Susan, absolutely fabulous video! Will be 70 in May. People take me for 55. Mainly it's my confidence and positivity. I don't own down moments. Do believe you have to move. Walking is my fav exercise. Also just dancing when I have the chance. But, as you hit on, smile!! We look better when we smile. We are more approachable when we smile. Think we are more intriguing too. Don't make the number your state of mind. Dream big. Be bold. Love yourself!! Have a great weekend🤗
Diane Good for you!!! No one guaranteed life would be easy and times can be tough but you have a great attitude that's why your success shines so bright. I wish you many fabulous years of laughter ahead!!! BE FABULOUS DARLING ❤
Thank you for that kick in the pants, I mean it. I've been so down lately and depressed I needed this video and your words to kick me back into happiness again. Thank you so much Diane and Susan!!!!
Hi from Annie in Australia. You look lovely in all those clothes and I still have those twin sets but after hearing you say its a big older style I will only wear them around the house now. I notice you hair is getting a bit shorter bit by bit that is good as I mentioned before a pixie short layered hair cut would be nice on you I have worn these short pixies for years as they are not ageing they actually make one look younger and gives a fresher face look. I colour my hair with henna powder it can be black brown copper brass red auburn shades any of those depends on what combination you mix powder in as it comes in basic shades I mentioned and one can still mix them up for a change, I don't do blonde any more as my skin is too sensitive to the bleach etc . Have you thought of changing hair colour from time to time for fun? Age and posture is a big one I have to work on it a lot. Your little pooch Desi is so cute and loveable makes life better doesn't he. You must have a hundred dresses all so very nice, I still get lots clothes from the op shops last week got a bag of clothes for $5 they do that couple times a year summer and winter etc and I love a bargain. One day I was in op shop and got a blouse just like one of your floral ones you showed us and I was so pleased so when I wear it I think of you.
My Grandmother was 103 when she passed and she wore bright earrings and scarfs and absolutely LOVED life. She set an example for me and I hope to pass it on to my nieces. Dream on!!!
I just completed an online accounting class with an A at my local junior college. I am 67 and the work was so challenging but I am so proud! I felt younger while taking and younger knowing I still “have it”. Never stop challenging yourself ladies!
Great video!!! I lift my spirits by sewing clothes that fit me and look great. I am housebound because I am sole caretaker for my husband who has dementia. I rarely can leave the house, but I have an enormous fabric stash and lots of supplies. I modify patterns or draft my own to create fun garments for me or for others. I am so thankful that God blessed me with this love of textiles as it is truly my outlet for artful expression. It brings comfort and joy to others as well.
I am 73 years old and I am living my best life. Last Saturday night at this time, I was at the Chris Brown concert with my daughter in law. I have discovered that it is important to stay current and to continue to do the things that make you happy. Life is good as long as you enjoy it.
I love to watch your videos. They make me realize that at 82, I can still feel young. With all your suggestions, as far as makeup and fashion, I have the desire to try to be the best I can. I love young fashion. I love bright colors and maxi dresses are my favorite. I lost my daughter in 2015, and thought I would never survive. But, watching you made me realize, that I still can keep living and caring.
Oh Astrida, thank you so much for being here. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your daughter. I think one thing women know how to do is make things right...to go on..to be strong and inspire...you just did that for me and I thank you....xxoo Susan & Dez
Astrida, I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I lost my son in 2015 and know it is devastating! Glad to see you are also allowing yourself to enjoy your life now. I finally feel more alive and so enjoy this !!
Hi Susan! Thanks so much for this inspiring video! I thought I would share what I do. I’m 70 years old and a lead singer in a rock band. You’re so right about keeping our voices in shape as we age, so I make it a point to sing every day. Also I like to dress in more current styles, sometimes edgy, sometimes boho. It all keeps life more fun! I’ve recently lost my husband of 33 years so my life is totally different now but I am determined to keep moving forward and to not give up on living. Thanks again for all of your inspiring videos! You’re a Godsend! ❤️❤️❤️
I can't believe I just discovered your channel and bingewatched several of your videos this evening. I will be 68 in November and I just love your sincerity. My Dad passed away in August at age 104...so many great lessons from him on how to stay young...but, after he passed I decided it was my opportunity to leave that area and start the next chapter of life. I downsized, sold my house, packed up the car, and drove down to live in Mexico with my dog and two cats. People say I am brave, but if you want to do something, you just have to make it happen! For some reason, I am inspired to try harder to look good here. I'm not looking for a partner, I just feel better when I try. Thank you for all of your heartfelt advice and tips. I had my piano and guitar moved down here and I am going to get back to making music again!!
Hello Tamara and welcome! I am so happy you found me and Dez!!! May I also say I am so sorry for your loss...I would love to hear your music!!! xo Susan
I agree with everything you said. I’m 69 years and I workout 5 days a week, vegan and love to dress nicely. I just went skydiving a month ago. People always complement me, thinking I’m much much younger. I love life and people. You look great and love all the outfits you modeled. 😄❤️
69, vegan, and in the past five years of eating whole food plant based, no meat or dairy I've lost 40 lbs and four sizes. My cholesterol lowered from low 300s to under 190. I take no meds. Nothing makes anyone look or feel their best like good health.
