My father, The always musically curious non professional jazz musician was working for Diners Club, a credit card co. at JFK airport 60 years ago this week. He watched those guys get off the plane with all the kids. He woke me to watch the 2nd Ed Sullivan set 2/9/64. I’ve never been the same. I’ve been a bit of an audio nut my whole life. I’ve been a Beatles nut, I met all 4 in NYC in the 70’s, since then. I bought the MFSL masters in 1982. I have 2 sets. She Loves You has seen many reincarnations throughout the years and I am very picky about which version I prefer. I didn’t really care for Giles’ remix as I prefer the Capitol Years version. Plus if the “pride” edit is noticeable, why? This version is outstanding.

He’s crossed the line many times. Why not just clean up the front on the LOVE mix of Walrus? What I find, when it comes to Giles remixes, or any music, for those with discerning ears, cherry picking is always required.
The drums are really good. The snare was solid and above all, the kick drum could be heard clearly, making it extremely powerful. By reducing the volume of the hi-hat a little, the overall balance of the drums became much better. The separation between John and George's guitars is amazing, and this mix is the best of any I've ever heard.Thank You!!!!!

I was suprised how quick i got a warning as the song was on an old bootleg & not in the best quality. I got them at a surplus type store for $34 and saw that they were going for around $100 online. I was happy and they have turned out to be very good. I'd like to hear a mix like the early 60's, with vocals on the right channel and performance on the left channel. (Like From Me to You at the time, for example)
Sounds a bit strange to my ears... especially the vocals. Personally, I don't think overlapping vocals of two different recordings of the same song works, especially since they're postitioned in different spots in the mix, not layered on top of each other. I originally thought you were going for a "simulated stereo" sort of sound. It sounds like a chorus. Very distracting and noticable. It sounds especially bad at 1:05. It's out of sync! It needs to be tight, perfectly in sync. There's no way you can perfectly line up the vocals of two different recordings unless they singers are intentionally overdubbing them while listening back to one of the recordings, like they did with Because on Abbey Road. But Because is actually supposed to sound like a chorus, unlike this song. Honestly I'd rather listen to the 2023 mix, despite its terribly distorted sound. At least the instruments have better separation there and I can hear them more clearly, especially the guitars. I think most people in the comments here are mistaking this mix being louder and less distorted for it really being better. And I know you disagree, but I also think it's misleading to call this a remix, and that it's disingenuous to simply choose the definition of remix that you want to use rather than clarifying what you mean by "remix," because of the inherent ambiguity of the word. Someone else in the comments said it would be better to call these "enhanced remixes," and I agree with that.
I have a two-track mix of She Loves You (no "augmentation") that fits in with the two-track "stereo" Please Please Me album available at the time. Yes, it has vocals to one side and instruments to the other, but that's how it was done when you had a two-track mono tape deck. It sounds great too!
I have that mix in my music collection as well, but the technology has improved massively since that was made. I wanted a version with stereo vocals spread across the sound stage, so I made this new mix !
It’s such a busy mix for such a simple song. There’s double tracking EVERYWHERE and what sounds to be (maybe?) pitch and key changes. Did you use a non-Beatles recording of the song to help you? Maybe it’s all the alterations in the remix but either there’s stuff in here that isn’t original or so messed with it has lost its integrity. It’s still fun to listen to.

I got them at a surplus type store for $34 and saw that they were going for around $100 online. I was happy and they have turned out to be very good. I took a friend there to have a look at them and he bought the last pair they had. He's happy too. Can you imagine a happy couple of Canadians dancing around with their cordless headphones on? I'd like to hear a mix like the early 60's, with vocals on the right channel and performance on the left channel. (Like From Me to You at the time, for example)
Sounds a bit strange to my ears... especially the vocals. Personally, I don't think overlapping vocals of two different recordings of the same song works, especially since they're postitioned in different spots in the mix, not layered on top of each other. I originally thought you were going for a "simulated stereo" sort of sound. It sounds like a chorus. Very distracting and noticable. It sounds especially bad at 1:05. It's out of sync! It needs to be tight, perfectly in sync. There's no way you can perfectly line up the vocals of two different recordings unless they singers are intentionally overdubbing them while listening back to one of the recordings, like they did with Because on Abbey Road. But Because is actually supposed to sound like a chorus, unlike this song. Honestly I'd rather listen to the 2023 mix, despite its terribly distorted sound. At least the instruments have better separation there and I can hear them more clearly, especially the guitars. I think most people in the comments here are mistaking this mix being louder and less distorted for it really being better. And I know you disagree, but I also think it's misleading to call this a remix, and that it's disingenuous to simply choose the definition of remix that you want to use rather than clarifying what you mean by "remix," because of the inherent ambiguity of the word. Someone else in the comments said it would be better to call these "enhanced remixes," and I agree with that.
I have a two-track mix of She Loves You (no "augmentation") that fits in with the two-track "stereo" Please Please Me album available at the time. Yes, it has vocals to one side and instruments to the other, but that's how it was done when you had a two-track mono tape deck. It sounds great too!
I have that mix in my music collection as well, but the technology has improved massively since that was made. I wanted a version with stereo vocals spread across the sound stage, so I made this new mix !

It’s such a busy mix for such a simple song. There’s double tracking EVERYWHERE and what sounds to be (maybe?) pitch and key changes. Did you use a non-Beatles recording of the song to help you?
Maybe it’s all the alterations in the remix but either there’s stuff in here that isn’t original or so messed with it has lost its integrity. It’s still fun to listen to.
It's a mashup of the studio version and a live version. Just a bit of fun.
