It really is a shame that you never continued this series. You did a phenomenal job narrating the storyline of the flame seeker prophecy. It would be exciting to see you finish the Canthan storyline in such a manner. I feel that a lot of people who haven’t or don’t have the opportunity to play though the first series games, would appreciate and enjoy a recount of these pieces.

I'm new to Guild Wars lore, so this series helped a ton in understanding the significance of certain characters, environments and the overrall plot of these games. As a fellow writer, I might relate as to why this series wasn't completed. Procrastination and the feeling of pressure for a set of standards you've set for yourself ends up killing projects, lest you strike while the is creativity is in a fervor. If not, then time creates space and space is a chill graveyard where your ideas orbit in solitude, twinkling at you from a distance until they are lost to a black oblivion. Whether you decide to let this one go or not, thank you for the work you have done so far. I very much enjoyed what you have put together.
This is the reason why i play Gw2 they earn a customer through your work WP! they oughta give you HoT early and really need to consider how they can make Lore like this as engaging as you have yo real shit, this is my like 20th watch this needs sooo many more views
Currently playing Guild Wars 2. You sir are absolutely talented, I have never heard such great story telling in my life. Please do continue, for I am drawn in to such a adventure.
My youngest Son started playing Guild Wars before he started High School, and became quite addicted to the game and stories. I never really understood why he was so fascinated by the game and always tried to steer him away from the computer and outside. When he left to go to college, I thought I could stay in touch with him by playing the original GW, and GW2 with him, which had been released a few months before he moved away. Now, 8 years later, I'm the one who still plays GW2, while he has moved on to other games. I never installed, or played the original GW game and all of the expansions I purchased, and I can't believe that I didn't search out these earlier videos of your sooner, and I'm greatly surprised and pleased at the great care and the effort you put into creating this content. It's fantastic, and I hope that you someday get back to finishing this series. I'm really looking forward to seeing Cantha in GW2 after watching this series of Lore videos. This series of videos makes me want to find my boxes of the original Guild Wars and install and play them. I wonder if there are any other players of GW2 thinking the same thing, and maybe I won't be alone on those old game servers, as I play though the story, and try to obtain all of my GW2 Hall of Monuments achievements? Thanks again WP for this series, and I do hope you will get back to finishing this series, it really is great.
My best friend and I had just picked up playing Guild Wars 2 a month ago and we haven't stopped since. We both went through the story together and we've become completely invested in the lore. He had showed me your videos just today and I watched through all of the lore videos in this playlist in one sitting, and I must say, your story telling is second to none. These videos alone have made me want to delve much deeper into the lore of this game, although I'm a little disheartened that this was the last video of this series in over 2 years. I sincerely hope you begin making these videos again as I'm incredibly interested in connecting the pieces to the rest of the lore. I'm listening to this now as I have just gotten into GW2 post End of Dragons initial release. With Season 1 being added back to the game it seemed like the perfect time to envelop myself in the world and story of GW2 so I thought I would get the story of the first game to get the full story across all of these years. I didn't realize how long ago you made these videos until you mentioned the plan to never add Cantha, which shocked me for obvious reasons. Glad to see that even if it was 9 years later, they brought the fans what they wanted, and I'm excited to see the story I've missed turn out. Thanks for all of your videos, I've been watching so many of them recently, definitely my favorite GW2 content creator. Keep up the good work.