Hi Susan. I feel like I age 10 years every day. I think I have mentioned that my finance Mark is dying. He is under hospice care. I got out Monday for 2 mri. First time I've been out of the house in 4 months at least. The nurse could tell a big difference in Mark. He is at the stage of life where he sleeps alot and eats less. I have to keep up with his intake and out take. He is very grumpy. He doesn't want to be bothered or touched or asked questions. He really does not want to talk. I make myself walk a mile daily. I stopped showering or doing anything for 3 months. 2 weeks ago I cut my hair off. It was below my shoulders. Now itz up to my ears. My hair was dead. I was hurting in physical pain and emotional pain. I have very little support. I have a eating disorder. I don't get hungry or taste food. It's a ms issue. I don't sleep alot. I felt like I was dying with Mark a little bit daily for months and honestly I fight those feelings daily. I'm in tears writing this. I have a friend that text me every day to ask if I've eaten and to say I love you. I'm proud of you. My mother doesn't do this. My mother is sick. She needs back surgery number 6. This will be the worst surgery and she may not make it. Mark sleeps most of the day. I am grateful I have my art. I have fallen in love with water colors and gel inks. I have sold some of my pieces. I would be honored to create something for you. I like adding names to my work. I did a cat for my former piano teacher. I did the cat in black and silver and white. I made it piano theme. I drew tiny notes. I wrote famous composers names on it. She is framing it to hang in her studio. She still teaches. I feel so lost. I have ms and more. So I had to have a mri of my neck and brain. I kept our neighbors Yorkie for a few days while she was in the hospital. I'm on Facebook. Please pray for us. Life is not easy but we make it work.
1. You made so many great points! 2. You and RxStar Mom create my favorite fashion shows! 3. You make me laugh! I appreciate your humor! 4. I love bright and sunny colors! 5. I learned about the voice! 6. Yes on jackets and understated! 7. I love the idea of staycation! 8. Yes on still having dreams! Thank you so much!🌺🌺🌺🌺
Love this! I’ll be 67 next month, it’s a big number yes and 2021 has not been my best year…losing my home in a fire and forced into retirement however I can honestly say with challenges come insight and I am happy to say I am on the other side. Love from my family has helped and I am grateful but the bottom line it was up to me to get back on my feet and realize I have a lot more living I want to do. It may sound silly but Pilates has helped me so much…it helped to me to realize how strong I am both physically and emotionally. Thanks Susan you are a blessing.
Hi Susan, Thank you for another inspiring video. I would add a couple of things to your suggestions. I believe our hair is so important to the way we look and how we feel about ourselves. As the years go by, our hair becomes thinner which can age us by ten or more years. I am 67 and began wearing wigs about five years ago and feel so much more confident when I leave the house. I would also add maintaining our dental health and having our teeth whitened can make us feel more youthful. 🌺
Love wigs, I've got about ten, short, medium and longer, different styles. I don't always wear them of course, but when I want to go out shopping, or lunch or dinner, WIG TIME! They can dramatically change how good you look, and I feel like a million bucks in them. My own hair isn't what it used to be, and I get tired of fighting it. Great comment.
Rosemary infused olive oil is a hair restorer. Leave it in a jar in dark place for about 5 weeks. Stain out the Rosemary retain the oil Then later rub it on scalp and hair. You can add other herbs but Rosemary is known to be an ancient hair restorer
I wear red lipstick, blusher, eye liner and mascara and a touch of concealer and it brightens my face. I wear bright clothes and walk and housework when not in pain. I agree with everything you say. I've had a cataract operation the other day and I can see great and things look bright. My motto is: Keep on keeping on and I don't tell people my age. I love your maxi dresses and belts.
Love how women support and encourage each other all because of YOU SUSAN !!! YOU lead the charge of positive living and looking fabulous at any age!! Just celebrated the end of 77 and dancing into 78! People's mouth drop when i tell them my age, they guess I'm 60! From now forward I'm 60!! Lolololol Thank you for teaching us to be fabulous!!!
Hiding, camouflaging, & covering up is all so wonderful! Then, comes the moment everything is revealed! I’m praying for a nearly blind better half🫣😳🥸who prefers the lights to be off, so his eyes won’t hurt🙃😘😂
Thank you so much for these tips, Susan. This video has come at a good time for me. I am having a difficult time in life right now, and have very little control over things, BUT as I watched this video, I realized that I CAN control my attitude!! I'm 61 and I just feel my health slipping away so I feel so darn old. It's been a rough year but I am going to smile more and power through. Two things I do for myself every day to help feel better is to take a walk around our neighborhood, weather permitting, and praying a rosary every day. Both help my anxiety so much. Also, I try to remember to count my blessing and focus on the good instead of the difficult things and that always helps. You look great in all your outfits. I totally agree about cardigans being aging, though I do love them so. I think I'll keep them to wear around the house. I love seeing your little guy at the end of your videos. He always makes me smile and I really like his bow tie this week 💞 He sure is a special boy.
