wow. You actually gave me hobby that is pretty cool. Ever since my friend introduced this kind of thing to me, I got more and more involved. thank you soooooooo much this is coolest thing I've ever done in my life. man what a thrill.
well done Bruce! excellent flight..must also thank pit crew member Barry! excellent job barry! It seem that you have made him a bit of a you tube star bruce!
Pulse Jet - Simple and gets the job done. So long as the job does not require thrust control beyond off to full frantic. Great test airframe. Control over speed.
Back in '76 by buddy and I first fired up his Redhead pulsejet in the alley in about 4 ft of snow. Just for the heck of it, we tried some stating spray (ether) while it was running. Talk about a spectacular exhaust flame! It cooled the tube too- the color darkened momentarily, but the sound was awesome. It would be cool if you could figure a safe way to inject short bursts for flybys!
This guy shows jet flying guys are cool in the sun and fun under lean conditions. But not all jet guys are cut from the same sheet of stainless. the other day I filmed a crash land and was hounded for the footage. many happy pulse jet returns. you are a good jet guy in my book of fun activities
Nice power, way too loud for most flying fields and if you have to wear hearing protection its definitely too loud. Good going Bruce, I see you are allowed to fly again.
Seems like a small electric fuel pump with a proper regulator and return line system would fix the problematic and flaky nature of using a gravity feed for this type of engine. That way you have a controlled positive pressure that's very consistent, easily throttled, and can be cut off without the hazard that a pressurized tank would cause. Cool plane btw, even if it's loud as hell.
@xjet Yes, but you forgetting, pressure conditions in a Pulse Jet change during flight, and so will your pressure from your tapping point. You need something constant which does not rely on pressures generated from within the engine itself. Your tapping point will also pulse...just like the engine itself does as the pressure wave travels back and forth along the engine.
yeah I liked that too. thing wanted to jump up and go to warp speed in a Viking take off, and he's acting like "it's not too bad, I guess it's ok... " haha
Pulse jet engines intake air simply through being open, while turbine jet engines have a spinning fan that pulls the air in. This causes the air to be burnt in a pulse jet in, as the name suggests, pulses, as there is a split second delay before the air is able to re-fill the combustion chamber. They tend to be less powerful at low speeds, however at high speeds the lack of obstructing fan allows in some cases more power than a turbine engine. Also they don't catch on fire as much :p
WOW THAT WAS COOL!!!!!! That looks like a V-1 frpm the side when it goes by and I love the graceful landing the plane made. I also enjoy watching your pulse jet experiments and projects. My dad like the valved V-1 type engine I like both valved and valveless. The only pulse jets I have are Reynst pots but they nevertheless are fun. Feel free to watch my vids of my hobbies if you like bees tornado vortex machines and the like. Have fun driving pulsejets:)
Pulsejets, best fuel to noise converters ever made.
second only to detroit diesels
I would think global warming as a political topic is a more powerful fuel to noise converter.
Achtung, Herr Leutnant, sounds like a "buzz bomb" to me !!!
Ww2 vets are looking up ! Buzzing bombs
Wow you sure have that right !!!
"Welcome to Jurassic Park"
Hahaha shit thats a good one my respect bro best of the Year
That one caught me off guard, LOL!
Immediately realised what you meant as soon as the video started
Sehi pakda
Lmpa 🤣🤣
"That was a bit exciting!"
Far out Bruce!
Seems to be a great platform for the pulsejet. Nice work as always, Sir!
Well done Bruce, got to be one of the best conversions for a RC aircraft box set I've seen.
Посадка просто СУПЕР!!!!!! Я впечатлён!
wow. You actually gave me hobby that is pretty cool. Ever since my friend introduced this kind of thing to me, I got more and more involved. thank you soooooooo much this is coolest thing I've ever done in my life. man what a thrill.
Hey bud. How are you doing now??
I thought I had seen everything, but this something new and mind-blowing. A pulse jet ! Wow ! Well done !
Lets see... 1945 for something new?
@@tedmoss the first working model was created in 1907
That's class, such a great fast flight and smooth landing. Keep up the quality work.
Sprightly is an understatement!
Un merveilleux pilote ce brave
I had a control line plane with this kind of engine when I was about 14. Coolest, most dangerous toy I ever owned.
I was always curious about the pulse jet behind Bruce on the rcmodelreview videos. I finally get to see one fly. Nice!
Great flying teamwork! Fantastic landing! Highly enjoyable! Short and to-the-point!
Such a smooth landing..
😂😂😂
Nice!!
I bet anyone living near your flying
field must love you guys. ;-)
That motor sounds like the sky is
being ripped open..
luv it sounds just like the old v-1's from Germany great engineering!
Yes, I remember one crossing South Ruislip and heading for Harrow. Pulse sound was slower than this I recall.
We all need runways like this.
LOL. It does not get quieter as it gets farther away.
Wow, that thrust!
very interesting and lots of fun by the looks and sounds of it , hope to see more flights real soon , cheers thanks for sharing .
congrats! your plane didn't fall apart under these forces. wow such a speed!
The best with the pulsejet-engines is the sound!
Excellent Bruce,a doodle bug TameCat awesome keep up the good work. All the best David.
110% rated well done very fast, few bugs to be expected, well done great series Iam sure so looking forward to the next vid. Many thanks
Perfect landing!
Mes respects mon vieux.... bravo
well done Bruce! excellent flight..must also thank pit crew member Barry! excellent job barry! It seem that you have made him a bit of a you tube star bruce!
That pulse jet was just awesome!
Always cool to see this again and again.....
Super aircraft, great first flight and landing!
Pulse Jet - Simple and gets the job done. So long as the job does not require thrust control beyond off to full frantic. Great test airframe. Control over speed.
Hella smooth flying 🤴
Well done Sir ; ts quiet rare to see new technologies .
Please keep your videos coming .
Best regards from your fans
Lets see... 1867 to 1907 pulse jets were developed, that's new technology. It is still rare.
@@tedmoss mostly due to the noise!
that was amazing! perfectly balanced

