Still remember the show near Mayberry NC. Little club and we were the few that were there. Ended up hanging backstage. No groupies, just a bunch of bored musicians happy to get blazed with us. This was before they were doing big shows. Early Spine of God tour. Great guys! Still love you guys MM!!!!
@Basik I know. It's actually Mt. Airy but everyone I've met from there calls it Mayberry. Plus, I was totally wrong even about Mt Airy. It was a show in Winston Salem. The 90's are a bit of a blur these days.
Being from western NC in the void, that is awesome. I saw a band named Temptor from Morganton who played covers of Alice In Chains and Slayer, and was blown away. For you to actually see MM is fantastic!!
I was there and it was a great concert day. First and foremost I remember: I was newly in love and it was a very rocking day. Headbanging at what feels like 35 degrees to Monster Magnat, Kyuss, Paradise Lost and Clawfinger and others.

Befor Monster Magnet and befor youtube life really sucked thank you youtube and Monster Magnet for making me cool as I'm listening to Monster Magnet and watching youtube the last 20 years everyday
Winnipeg May 1995. Fu Man Chu opens for Monster Magnet. A little basement bar named Ozzies in Osborne Village. Epic. I measure all bands to that concert. This video is great! Brings me back. They did all these tunes.
This summer I had a girlfriend and asked her, if she would come with me to a Monster Magnet-Gig. Her answer: „I already saw them, they are not cool anymore“ Looking back I think that was the beginning of our end… 😂
Monster Magnet all you guys in Monster Magnet each of 6ou guys in Monster Magnet is my hero you guys has been my hero since the 80s huh Monster Magnet.
Help please!!! For 20 years I try to find the BEST rock concert I've ever seen! Monster Magnet concert!!! - Burned and crushed guitar to Boomer song, - naked girls dansing to Spacelord, - Dave in flame-panted pants - tracks from Powertrip album. Thank a lot for any information! Regards for all Monter fans!
The front man for this group reminds me a little of the coolest front man in rock n roll...John Kay from Steppenwolf who was cooler than even Jim Morrison.
Why was I so into MM in the early 90’s. Umm Because they fucking rock! My best friend James and I were super into this. He was killed almost 10 years ago. 😭