Oh Sharon you touch my heart and I am so grateful you are here! I love to walk too and I talk to myself while I am walking! I can only imagine what my neighbors say about the crazy lady talking to herself!!! LOL...Hopefully, they think I am talking to DESI!!!
I’ll be 69 next month and I can’t wait to learn to can foods, grow a garden, and make bread. I’m still in the midst of decorating my new forever home and I’m totally excited to get up each morning. There are so many things I want to do yet! One of my happiest times is sitting on my back porch with my dog and enjoying the breeze. I love your videos Susan!
I've been stuck in a rut for some time now. I've been thinking lately, it's time I become an overcomer. Your clip today has helped inspire me all the more. Thank you. You're a delight. I look forward to your clips every week.
We all get into ruts at times but put your engine in drive and put the pedal to the metal hit the gas and drive out of the rut !!! Call a friend for a push if you can't do it yourself. Each day is a new day and a new beginning. ❤
@@roxy4158 Oh... thank you so much for the pep talk. I so need it. To be honest, I've been down and out for many years, 43 to be exact. I know...that's a long time. I'm tired of being played by a narc husband and have decided I'm going to WIN the war. Best way to do that is to be HAPPY despite him. And that's what I'm determined to do. Bless you for your comment.
All the outfits looked great on you Susan, the all black one with the long jacket was my favorite. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing you and Desi every Saturday.
I've watched your videos for quite awhile & this is my 1st time commenting. I love your video's! I turned 66 in April & I walk almost every day, usually 2 to 5 miles. I've lost wt., feel much better, & it's improved my attitude! I've been blessed with good genes & know I still need to do my part! Thanks for your continuing support & encouragement! My mom always said age is just 2 #'s til ya reach 100! You & Dezie (sp?) are awesome!
HI Susan, I agree so much with what you say, I suffer from chronic back pain but I refuse to allow it to take over my entire life, I still try to look the best I can and enjoy life as much as I can. Empire waist dresses are my friends I also love the halter tops that show off the shoulders. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. We have to learn to work with what we have. Hugs, Clara xoxo
I feel blessed that I am healthy at 70, but when you said you were saying maybe I should clean out my closet in case something happens. That is exactly what my sister friend and I have been discussing. She's been my bestie since we were 11 years old. Also, both of us want to downsize to a 2 bedroom 2 bath small house. She with her daughter and me with my cats and 2 dogs. Yes I'm a cat lady, I was born a cat lady. Thank you for this video, I needed that. Starting tomorrow I am going to start implementing some of the things you talked about in your video. Say hello to precious Desi.❤
Susan, first I want to say I LOVED every single dress and jacket you wore in this video. They are soooooo beautiful on you and I want every single one of them. LOL! I needed this kick in the pants this week. I"ve been so depressed and feeling so lost this video is what the doctor ordered. So thank you and Diane L below helped too! God bless both of you!!! And sweet Desi too!
When my dad turned 80, he looked great…lived to be 96…always smiling….exercised even when his legs gave up on him. I try not to think of my age, try to have things to do everyday that are fun and inspiring….never bored. So much to learn in this lifetime! Love this positive video!👍🏻🤗😘
Dear Susan, I am now 79yrs , do-not feel it, do not look it , and I agree with you use Color in your dress And yes , for sure little waist line jackets are my all time favorite’s Susan each week you brighten my world with your beautiful smile and your amazing insights And of course . I love to see wee Desi always nearby you. You so radiate love and life . Thank you 🙏 Mary Canada 🇨🇦
Beautiful as ever🥰 After listening to your video today, I’ve decided I need an attitude adjustment about aging. I’ve been going through some health challenges this past year that have tried to take me down and it’s been hard to stay upbeat and active, but I really need to. I’m going to work on it🙂 thanks for your inspiration🌷😘
Oh I understand. I am going through health challenges and have almost given up. I am an introvert and do not reach out very often but your comment about needing an attitude adjustment and I instantly knew that's what I need.
Dear Susan, You will be very proud of me. While shopping at TJ MAXX awhile back I met a very nice clerk. We live in the same area and just hit if off. We blabbed and had fun. Later I thought that I wish we were friends. So about 6 wks later. I happened to be in there and walked by her station. She commented, that I had a pretty blouse on. I thanked her and went on. About 30 more min. of retail therapy, I went back over there and she was not busy so I asked her would she like to go to lunch sometime. I said I am not weird or selling anything, I just liked our conversation. So we exchanged numbers and addresses. Trying to make new friends is important. Love all you videos.
Susan, your joy just radiates! We all have “those moments”, but the ability to snap yourself out of it….there is the difference. Having turned 70 this year is a jolt. But mainly because I am blessed with my health, my joy for life, my wonderful husband and family, so, I don’t feel whatever “70” is supposed to feel like. I worked at Starbucks for 17 years, and nothing keeps you young like working with a bunch of young people! But none of them believed my age. I know that my attitude, my humor, my joy in people….all mask any age number. Bless you for all you do. You and Desi be well and keep smiling.
