This episode just showed how much Lucifer has grown, we got to see that Linda isn't just his therapist but his friend, he showed how concerned he was that he thought he had hurt her and that he may have lost Linda as both friend and therapist. As for the season starting slowly trust me it makes up for it so be ready for one hell of a ride as the season goes on.
Lucifer was at rock bottom last episode, and Chloe is most distressed this episode. 12:35 It is at this moment, they pull each other up, and toward each other.
Thank you SO much for another amazing reaction! I just LOVE this episode, and seeing you laugh, get emotional, and just generally being invested and having fun was great. Linda finally being made to realize that Maze and Lucifer haven't really changed, and giving Maze the chance to buy her a drink and celebrate her new job is just adorable, and I am SO happy to see their friendship getting back on track. Lucifer having that amazing moment with Chloe, and not really understanding why she is crying, or that it isn't always a bad thing if someone cries because of something you said, is just so cute and sweet, and Deckerstar is just one of my favorite ships of all time ❤🧡❤
great reaction to a great ep that had some satisfying performances: Linda trying to come to grips with the magnitude of the reveal, Maze's concerted efforts to keep her friend, and finding work that she loves... I agree that the scene when Chloe confronted her father's killer and Maze's glee (over Chloe's shoulder) at the torment going on was well done.... and seeing Maze in that maid outfit..... cherry on top... great stuff as always, D! keep em coming!
The scriptwriters missed an opportunity in this episode. When the warden offered "anything you want" she should have used Inigo Montoya's line from Princess Bride _"I want my father back you ......"_
You shouldn't feel bad for the guy who was in prison for sixteen years. Even though he didn't pull the trigger on her dad he's still complicit because he knew he was going to be paid to allow himself to be framed for murder. That's called "Conspiracy to Commit Murder" and carries the same type of sentence as someone pulling the trigger on a pre-meditated murder. The only thing he might not have known was that the victim was going to be a cop.
Lucifers character in the show is perfectly summed up by the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" he really does have a lot of good intentions and most often tries to do the right thing, it just normally ends up backfiring on him, which is why he thinks his whole life is a cruel joke by his dad for the rebellion
My Little Monkey- Thank you so much for another great reaction!! I really love this episode a lot too!! It's a lot of fun, especially because we get some great insight into Chloe's life as we learn how Chloe's father died and see Chloe investigate who killed him. I also love Lucifer's and Dan's storyline as they work together to investigate who murdered Chloe's father's supposed killer and gain a stronger understanding of one another. I'm not so sure they would consider themselves friends just yet, but they aren't enemies anymore either. But first... I didn't mention in my comments for the last episode, that I really enjoyed Maze's and Trixie's storyline as they go tick 'or treating together, and seeing Maze show her demon face to Trixie, who actually thought it was cool. While Trixie doesn't know that Maze really is a demon and that Lucifer really is the Devil, I suspect that she would still be okay with them, given that children are more understanding. Besides, she really cares about Maze and Lucifer, and she knows they're good in spite of what they are. Now... I also really enjoy Maze's overall storyline throughout this episode as well, as she seeks Linda's help upon realizing she's longing to find a new sense of purpose now that she no longer works for Lucifer at LUX as his bartender or as his protector. However, Linda is still reeling from Lucifer's revelation that he's the Devil. And because she now knows the truth about him, she's come to realize that Maze is also a demon just like Lucifer has told her during their sessions as well. Poor Linda is terrified, and it's most certainly understandable. I just love how Maze does all she can to try to convince Linda that she and Lucifer won't ever hurt her because she wants Linda to remain her friend, especially since Linda is her only real friend, aside from Lucifer, Chloe, and Trixie. In in the end, Maze finally gets through to Linda when she assures her that she and Lucifer are still who they've always been... her friends. I love it! :) But with that being said... I don't like how Maze is so angry with Lucifer for revealing the truth about them to Linda. Linda asked Lucifer for 100% honesty and that he no longer speak to her in what she still believes to be his metaphors. And as difficult as it was for Lucifer to reveal his monster side to her, he did so because a part of him really needed someone to be able to understand what he's feeling in order to talk through his pain. Maze treats Lucifer like he scared and hurt Linda on purpose, and that's so wrong. I appreciate her standing up for Linda and wanting to protect her from what she sees to be Lucifer's recklessness, or disregard for others' feelings. However, Lucifer was as gentle about showing his true face as he possibly could be, in spite of his reluctance with revealing himself to Linda like she demanded he do if he had any of continuing her sessions with her and of remaining her friend. So to me... Maze is wrong to get angry with Lucifer. At least in the way that she had, without trying to understand why he did as he did. As for my favorite moments throughout this episode... I love, love, love the ending between Chloe, Lucifer, and Trixie when Chloe is making them egg sandwiches, then Trixie says goodbye to Lucifer as she attempts to hug him until he backs way uncomfortably, after which she quickly gives him a high five instead before running off. So cute! But more so... I love the beautiful moment between Lucifer and Chloe, as he begins sharing how he doesn't care much for his own father, then offers her peace of mind when he tells her that her father would be proud of her for all she's done to become who she's become. And in doing so, Chloe becomes emotional as she begins to cry. When she does, I love how Lucifer immediately apologizes to her out of worry, fearing that he's hurt her like he's hurt everyone else he's hurt lately too. However, Chloe simply looks up at him with gratitude and admiration for him in her eyes as she tells him to just shut up and then hugs him to get him to hold her close to him. So, so beautiful!! I love Lucifer's inability to understand why she's touched by his kindness. I absolutely love this moment between them, because it shows just how much he has come to care about Chloe, and how much she's come to care for him as well. Phenomenal!! :) As for my other favorite moment... I love the bonding moment between Lucifer and Dan when Lucifer discovers the secret Dan's been keeping from everyone, as he follows Dan to his improv class and catches Dan impersonating him to try to work out his anger towards Lucifer's actions in impersonating and making fun of him over the course of the last few days. This is really the first time we see them develop more into friends than simply two men always at odds with one another on account of their relationships with Chloe. This scene between them is very funny. And I love that they've come to an understanding between one another, and even laugh with one another too. Now... seeing Lucifer become Dan all throughout this episode in order to try to understand how to be someone other than himself because he believes himself to be a monster who hurts everyone he cares about, and then seeing Dan try to impersonate Lucifer in the end as well, is pretty funny. It's a little cringey, but in a good way that makes this episode very funny. However, I also love that through impersonating Dan and upon seeing Dan impersonate him, Lucifer is able to find a little peace of mind after having to kill his brother, and hurting Dan, Linda, and Chloe as well upon being somewhat oblivious to her feelings during this extremely difficult time for her. And you can see in the end that he has learned the lesson he needed to and found some peace, when he returns to Chloe's home after becoming himself again.
As for the main storyline with Chloe seeking justice for her father in search of his real killer... I really love it. I can only imagine how painful it must be for Chloe to learn after all these years, that the man she believed to have killed her father was really innocent, or at least that he didn't actually have anything to do with his death after all when his real killer has been free all this time. But I love how Dan and Ella are so kind and gentle with her as they help her on the case, then later seeing Lucifer and Maze become more involved and helpful to her as well. And I love that they're the ones who allow Chloe to find justice for her father when they finally catch the warden in the end. I also love how Chloe talks Lucifer out of his funk when he's stuck in his mind while hating himself for hurting everyone, when she tells him she needs her partner back. I agree with you that Lucifer most definitely needed to hear someone, especially Chloe, tell him that she needs him, and wants him as her friend and partner, not for him to be someone else. Because Lucifer now knows without a doubt that Chloe appreciates him and having him just for who he himself is. Then... Lucifer plays the "Me's" advocate, or the Devil's advocate, which is just so Lucifer to put himself into the common phrase, and thanks to Lucifer, Chloe is able to figure out that the warden is her father's true killer. Really brilliant! And lastly... another of my favorite moments is when Lucifer and Dan go to meet the hired killer in order to find out who it was who hired him to kill Chloe's father, as Lucifer plays the role of someone who seeks the killer out by claiming to want him to kill the monster he sees himself as... to kill Lucifer Morningstar, as he's still acting as someone else. You really see the hatred Lucifer has for himself in his eyes and you can hear it in his voice as he's talking so coldly. It's so sad and I feel so badly for him. But I love it! Sensational acting from Tom Ellis once again, just like always. I love how we see Lucifer still struggling with his brother's death throughout this episode, and how we come to see how much Lucifer wishes he could be someone else who isn't the monster he sees himself as. Brilliant character development! :) Overall... this is a really good episode. I just love seeing all the friendships, as well as all of the emotions involved within Chloe's storyline, as well as Lucifer's storyline as well. And seeing Lucifer not only impersonate Dan, but also seeing him dress as Dan with his hair even parted like Dan's... hilarious! So thank you once again for another fun reaction, Dakara!!! Until next time...

