Wonderful topic. I found it intriguing , hearing men talk about forgiveness. This is the first time that I've had the opportunity to hear men talk deeply, truthfully & honestly about a "heart" issues. How refreshing. That's one of the things I love about this podcast!❤

@QuirkeeBunny you’re right. That’s why my handle is husbands locker room. Where men can be open and honest with other men. That’s what I am doing with my podcast. Where do men be open and honest? In the locker room.

Man, that was powerful! Thank you guys very much, you’ve opened my eyes to all of my hurt and pain that I’ve caused and that I’m going through. I’m going to apologize to my wife and truly forgive her because the pain I caused her drove her away. GOD BLESS

Sometimes, just removing someone from your life is the best. Some things are not forgivable. I can never forgive the person who took life from my loved ones.
It also depends on the event or circumstances. I have had some close people do me dirty in the past year. Just removing them is the best move for me right now. Time will tell if I can forgive them.People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

I 1,000% agree with this. For me it depends on what the person had said or done. If the person had said or done something messed up or that you feel crossed a line that, in my opinion, can’t be forgiven no matter how many times they sincerely apologize. Also some people, in my opinion, don’t deserve to be forgiven because if they hurt you once they’ll probably hurt you again. It’s better to not have them in your life.

I believe there’s a lot to be said for forgiveness but in my experience anyway there are some people who are so dug in/invested in their hurt feelings that they’re not willing to risk a different way of thinking. They seem to have a profound need for the status quo because it protects them from risk and pain and having to examine their part in an estrangement.
Thank you, gentlemen, for your discussion.

Forgiveness is the best thing you can do for yourself when you can’t forgive the person who hurt you always keep the power over you cause you holding on to things you can’t change it took me a long time to forgive a person who took sumthe away from me an it ate me up for years since I was ten and that a lot for a child to carry for so many yrs I’m grown women now an learned that forgiveness gave me the power to take my life back my mental health was much more important than me holding on to things that was impossible to change I having forgotten but I forgave an move on I can say it actually gave me peace god will

It took me a while to understand i can forgive someone & not have to rock with them anymore (depending on the offense or type of person(s) of course as well). Back in the day, there was more of a misconception that just because you forgave someone, you should remain friends or family even.

I forgave the person and the did the exact same thing. Nope. Not again. I moved on from that forgiveness.

Forgiveness is for you. Because unforgiveness is you drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. You are only killing yourself.

  • @meagantrippleton1431

For me whether or not I forgive someone depends on what they’ve done or said. If they said or did something that later on is something both of you can laugh about then it can be forgiven. If they’ve said or done something that was really messed up and hurt you that can’t be forgiven. Also someone saying they’re sorry doesn’t come with automatic forgiveness and if the person is actually sorry they’re actions will speak louder than their words will.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean allowing people back in your life. In fact, the other party doesn’t have to know you forgave them.
