him, so I just wanted to move on. Hope yours fades very quickly my lovey. X

Mrs Gingers Beauty Channel Understood, that makes sense, health is the most important to us.No jokes with BP. I finally reached my botox place and went today to talk to him, he refunded me, he said that's not his fault because this is side effect that sometimes happens when he hit the nerve, he said it's gonna go away in few weeks,( I don't believe) kind of this is nerve, not a botox. But I'm happy he refunded me, he is nurse and I don't trust him anymore, I've done this one time before but with plastic surgeon, but this time I didn't want to pay that much that's why I went to a nurse, It's just my personal experience and opinion that might plastic surgeons know better, but I'm not sure. Now we just have to wait xoxo I'm glad I found your video, I was so scared that I was the only one with this problem :) Kisses from Miami

Brow lift is injecting under the outer edge of brow. You don’t want them to inject over OVER the outer edge of brow because that is the muscle that will lift. Oh my goodness. Some doctors think they are never wrong I swear. The way to control how you want it is research and do your own Botox 😉 I am actually serious, I do. And if you are a nurse you can get certified

Thanks for the honesty Karen, I personally don't like a forehead with no movement as it can emphasise any ageing in the lower face. I only noticed when you included the pictures you look great to me.
I had my 11's done 18 months ago as I have chronic pancreatitis and frown with pain, but the doctor did actually lift my eyes by default. I go to a doctor who does models and presenters here in Ireland and don't mind paying the extra.
I think I will start Retin a as I've seen good results and don't want to have a smooth forehead and ageing lower face, boo to ageing and again thanks for the warnings and in depth detail xx

I feel your pain, only it was just ONE side of my face. I had to have my hair stylist fix my eyebrows to make them look more even. Now my brows are just a hot mess! The plastic surgeon who administered it told me it was a possible risk. And he's one of the top docs in our community. I don't think it's poor technique really, I'm sure it could be, but everyone should know it's a possible side effect. He told me the Botox just relaxed/frozen the muscle soooo much that it dropped instead of lifted. I will not use Botox again for that reason.

I can completely sympathise, I've been having Botox for the past 12 years now and have always been *very* happy with the results. Just before Christmas 2014 I ended up going to see a Doctor in a different (still a very reputable place) purely because my usual lady was fully booked & I was impatient. I was left with wrinkling above one brow as it had lifted too much, then when they tried to correct it two weeks later I was left with drooping & much more prominent hooding. On top of that they were more expensive but refused to accept any liability despite their own before & after photos showing a marked difference. Like you it didn't put me off, I was not having 12 years of happy wiped out by one unfortunate incident. I have since had Botox a number of times by my usual clinic & lady and remain extremely happy with the results. I guess you have to chalk it up to experience & live and learn. You can see your Botox is wearing off and I'm sure your future experiences will be much more positive. And should you ever find yourself in Manchester I can highly recommend somewhere! x

I haven't watched your other videos yet but am curious if you have a healthy diet and lifestyle - as it seems like people are so quick to change what's on the outside, but don't think about what they are putting into their bodies by means of food and drink etc. Interesting video though, thanks for uploading.

Thanks hun - very refreshing to see a comment like this - giving your opinion but in a nice way :0) I agree, that's how the photos are posed because before botox I can lift my brows, but after in this case they were pushed down. I don't think it looks bad after either, its not the look necessarily that bothers me although I don't think I ever communicate that well - its the fact that my eyeliner transfers to the crease of my eye as does cream shadow etc - I have a joint condition called EDS and I wake up in horrendous pain, but I always distract myself with planning my eyeshadow, then doing my eyeshadow until the painkillers kick in. When my eyes are not held in place with Botox, it is just not as much fun doing my looks if that makes sense. Regarding eating - I'm a Jekyl & Hyde - I eat very healthy meals i.e. salmon & salad for lunch, a smoothie for breakfast and chicken & veg for dinner, but I eat too much as inbetween that I snack on nuts and yoghurt etc and then binge at the weekend on junk. Because of my sugar I have to eat low carb (not no carb though) and I'm also a very fussy eater, so its a struggle sometimes. I'm currently overweight and this time 3 years ago was 42 pounds lighter and I'm not very successful at losing the weight. Some of that is my condition means I can't now go to the gym as I used to, and I'd love to walk Watson (my dog) for much longer than the hour I manage. For me, I have the knowledge of what I need to do, but sometimes lack the motivation. Anyway, hope this answers some of your questions and makes you less sad about it lol. Karen x

