75 mpg going 70mph ....it's crazy good AND NO VIBRATION going fast ....it just purrs because of offset cylinder with counterbalance built in to smooth out motor NO OTHER MOTOR HAS THIS !!!!
Can't weight to bet my hands on one. I want hand guards and heated grips and the 50 Liter top box. Looks like a great light weight touring machine. Just wish they had a 400 cc engine, I had the Yamaha 400 Majesty and loved it, was really disappointed when they stopped selling them.
You are right, why Yamaha did not uograde the engine to a 350 or installed the 400 from majesty. (probably, that market is smaller, and then, its too close competition to their Tmax). I ride the Xmax400, the best scooter for both city and highway. The xmax300 is not ideal for highway and duo rides. So, when my xmax400 need replaced, i will look at Voge SR4 or QJ fortress350 if they come to Europe. The SYM maxsym400 was an alternate, if the dashboard was not so dissapointingly sad!!!. I hope they install a TFT dash soon.
@@Mark-ev6ls Think I will pass on the 300, had a Versys 300 and the engine just rev way to high for my liking. I am afraid the X max 300 might be the same. I will weight till they bring a 400 or bigger hear to Canada I was looking forward to getting one but just think the 300 cc might be to small of an engine, for the highway. I did love my Majesty 400. Looking at the CB 500 X they say 500 Km per tank of gas, that sounds great to me. Finally coming out with mid size bikes that get some distance per tank of gas.
I don't know why you don't think this 2023 Xmax 300 doesn't have the hiway speed??? I've got one and on a flat surface ( I'm 6'3" 205lbs ) it has gone 87 mph GPS 92 on digital readout !!!! Now at 3/4s throttle it goes 75mph !!!!!!! It has no vibration like other Mid Maxi scooters do......this offset cylinder with a counter balance is the TRICK by Blue Core that Yamaha has.......it purrs ! And it averages 75mpg going 70mph and has huge storage and a giant 3.5 gallon tank ........there isn't a mid maxi scooter that has all the pluses as this comfortable machine !!!! Mine cost me $6299 out the door and I felt like I stole it in comparison to 400 Burgman $9000 ....are you kidding me for the big bulky thing compared to this light weight 397 lbs easy to maneuver cat quick machine ????
Not a word about the bloody suspension! ................ I own an xmax and the ONLY thing that lets it down is the SHOCKING suspension quality! Most manufacturers now skimp on suspension and you and your pillion end up with back breaking jars to the spine!.................. sorry Yamaha but I WONT be buying another one .I will change brands.
@@jimw7916 I respect the points you make Jim. I’ve sold my 2018 XMax and I’ll be getting my new one in 2023 February. I don’t think NZ are getting the Sports Tech version. I’ve also got a 2022 Triumph Bonneville T120 Matt Black bike.
Since 1972 I have owned YR5 350 , DT 125, XS 500, DT 175 (x4), XT 500 (x2), XT 600 Tenere, RD 350 YPVS, and an XT 350. They were all very good to superb motorcycles that I could service myself without difficulty. The Tech of this thing is Maxxed out beyond both human need and human comprehension. Not for me.
Like all the features, but I still want a tachometer, does it have one ? tachometer info and speed, are the first two pieces of information I want to see/ know, on any vechicle

The Forza is 10 times worse. YSS suspension makes a huge difference mind you.