Susan thank you for this uplifting video. I am 67 and many people tell me my complexion looks much younger. I try to use natural uncomplicated products and for years I have used goat milk soap to cleanse my face. It works for me. My biggest problem is my weight. I have some difficulty loosing weight. You look fabulous lately and it is a pleasure to be subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work and say hi to Desi!!!😀
Yep! You were so Spot on when you said and showed us fitted and brighter clothing can keep us younger looking, which you styled it brilliantly for us to see! One of the things at age 65 that makes me feel young and love to do beside singing like you do, is finding a oldie song I use to dance to and cutting rug and workin it all over the house! It gives me such joy, of course my body doesn’t move they way use to but I can still keep up with the beat! Loved your content, you and Desi have a Fun Safe Week! 👏🏻🤗♥️
With my disability I have found joy in Crafts! I have tried all sorts but I love to knit, make cards, stamp candles and decoupage! And I love to sell at Craft Fayres! Not just for money sometimes I don't sell much, but its the pleasure I get sharing what I do with others! It makes me make the effort to look good, get up and go out! And if people complement me on my makes its lovely! I am so looking forward to the Christmas Victorian Day as I love anything Victorian! I am making plans for future making and crafting but its getting out and about, talking to people, and you can't help but smile when you are enjoying yourself!
Susan this was a beautiful video and a good reminder to always look your best even if you are home alone. Adding lipstick, mascara and touching up eyebrows makes a huge difference mentally. Have a great weekend to you and Desi .❤️🤗😘
Susan, you are Refreshing & beautiful!! I love your Upbeat Personality! I own over 20jean jackets, size XL to 1X, I've loved them for years! One is Levi, I've had for 15yrs, I have white, black, white & blk both with studs, have one with embroidery...
I retired at 63 and started learning to play the bass guitar. Now, at 65, I'm playing in the worship band at church. Now I have to think about "stage clothes" - okay, maybe not sequins, it IS church after all - but I always want to look my best when up on the stage. Even during Covid, I never would sit around the house in sweats. That always sounded just so sad to me. So, how do I make myself look my best? I always wear clothes that make me feel wonderful. I put makeup on (and have learned that lighter coloured eye shadow enhances my colouring now). I sometimes even curl my hair but not often - my hair is very fragile as I've gotten older, so I'm very careful with it. Interestingly enough, I embraced my salt-and-pepper hair about 10 years ago and I get lots of compliments on the colour. Even gray hair doesn't detract from looking and feeling my best. It's all in the attitude, isn't it, Susan?
I loved every outfit! You look gorgeous! It’s not just the clothes, but how you carry yourself, your positive attitude, beautiful smile and twinkling eyes that mirror your beautiful heart! Hugs to you n Desi Blessings! Thankyou for inspiring others Lisa
Susan, I LOVED your video this week !!! You touched on SO MANY great points to remember. I really needed the reminder to stand taller and not slouch. Without realizing it, I had begun to walk with my shoulders hunched and it is NOT a good look at all !!! With tomorrow attending church and Sunday School, I am going to really concentrate on standing tall. THANKS so much for that reminder !!! I also thoroughly enjoyed your fashion show. As always, you look so pretty in all of them and the black & white dress is BEAUTIFUL on you. Thanks again for sharing your life and perspectives with all of us and have a great week till we see you and Desi next weekend.
You looked fantastic in the all black outfit with the duster, Susan! Young and chic and thin like a tall column! So happy you are going to change somethings up with your wardrobe...excited to see you put the plan in action! 🙂
At the age of 65 and due to the great recession of '08, I was taken aback by the situation I found myself in -- over 60, laid off, losing all my 401K, and no employer returning my calls or interviews. I finally concluded that being a woman of a certain age, I was just supposed to retire to my front porch and rocking chair and be done with it. I was still too full of energy and excitement for a life still to be lived and explored, so I joined one of my sons who was interested in moving to Thailand to become a teacher. I have now lived here for almost 11 years, and at the age of 76, am busier, happier, and more fulfilled than most anytime I can recall. First, the Thai people admire, respect and appreciate older people, and when you're still full of life, they celebrate it. I now spend most of my time either teaching at local universities or with private students as well as curating and helping young Thai artists and am constantly surrounded by younger friends who enjoy my company and what I have to offer and share. Sometimes just going for it makes all the difference! I am younger in spirit and attitude as well as looks and health than when I was stressed out and working for lawyers and politicians till my mid 60s and am so happy I was pushed along to try new adventures. My youth and vitality have returned, and I recommend do overs and new beginnings no matter what age.
Thank you so much. Yes many non western cultures still have respect for older people. It is fabulous to be on the receiving end of such kind respect I hv experienced it in two different countries
Great video and you look fabulous. I’m a caretaker for my very ill husband so I’ve aged 10 years in the last couple of months but someday when I can I will start living a life and taking care of myself. ❤️
You look great Susan!! I’m 56 and get told all the time I look way younger it makes me feel so great but also makes me very nervous like how am I going to keep this up!!!
Kimberly, what a beautiful neighborhood you have landed in! The houses; the trees; the deign of the land! I bet you are a hero for sprucing up the eyesore of the neighborhood. The little blue houses were adorable! Had you seen the inside? I very much enjoy everything You do!