A pulse jet is to fast for that kind of stunt, just keep it flying.
wonderful work guys. Thanks for sharing!
Great tail colors...The famous Jolly Rodgers!!

Looking forward to the next flight, love it.
lol! great vid, i remember you saying this won't be as fast as other pulse jets, but damn that thing is fast!
Nice landing.
great plane the climb rate is awesome
nice landing, rc aircraft make landing full size planes look easy
Good Flight, and that landing wasn't too bad either...
2:12 Maybe it was not the G-forces that caused the engines to go 'lean' but the cavitation effects at comitting a 180 turn
What shame no more flights of Bruce's Cruze Missile/V1 and such like.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching its progress . Thanks Bruce..
Super job with fixing pulse jet problems. Not a bad pilot either!
Fast & loud, thumbs up, both of them..!!
Headed for London?
Lol,respect
that's dark humor but good anyways
Bruh
Is it wrong this had me laughing!
Nice power, way too loud for most flying fields and if you have to wear hearing protection its definitely too loud. Good going Bruce, I see you are allowed to fly again.
@xjet Die Wunderwaffe ist ein Erfolg, Herr Simpson!
Ahhh the good ole days Bruce.
Great job mate, you've just reinvented the V-1 Buzz Bomb albeit a faster version. Super landing!
Nice....love from India..
Thanks
Now, that is frigging COOL!!
Congrats Bruce.
wow! A pulse jet and Jurassic Park. Good work man
Very cool. Thank you for sharing this.
just love you guys. you duffers are my kind of crazy hahaha... thanks for all the fun....
well done. iv followed this plane nice to see her up
Pretty good
Very nice!!...Yes, a cup of coffee to finish off a good test flight.
your vids r always great Bruce
That was something else! WOW!
So good that landing!
Brrrrllint landing sir
Lovely landing!
Sheet Bruce that took off like a cut Cat!
Haha i laughed so hard when the fuel was cut... In this state its more of a V-1 than a plane xDD
Im just kiddn, so its no offense ^^

8 inches between the bottom of the fuel tank and the injector will cause problems at high G no matter what the pump pressure.
Wow, that's a fast plane !
2019 gotta get this going again Bruce !
Yep, I think I'll wait until the grass is a little less dry though :-)
Nice one Mr Simpson

Nice touchdown!!! =)
Welcome to jarasic park

Haha i love the motocross sounds in the background
That thing looks like a flying razor blade! Doctor Phibes would be proud.
Great landing
Now that's what I call an RC plane :)
You just gave old British folk some flashbacks.
very nice...congrats....and thank you for the teaching...
tremendous power
i like it, simple and effective.
damn, that got up and it got out of there in a hurry.
Love your work!
*Quite* sprightly!
yeah I liked that too. thing wanted to jump up and go to warp speed in a Viking take off, and he's acting like "it's not too bad, I guess it's ok... " haha
perfeckt länding !
perfect engineering .
wow nice build

Make it bigger. And now you got yourself a V-1 German WW2 rocket
Excellent work!
Good to know a man of your age can still get it up :D Haha! ok to easy sorry
But good job, nice write-up
@MrCommonlane ok thank you for your help i was wondering becase that plane has such a epic glide on it
Excellent man
This is awesome! What a speed!
Cool sound, good job.
Isn't this is the guy who released genetically engineered dinosaurs onto the Earth?

I would love to see a flight longer than 24 seconds, but I bet engineering it further will be a challenge
Lucky to keep it in the air that long, from what I've seen, good job!