i think i watched almost every GW related video you produced. This is defintly one of my favourites. You and all the artists involved did an amazing job! I still hope we will go back to Cantha at some point in the future. Factions is still near and dear to my heart - a great videogame as the whole series is!
This is my favorite video so far. The production quality has vastly improved (not that it was low, but now it's gone through the roof) and learning this stuff really makes me go to Seattle to scream "We want Cantha!". Keep it up.
Wow man, just...wow! It took me a few moments to gather myself and find some words. This was just amazing! A brilliant portrayal of an excellent story which would impress any person that hasn't played Factions, but as someone who's experienced the whole storyline, this video left me almost breathlessly in awe. So in 2020 they finally announced Cantha (Well, sort of), so I decided to search for and watch this video, as I always thought I'd save this for the Cantha expac. Now I found myself SO IN LOVE with this story and this video! The part from the characters finding the demon to the last is just SO good, the music kicks in at the prefect time, your voice changed a little just at the right moment, and those three artworks showing Shiro's sudden appear and him killing everyone can only add to the pile. I went to search for all the official concept art for Shiro in Gw1 and Gw2, and I can honestly say, in my heart none of them can match these three, he just looks SO badass here! It even drove me to watch your original Faction Playthrough again, and I must say, compared to this video that only used two artwork and your voice to describe that cinematic killing moment, the Gw1 cutscene they'd made, just like what you'd said in that original Playthrough, is just TOO BAD. I can even wholeheartedly say I've never seen a cutscene in Gw1 or 2 that can match the last part of this video, it's just this good. Anyway just some random thoughts and screams after the first time I've watch this, also to show that people still watch and love these old videos ;D Wish you well in these days, hope all the best for you. Also a random question: the music which kicks in at the part when the heros fight the demon and, well, get slaughtered by Shiro, does that piece of music come from the Faction OST? I recently started watching your videos since I just started investing my time into GW2. Having never played GW1 I am curious about the lore behind tyria. Your videos have been addicting! I've been consuming them non-stop and was looking forward to this particular video since the first things I watched were the ones in this series. Absolutely touching! The amount of nostalgia I get from these videos is incredible. Cantha definitely needs to be brought back to Guild Wars 2 I would love to see how the Echovald Forest and Jade Sea have changed over time as well as the city itself. Great job as always Wooden Potatoes.
First of all. HURRAY!! Lore is back!! Okay, now that I got that out of my system, It is a personal opinion of mine that when you are at your best when telling lore. I get absolutely engrossed with your voice when you tell story. Since I'm already jumping on bandwagons here I would also love to announce my support for the re-introduction of Cantha. One of my best memories was listening to Summertime by Kenny Chesney while exploring the tougher parts of the Jade Sea.
You really need to continue this series, it is truly amazing and is one of the best story series i have ever seen. It would be really nice if you could finish Cantha and also make one for Eye of the North. This could be something for you to do while waiting for the GW2 Expansion and to be honest we all know that GW1 had far better story.

This was amazingly well done, and your artist did a fantastic job. Although I played through Factions in Guild Wars, it was sometimes difficult to piece little things together without much reading. This series makes the lore more accessible to everyone, including new Guild Wars 2 players, which is important. I hope you plan to do more videos like this in the future!

You've mentioned before that you wanted to do something different to ensure you keep getting views, and seriously, even if you only stick with this series and the GW2 mystery series, you will succeed. Keep doing what you're doing. Also, you get double points because this series is about Cantha, my personal favourite of the three regions.

I didnt have to watch this video to want Cantha back. I love that place in gw, and I really want it back to gw2 more than anything else. But really great video! You explain it so well I actually started to see how it all works together. I played this in the game and never really understood the lore in Cantha but this made me understand so much more! I wanna check the music but couldn't quite find it, so wondering if it's not from there or I had just not discover it :D
I recently started watching your videos since I just started investing my time into GW2. Having never played GW1 I am curious about the lore behind tyria. Your videos have been addicting! I've been consuming them non-stop and was looking forward to this particular video since the first things I watched were the ones in this series. I now see why it took so long to make, it is outstanding sir! I can't wait until you release the next chapter, you've set a high bar for yourself! Also i want Cantha!

As always, great job on the Lore video WP. And the artist aswell. He brought out the GW2 concept art "feel" in a GW1 enviroment! This is the best one yet in the Lore series!

Here after End of Dragons reveal. Man, I know that you propably are entangled with other projects but I would KILL for this series to be completed. Even in current day and age, just to remind myself of past lore that help me appreciate new material more.

Absolutely touching! The amount of nostalgia I get from these videos is incredible. Cantha definitely needs to be brought back to Guild Wars 2 I would love to see how the Echovald Forest and Jade Sea have changed over time as well as the city itself.

First of all. HURRAY!! Lore is back!! Okay, now that I got that out of my system, It is a personal opinion of mine that when you are at your best when telling lore. I get absolutely engrossed with your voice when you tell story. Since I'm already jumping on bandwagons here I would also love to announce my support for the re-introduction of Cantha. One of my best memories was listening to Summertime by Kenny Chesney while exploring the tougher parts of the Jade Sea.

You really need to continue this series, it is truly amazing and is one of the best story series i have ever seen. It would be really nice if you could finish Cantha and also make one for Eye of the North.
This could be something for you to do while waiting for the GW2 Expansion and to be honest we all know that GW1 had far better story.

This was amazingly well done, and your artist did a fantastic job. Although I played through Factions in Guild Wars, it was sometimes difficult to piece little things together without much reading. This series makes the lore more accessible to everyone, including new Guild Wars 2 players, which is important. I hope you plan to do more videos like this in the future!

These videos are absolutely amazing and only get better and better. I sincerely hope that you continue these. As a hardcore GW1 fan/follower these lore videos bring everything back to me and I agree that the Guild Wars universe wouldn't be the same or as good if Factions wasn't included into it.