Exercise makes you happier, camouflage really doesn't work because what's underneath your clothes is out of shape and overweight. Take care of your body by eating healthy, lifting weights and really taxing your body through exercise. I'm 70 and I work hard to stay in shape, no excuses, do the work.☺
I would love to but I have RA. So in can be difficult. Although when I was younger I worked Out everyday. But I try to walk as much as possible. I am 74 years old
@@sharondiaz137 74 YEARS YOUNG!!!! This last birthday ending 77 and starting my 78 year I've decided to tell everyone I'm 60 that's the age they all guess I am so why not! I'm stopping telling people my age and I've stopped counting. It's only a number!
@@sharondiaz137 I realize that and some of the exercises I do are modified but I push myself, not to the point of injury but enough to challenge my body. I push beyond what's comfortable. I work out with Caroline Girvan on YT and it's HARD, another channel I hope you check out is Adam Fields DC, he has some excellent exercises for getting the juices flowing. All the best Sharon!
Over the past year I discovered that I like to wear bright colors and patterns. Before that I only wore solids. I still like my solid colors but am leaning more toward bright colors and now I know why because you explained it so well. I am around the same size and height as you and I am going to start wearing belts and jackets because I like the way you pair them with dresses. Oh, and I loved that pink jacket! Much love to you and Desi ❤
Hello Susan, I have only recently discovered this wonderful channel that you have created. You are such a beautiful woman with a lovely voice. Sometimes when you are feeling low, I find myself shedding a tear or two for you; you are so real. Susan, I recently viewed one video on aging; it was the most profound I have ever seen. I recently turned 78 and every word spoke directly to me. Some of the things you mentioned were that we are no longer the same, we look different and we don't even recognize ourselves. These things have been on my mind for sometime now and I thought it was only me until you made them sound so logical. I am in hopes that you can provide me with the video name so that I can view again. You are such a wonderful speaker, perhaps you could find your way to speak on Ted Talks. Their audience would love you. Thanks, Susan, I hope to hear from you.
Oh Anna....you touch my heart here....you are so sweet and kind..I think I feel a bond with you because we gals are just trying to figure things out....we are never to old to understand this life we lead and how to make sure we can be good and kind to ourselves and others....that video...was I talking about looking in the mirror and seeing somebody that looks like our Mom at times? Maybe the video about Things That Kept Me From Being Happy? th-cam.com/video/ms5lfpjGp_g/w-d-xo.html
I have my plastic surgeon on speed dial 😆😆😆😆 love all the black outfits you modeled... I am late 50's, so those types of threads are what I would gravitate towards and lastly, where I find joy is every and anywhere that I can... thanks for the laughs, love your laugh, you are an adorable soul. Keep on keeping on 😊 ✌ from the Bay Area of California
Hello dear Susan!! Happy weekend!! As always, it’s a big treat for me to tune in to your videos!! Keep doing what you’re doing & nix on any procedures!! You’re truly beautiful inside and out!! I love all your fashion choices!! You always look amazing!! Blessings to you, Desi & your family!!!😍😍😍😍
Wonderful tips on how to embrace aging, continue to look our very best, and remain young at heart! I'm so glad you brought up the Voice! At 75, I still have one! We all do, no matter our age, and we have something important to say. It saddens me when I hear older women speak softly and tentatively - almost apologetically, as if what they have to say has little value. Yes, we need to exercise our voice in the ways you suggested. I've been a singer all my life and I'm very fortunate to have a group of friends who are musicians/singers; we meet at least once/week for a 2-hour jam. It's the highlight of my week - singing , laughing and being silly with friends on a regular basis - what could be better? You are the best, Susan - I appreciate you and never miss your videos. Have a great week! Love, Lo. xo
I turn 61 on Tuesday, so if you took ten years off of my appearance, I'd look 61. :D Thanks for the tips, Susan. You're fabulous! Happy Belated Birthday and love to you and Desi xx That was a joke btw. We all have our off days when our makeup goes on like Krusty the Clown.
Have a wonderful birthday on Tuesday Kate!! Or just do something that you enjoy! Buy some self - pampering items for yourself! Have a blessed day dear! 🥳💐🍰🍨
@@reneemoriconi7003 Thank you Renee. You're so sweet. The only thing I want is some Tiramisu and I'm going for it! I hope that you have a blessed day too xx
I will be 70 in 10 more days!! Being myself makes me happy! I still have long hair, I still wear pink lipstick, and I still wear short shorts!! Grateful for every year God has given me!
I believe confidence has a lot to do with how you look and feel. Loving your life and those that you love, your family, friends. Faith, in my Lord, is the majority. Yes, smile and have fun. susan you always look happy and you have a great smile. thank you for your videos.....you look great!
You looked amazing in those outfits, especially the black ensemble! So sophisticated...but that smile of yours makes you radiate like a sunbeam, and, makes you approachable, even though you look like a million bucks! Love little Desi...he always makes me break out in a huge smile!