I disagree. Legal restrictions create black markets but raise prices. When working at a gun shop in SC in the '90s we were informed by law enforcement that a group of customers was buying firearms and selling them at a big markup off the books in NY. Potential victims there weren't allowed to be armed to defend themselves but criminals were willing to pay extra to obtain the tools of their trade.
Dan helping Lucifer deal with his emotions--who saw that coming!? (And, of course, now the Douchifer ship is launched, even if it doesn't have many supporters. Those douche-abs! Who knew!?) :D Minor point: you keep saying "true face", but the show always calls it his "devil face", and there's no indication that it's any _more_ "true" than the one he wears normally. Remember, he's an angel, and all his siblings we've seen have human faces. Also, when he went to hell in 1x13, his appearance didn't change. I can't say more without spoilers, so let's just say you shouldn't make assumptions.
Supernatural is not emotional. I've never understood why people like it. They kill off every love interest. I guess Lucifer did start out light hearted, it definitely didn't stay that way

@Nehemiah Scudder No one defends that right, because it isn’t one. You think we’re allowed to randomly open fire in public? Is the extent of your understanding of America’s relationship to firearms solely via John Wick? Your incredulity isn’t an argument, and neither is your little factoid at the end. I made a comment about a fascinating difference between the cultures of two places. If you want to argue, then make an argument. If you want to throw out suggestive factoids and openly false characterizations of our laws, you can just stop talking, because you’re clearly not a serious person interested in an honest, productive conversation.
This is where the show went bad for me. "I didn't kill that cop" he said. And later Chloe finds out the tape was made before the time of the murder he's talking about. You don't talk about something that happenend like that before it happens.
Um . . . It was a set up. He was hired to take the fall for the murder. Everyone involved knew it was about to happen. He already knew what he was being hired to take the fall for regardless of it not yet happening. Same way Lucifer and Dan went to ask that guy to find someone to take the fall for murdering 'Lucifer'. They specifically asked for details of who was getting killed to properly prep whoever they hired to take the fall even though the murder hadn't been committed yet. It is perfectly logical and understandable.
I watched the whole video and am scratching my head at your comment. If you are referring to her ONE sentence about guns being prolific, you need help.

Um . .
