I love how absolutely thrilled and downright bubbly he is when discussing this pedal. Gregor is down-to-Earth, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and always makes these videos worth watching. Right on.
This is so awesome! I used the Plumes on bass and I loved the sound but sold it because it sucked a little too much bass out. I'm gonna have to get this now. Thanks for the video Gregor!
Mine is already on its way and I’m pretty sure the neighbors are going to listen to it when it gets here! I’m already the proud owner of a Plumes which I bought on impulse with no regrets and, although it is NOT a bass pedal, it KICKS SSS on bass. I can’t wait to hear them both together with my bass. I don’t own a guitar. 🎉
I had a Plumes but got rid of it because it sucked too much low end, got a Darkglass B3K but didn't really care for it. Recently got the surprisingly cheap (price wise) Joyo Double Thruster and it absolutely rocks, has a blend knob and an incredible range of tones, highly recommend
Sounds awesome and the best, whats really surprises me: it doesn't cost as much as most Earthquaker Devices pedals do, it's already affordable 😱 Maybe I'll really get my first EQD pedal 😱😍
Near perfect pedals could justify getting a line selector for? I run an eqd palisades in a microbass2 which has mixable effects loop, same idea. No loss in lows
Just got mine today, but can't seem to get a decent tone out of it. It sounds kinda fizzy somehow, it's not as clean as in your video and most others. Any suggestion?
I love the channel and I love Gregor and the rest of the crew. But on this one... I own a Blumes. I really, really wanted to love it (after all, I paid for it) but I...don't. Maybe if it had some EQ controls or a blend knob... Every couple of weeks I plug it back in to give it another try, but end up not liking it. I don't think they bass-ified it quite enough.
I was looking through my local marketplace for pedals a few days ago and I've noticed the Blumes. I have the Plumes, so initially I thought some local clone maker made a shameless ripoff and only changed the colors and one letter. Thinking that it was kind of smart, I have to give them that, I went on TH-cam to see if there are any sound demos to see how it compares to the real thing. Imagine my surprise when I noticed a video from the official EQD channel on it. Of course I've ordered it immediately after watching the video, because this thing sounds sick. I should get it tomorrow or the day after.
No blend :( missing a big feature imo. Also, i mainly clicked for the cool JM looking bass in the thumbnail, but its not actually in the video what is it:(
No idea how anyone would design such a (great sounding) pedal for bass without the option to blend in the clean tone. Lovely in a studio situation, sure thing, but swallowed in any band context.

❤️ thanks!
Sales people love you. Wanna buy a bridge? I’m all smiles and thrilled to ask!
"This guy."...you rock, Gregor 😎
The young lady is a fabulous player as well 🎸🔥😊
This is so awesome! I used the Plumes on bass and I loved the sound but sold it because it sucked a little too much bass out. I'm gonna have to get this now. Thanks for the video Gregor!
I did the same, i got a darkglass vintage micro tube and never looked back

Everyone and their mums! 🤘💚 Grats for the sounds!
Sounds so much warmer and more organic than any Darkglass I've ever heard.

Isn't the double thruster basically a B3K tho? Could you explain the differences you noticed?
I felt it had a wider range of tone variation than the B3K

Thanks for the impression
So glad they made this pedal not limited edition.
I have the Blumes but, i wish it had a blend knob. I split my signal so only my mids get affected by this. Otherwise, it's just okay.
Earthquaker Devices made a bass pedal?!? I'm here for it!
Now you have to try the zoar!
Such sweet tones ❤❤❤❤
Sadly it has no blend knob than it would be nearly perfect and could be really a "new standard pedal" on boards. Sounds great and versatile.

Boss odb3
I think mode 1 is my favorite. Great for solos! It's good looking too! What setting did you like the best?
Mode 2 for me all day. This could easily become an always on thing if the gain isn’t too high
Why is it a different bass in the chapter stills to what is in the actual video?
And it only $99. I have to get one asap before they go to $300
Just got mine today, but can't seem to get a decent tone out of it. It sounds kinda fizzy somehow, it's not as clean as in your video and most others. Any suggestion?
What bass are you using?
@basstheworldofficial a Fender style lutherie active bass with Delano pickups (jazz style on the neck and hambucker style on the bridge)
try lowering the output volume. The bass might be too loud
I'll try, thanks. Another question: did you put your pedale in front of the amp or into the send return for this video? Thanks.
in front of the amp
This might be the replacement for a big muff. Might take some time before many people realized the greatness of this pedal.
Gregor. Would love an episode on the SWR Mo'Bass we see in the background.
Cool, what bass is that?
@@fibonacho thanks!
Any time some mentions asymmetrical clipping.... just think tubescreamer or similar.
Close! A Tubescreamer is symmetrical, but the Boss SD-1 is asymmetrical!
I'll stick with my Green Rhino MkII, best overdrive for bass IMO!
Nice!
Almost fuzz is with reasonable certainty a fuzz
I wonder what is the principal difference between P and B🤔
Say what you will but Sophie has a superb bass face! When are these Bass Face \w Sophie shirts coming and where can I preorder one?

Sweetwater link isn’t active.
Thx. Fixed it!

So awesome yo have Sophie on the show, ... uhm 🤔 ... pedal, ... what was that all about?
No blend :( missing a big feature imo. Also, i mainly clicked for the cool JM looking bass in the thumbnail, but its not actually in the video what is it:(
video comes out next tuesday
I think the level is the blend.
@@nsturge11Nope. It has no blend. The Level knop is just a level knop and does not effect the mix between the clean signal and the dirt signal.
@@zulu5157 that makes sense. Not sure why any bass pedal would come without a blend nowadays.
@@nsturge11 Because it is designed without the low cut of the original plumes. No need for a blend in that situation
There needs to be more pedals for Fretless players. I know there are lots but there should be more. Most Compressors are for slap men. Whinge over.
No idea how anyone would design such a (great sounding) pedal for bass without the option to blend in the clean tone. Lovely in a studio situation, sure thing, but swallowed in any band context.
I won’t be buying the pedal, but as always I enjoyed Gregor and his reviews.
Mode 3 sounds like wet farts.
nice troll! whens the vid for the red bass in the thumbnail?
Tuesday!
Sounds not to my taste. Little like the solidgold bit without the magic
Not really a cut through the mix pedal, more of a “I am the mix” pedal
Glad i didn't buy plumes yet! awesome!
is Sophie French ?
are bears catholic? does the pope shit in the woods?
some of her ancestors are but she's German
you looked a little different in that first demo
Another distortion pedal among thousand
Animals Pedals Surfing Polar Bear bass OD.
Needs a blend knob? No? Still only for high-end peeps 😢
Sophie is much cuter than Itt.
Where is your father?
It's his French sister this time?
@@Tenokenshe’s German but sure, her bass face also stands out!
Sophie is bae.