Thank you Little Poet, you really do help me with style! Honestly, that little Desi, has The Most ADORABLE Face!!!! He is So Precious!! Love to you two, Thank you ❤🐶💃
According to metaphysics our thoughts and words---CREATE our reality! And I truly believe it. Thank you Susan for your very encouraging thoughts and words to keep us living our best possible lives, untill it is our time to go! I'm still breathing---and intend to make the most of my life, for my time can be shaped by my thoughts! I've experienced it during my lifetime and have seen my dreams come alive---so I keep dreaming and waiting for yet another manifestation! Love & Light!
Susan I love the fashion show but I always do the clothes look so nice on you. I love clothes and bright colors I love to visit with my friends and family, go out to dinner and just laugh until my belly is sore. If we believe we are old , we’re going to be perceived as old. Live and act the age you feel , never let anyone take that image away. Be that women that is upbeat, happy and stylish. I’m 70 and love every minute of it But nobody thinks I’m 70 which I really enjoy that also. Have a wonderful staycation !!!! thanks for sharing ❤️
You have so much class and respect for your viewers! Thank you for being such a charming, beautiful woman who would be an excellent role model to any young woman!😊👍
Ah you are so right...is so wonderful to feel femmine and being a woman...a gift from heaven...with our good intuition tooo....thank you for sharing....happy week ahead....♡♡♡
Really enjoyed this! You reminded me about my posture! I have work cardigans I have to wear and when I was in the office kitchen, I overheard a customer telling my manager how nice that "older lady" who works here was to her...and it was me! You asked ways I make myself feel great...I travel a lot by car and have a Spotify Playlist of my concert songs. I air guitar, air drum and sing out loud to these songs whenever I drive. Keeps me in a great mood!
Susan, This chapter is one of your best! I have to tell you that last week I went to a wedding and I added a belt to the dress I wore...which I had not done previously...It didn't come with a belt! Totally changed the look of the dress and made me feel...well...not sexy (LOL) but sassy. You are such an excellent role model for your community. I love all of the outfits you modeled. And, the book you're going to write...me, too! I already have my main character...just need to put the words on paper. Have a great week... you and Desi...
I saw that Oprah show when it came out , moisturizing was her thing and she never married. Aging is an attitude you have a fabulous attitude, my attitude sense of humour and zest for life keeps me in the game . Yes posture, now at 72 I do shoulder and posture exercises every day. Yes Susan our voices can really weaken . I’m writing a book hope to get it finished one day . My husband that has taken ill our attitude is keeping our life love and dreams intact , and for those that have an issue with my / our life frankly darling I don’t care , I think more women as we age should adopt it , this is truly our time and we should grab every thing we want and love along the way . Dezi you and Mom are looking fabulous in polkadots:) Hugs XoX
Hi Susan, Your smile is everything! It's so infectious! Movement is key - the body is meant to move - I'm done with reminiscing about the past - I'm over it - Looking forward to creating new memories - I have visions, plans, goals...currently I try to stay really present with right where I'm at... I've always worn solids because to me flowers and such show the print or the art, but solids show the line of the body.... I have a large box of new clothing dresses, skirts, shorts, and tops, all different colors but all solids, for my next phase and I'm getting ready...🌺💃💞
I'm 81 and spending time with my children and grandchildren make me the happiest. My youngest daughter comes by everyday. She helps me around the house. We talk a lot, remember a lot about her and her sisters childhood. I'm so grateful for that. I'm partially disabled. We have days when we get out and do things. I usually dress up and try to look nice. I've recently lost 25 lbs. I'm getting my gray hair changed to something that brightens my face. Tired of looking 81, I want to look younger I enjoyed your video today, it really jolted my mind.
I love your fashion shows. I got a Marilyn Monroe vibe. Loved the black dress and duster jacket best! I visited my mom at the nursing home today and she’s 99! Had a great mind and looks for her age. She always looks on the bright side of things and loves to make people smile. I believe that’s what keeps her so young. You and Dezi have a great week ahead!
I think it’s funny but wonderful that you mention singing . I am a singer and did it with a family musical group for years . I started singing when I was four years old and am now going to be 67 years old this February . I’m still singing now , and in fact still singing in public for different kinds of community and church events . I’m happier I think while aging because I still love music and sing !
OH YES DIXIE!!!! I think signers carry a special joy in their hearts....and they have to sing to make the world a much better place!!! Not to mention, it keeps us looking healthier!
I just found your channel and I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, you are beautiful, your home is very warm and inviting( I love how you find treasures and put them together so nicely) and I just love Desi in his little bow ties, he's a sweetie. Keep sharing with us and know that your friends are lucky to know your beautiful soul, keep smiling!
