So many of these big cutter videos leave a lot of waste on the outside edge of the cutter. Phenomenal efficiency on a huge work area. #deere 🚜

That 4630 brings back memories when i was 7or 8 i was driving one that had a blade on the front with duals and a 8 speed power shift around the sawmill lol
Good luck in your search. Outside of the standard things to look at (like the gearboxes), be sure to lower both wings and make sure they’re parallel to the ground. The bush hogs are big and heavy which puts a lot of stress into it when you bump into something solid (like a tree). One with a tweak will cut, but it won’t be as perfect as you might like.
Gotta fix that puppy. Find your local dealer and order a new blade. I'd soak those blade bolts with penetrating fluid like PB Blaster to make the job easier - and I wouldn't operate a bush hog like mine with a broken blade - the balance will be totally off. I'd be afraid that I'd destroy a gearbox. You should be able to find a video addressing how to change the blade on the model that you have. I make a practice of owning a repair manual and a parts manual for each piece of equipment that I own.
I have a small collection of blades and I'll drop the used blades and install a sharpened blade every year. Having a few extras allows me to have them sharpened at my leisure. I figure it's worth having sharp blades... you should get a decent cut if you're going to spend the dollars on high priced fuel.
I do leave the controls in the float position and have been happy with the results. Personal opinions here - I like Bush Hog and Rhino and have had good experiences with both. IMO the John Deere cutters seem light (I've never cut with one and I might have a different impression if I looked at one of the HX series).
It all depends on what you are used to operating! Now I’m a John Deere man but Farmall are really good tractors especially the M And the H and super MTA
@@rudycarlson8245 i have a farmall 450 which is essentially the final form of the i4 gasoline tractor line. has a fast hitch, t/a, and more horse power. i have an mw power piston kit installed and im get 71hp at the max out of the engine when doing a pto dyno test
@@rudycarlson8245 mostly, got a new front anchor bell for the fast hitch because it was cracked need a new alternator, spark plugs, spark plug wires, needed a new fast hitch draw bar because the one that came with it was severely bent. rebuilt a teldepth rod piston for the fast hitch so i can plow more consistently with a #311 fast hitch plow. i still ned to get new rear rim because the original rims are starting to be completely rusted out due tot he calcium ballast. I probably will need to get a new hydraulic pump in it or rebuild it because it does have a high enough hydralic pressure and i need to put a new valve cover gasket in because it's leaking quite a bit of oil from there other than that it's mostly done and operatable and the t/a is very strong in this tractor. it was used on a horse farm since it was new in Illinois before i got it shipped to Pennsylvania, 1 owner and still has the original 2nd coat of paint on it from 1968. and it was sitting in a barn since 1972.

Nice rig!! Ive got a 4850 and going to look at a couple of 20 footers this weekend. Either the John Deere CX20/HX20 or the Bushhog 2720.