I discussed the issue at my two-week follow-up and my dermatologist said next time he would do half as much. Frustrating, I'm not sure if that is the answer given what you've said. Hi Karen, I am soooo glad you talked about this , My Dr that does botox did not inject me right , I had another dr before her and never had a issue , I have extremely hooded eyes hence the botox so I could actually see, he use to do a great job and it would last about 6 months, my New Dr I kept having to go back over and over for touch ups , then told I was resistant to it , : NOT" then she said she was not going to do the botox on me anymore, I was like what?? you took all my $$$$ .. everyones muscles are not the same.. that is the issue , you are taught about the muscles but we are all different , you really have to find a person that knows about a brow lift, for us hoodies.. I told her if the housewives can get it so can I .. its driving me crazy.. she is great with fillers .. but botox I am going to have to find a person that can work with me

Generally I think if you want the edges of your brows to raise you need to get the Botox in a V shape on your forehead, then it doesn't lower the outer edges. I am also no expert, but that is what I was told when I get mine done.

Ugh!!! This is happening to me now. I’m pissed off…and look it!🙃 I had beautiful brow placement & ZERO forehead wrinkles so I don’t understand why the injector felt it necessary? My brows are now droopy & the upper lids rest on my eyelids-an issue that wasn’t there before! I literally have to pick up my upper lids to do my makeup & truthfully, I don’t even care to fix myself up because I feel I look awful plus it gives me weird headaches.
A red flag is that he didn’t tell me to come back in 2 weeks which I found odd. He’s a dentist that got certification in Botox but it’s evident that he doesn’t keep up with aesthetic medicine. I don’t know what to do.😢 I cry all the time because something I did to improve myself made me look worse! In my opinion, it’s an easy cash grab; he charged me $450 for 23 units to make me look odd!💰I still have 3 more months to look crazy unless it wears off faster.

It’s awful. I cry all the time. It’s been almost 2 months. Will it go away once the Botox wears off or am I stuck with this?
I am the same in that I don’t even care to put on makeup and I feel wretched. 😢

"you are going to love this, you will become sooo addicted to this". then she noticed my left brow was lower than my right and she said " I can can fix that for you, make it even with your right brow." again 1 "drop". then to my surprise she injected my "perfect" right brow also. the 11's were not effected at all. no result. the left brow "dropped" even lower and my right, perfect wrinkle free brow and eyelid is dropped and wrinkled like an 80 yr. old women. I am so distraught. on top of everything else I discovered that I was way over charged. Doesn't anyone know how to get Dysport or unwanted Botox out of our system faster by now? ! Hi Karen, I've had the same thing happened with the forehead, heavy eyelids actually sticking. it was awful. I wondered if you felt that the heavy forehead also caused extra deep wrinkles under the eyes? not crows feet but right underneath I got 2 deep creases that were never there before, giving me a more hollow look under eye. how many injection points are done under your eyes? reason I ask is my Dr just does one at the outer corner and one directly under the eye (which I hate) on other videos here I see Drs doing usually 3 point at the side crows feet area. I wondered if my Dr was just skimping.
really hard to find a good Botox Dr. unless you're really rich.
after my horrid heavy eyes wore off next time I just had my 11s done to avoid depressed lids and that was sufficient. good video ☺