You always hit the nail on the head Suzy!! I relate 100% with everything you share. I recently sold my house and basically disposed of more than 50% of my cherished furniture, housewares, antiques and gorgeous decorative items, including art. You mentioned fatalist. That’s why I did it. My kids don’t care for my things and will trash all of it anyway when I’m gone so I basically gave the majority away to strangers during a garage sale who showed an interest. I try to assure myself that my years of collecting and decorating will live on in somebody else’s life. I now live in a small 2 bedroom Apt and after 2 months am still struggling to find storage spaces for my goodies. At the same time my apartment is brimming with the things that help define my personality. Sort of a Pandora’s box. I’m loving how it is all coming together. Visually it is pleasing to me, although I would love more room to spread out and also more sunlight. I am impressed with myself for getting through that giant step of selling and moving. I’m also looking forward to 70 in 3 years and I am excited about recovering the better of myself. As a young woman, I always had a strong identity, and had a great deal of fun in my life. I’m trying to get back to finding who I am today and how that looks to live it. Thank you Suzy!!! You are a doll and I love you! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I LOVED every minute of this! Thank you for inspiring me to keep dreaming . Your timing is meant to be at this moment in my life. I felt like you were talking to ME! Many blessings to you dear one.
Happy weekend Susan:)! 🌼🌼🌼🎀🎀🎀 That long black duster coat and outfit is gorgeous on you:)...I love to turn up the music and dance and sing to my favorite music from when I was in my early 20's for fun:)...Keeps me young:)💃💃💃:)... Awesome video and reminders, to enjoy life and living and laugh, smile, and keep a sense of joyfulness:)... Have a joyful and fun staycation Susan:)🌺
Heading out for my walk with Always my corgi, mini blue heeler pup of 8 months. I'm 68 years young and this guy is helping me stay this way. Have a blessed life!🤗❤❤🙏
Thank you for your wonderful videos, Susan. I believe your beautiful smile, voice and sense of humor also keep you young. I look forward to your videos. You are a gift to all of us. 🤩✨🙏🏼
I love all your videos and you amaze me that you always hit the mark with new posts every week. I have learned so much from you and I look forward to them every week. You and rxstr are my favorites. I am 77 and love make up and fashion and these videos keep me up to date. I also live alone so I love your tip on vocal chords. I do have that problem so I am taking your advice to start singing to myself. One of my tips is that I do keep in touch weekly with a friend or any of my fabulous grand children! They are a true blessing and keep me moving! So important.
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for helping me feel young...haha..again I feel so young inside but but with body aches and pains and a quick look in the mirror , I feel and look every bit of my 67 years. I love my current job...by the way most of my friends wonder why I started a new job last year when I could have easily retired. For over 40 years I have been a dental hygienist, taking care of people's oral health while supporting my children as a single parent. Fast forward to now, I am the clinic coordinator at a non profit dental and vision clinic. When I am at work I feel ageless...helping our guests to receive the dental care they need but cannot afford is beyond rewarding. I am learning new skills with our optical guests and having the background in dentistry I am better able to navigate dental treatment plans. When people thank me for helping them, when they leave the clinic with a smile, walk out with a new pair of affordable glasses, I am just me...no age, no wrinkles, no big belly butt. I also have the privilege of working with volunteers. This has put me in a position of mentor. I did not seek this, but I am blessed with relationships with others that are mutually beneficial. I don't always get to see your videos as I did when all of us were shut in with the Covid pandemic, but tonight, I found this one..and I feel like I had a nice glass of wine with a friend.
Love your outlook on life and your advice. I’m 61 and love fashion but I hear what you say about ‘cleaning the closet cupboards out just incase..”. Live for today. Love from England 🇬🇧😘
Great video! Love the fashion show and you look fabulous in all..but the black duster..stunning on you! I turned 80 in July and I still wear makeup paint my nails and toe nails...like my older brother always says "It's better to look good than feel good".lol. Love his sense of humor..but there might be some truth there. I have a confession to make...as lovely you are to look at...when Desi is in the video..I only have eyes for him😍 He is the cutest little pup! Love his little round head and soulful eyes and when he is wearing his bowtie..he looks like a dapper gangsta! Have a wonderful week, Susan. Looking forward to your next video.
I truly loved this video, for those of us who've list our moms before we were at an age to have benefited from what you talked about, well it's precious and powerful so thank you.
The one thing I personally know is that age is just a number. I'm not even close to my chronological number 🤣 You gave some really good suggestions. I believe in a positive attitude as much as possible. At least I try 🤣 Have a great week
Susan, I will be 73 this May. So what! I enjoy life. Even when I'm unhappy about something I smile, laugh, sing and talk to myself. When I'm in the public. I smile and talk to people. I try to keep a positive attitude. Most people think I'm 50 or about 55. I never have worn make up. Maybe lipstick sometimes. And people ask me why my skin is so clear. The key to looking beautiful is to be beautiful inside. Next, just love life! I'm not always happy. But on those days. I stay home and enjoy a good book. I love your attitude and smile. Thank you.
Had to comment again I struggle with looking towards the future and I’m only 56 but I feel like my life is over sometimes. I’ve experienced the happiness and sadness of growing older. I’ve list my parents been married for 35 years , have 3 kids and 4 grandkids. I feel like sometimes I have nothing else to look forward to.
Nice to see & hear your happiness. Agree totally with all of your tips. Also certain clothes can age us.. I think big pattern/flowery clothing can make us look Grannish especially if on the shorter size. Loved the DJ she was awesome. Hello Desi & thank you
You are so inspirational. Your friends are lucky to have you as a friend. I would love for you to meet a lovely man to share your life and dreams with, you so deserve that.but Desi would definitely have to approve. Love how his bow tie matches your dress. Your clothes choice looks fantastic on you. I am mid sixties and had started to declutter around the house for exactly that reason of not leaving stuff for my kids to have to sort out…. You gave me a good kick in the pants, but also, it’s good to know that I am not alone in thinking like that .Often, we all need to give ourselves a good talking to ( or listen to Susan😊) Wishing you a lovely week with the beautiful sweet little Desi xx God Bless you both 🐶🌹
Hi Susan, Great video. Wearing the right colors is so important and it doesn't have to cost a lot. Good point about not wearing dull cardigans and wearing form fitting shorter jackets. . Having the right hairdo is also important. Get your hair done more often too!
I LOVE THIS DIANE!!!!! 70 just rocks!!!!
Love this👍
Hi from Annie in Australia.
Dream on!!!
Wow, lucky you to have such a cool Grandma.
I just completed an online accounting class with an A at my local junior college. I am 67 and the work was so challenging but I am so proud! I felt younger while taking and younger knowing I still “have it”. Never stop challenging yourself ladies!
ALright!!!!!
Congratulations Darcy 👍🏻
Congrats on a job well done Darcy!
Congratulations are your achievement… never too late to try something new.
Wow! I'm proud of you! Continuing to learn and be interested in new things all your life will keep you young and vibrant. Bravissima!
A great post thanks
@@LittlePoet Forgot to tell you. My little Yorkie, Fonzie loves Dez. Does yoga every day.
@@astridamathews3405 FONZIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Desi wants to meet!!!
Astride, I am very sorry for the loss of your daughter. I hope you can find something to be happy about every day.
Thank you so much Karen!!!!!! You are so sweet! It's fun to go through some ideas that make us look our best! A happy new week to you! xo Susan & Desi
Thank you so much!🌺🌺🌺🌺
Thank you so much! You are so sweet! Happy weekend to you and yours!!! Susan & Desi
@lone Grimm - Me, too! 🤣😂
Girl, you made me laugh out loud at that one..... Lord, please lower those lights.....😂😂😂❤️
And me, lol 😂
Youth and beauty fade, but a kind heart, beautiful soul and joyful sprit last forever. 🤣
This made me cry Dori....your words are powerful and true...deep;y, true.!!!!
Thank you so much! You are so sweet Laurel!!! Happy weekend to you and yours!!! Susan & Desi
Hi Marji,keep commenting! 🙋
Hello beautiful Clara!!!!! You have fabulous everything including shoulders!!!
I too suffer with chronic lower back pain...I agree... Walking really helps with staying loose. Prayers and hugs your way! 🙏💙
Hi Susan
I love art, fashion, chocolates, family, nature and adventures. Also, I celebrate every season - everyday is a gift!🦚
I’m also a cat lady … must downsize too, soon!
@@sabinekoch3448 I hope I can downsize within the next year. I started today doing some of the things Susan said. Good luck on your downsizing.
I hope you feel better soon Cathy x
When my dad turned 80, he looked great…lived to be 96…always smiling….exercised even when his legs gave up on him. I try not to think of my age, try to have things to do everyday that are fun and inspiring….never bored. So much to learn in this lifetime! Love this positive video!👍🏻🤗😘
Dear Susan, I am now 79yrs , do-not feel it, do not look it , and I agree with you use Color in your dress
And yes , for sure little waist line jackets are my all time favorite’s
Susan each week you brighten my world with your beautiful smile and your amazing insights
And of course . I love to see wee Desi always nearby you.
You so radiate love and life . Thank you 🙏

\I love you Bobbie!!!!
You are so welcome! Happy weekend!!!
Seeing you and Desi makes me smile!! He's so cute in his little bow ties!!!
Thank you and Desi again. God has blessed each of you with each other! You are both appreciated and loved!
I lost my dad this week and I've been feeling pretty down. This video brightened my day and give me hope. TFS!
Wow! Love your spirit.
I loved every outfit! You look gorgeous! It’s not just the clothes, but how you carry yourself, your positive attitude, beautiful smile and twinkling eyes that mirror your beautiful heart!
Hugs to you n Desi
Blessings! Thankyou for inspiring others
Lisa
Thank you Me Smith so much for being here! xo Susan
I remember that video! May we all strive for the abundance and joy for life!
Dreaming and doing it! Absolutely at 72! New house, new pets! and New Travel! Oh and I work ulltime still! You go girl!
OK. I'm donating those cardigans that my grandmother used to wear. That guest on Oprah is my hero. You are just as lovely as she is.
I am 74 years old
@@sharondiaz137 I have RA too
I guess it depends on the severity of the disease
Yes!!! me too!!
Bright colours make me feel fantastic!
Thank you so much for being here! You're so sweet!!! Happy weekend to you and yours!!! xo Susan & Desi
Love, Lo. xo
You look so beautiful in those outfits! You are not corny at all. Love what you are doing and how you have made your story beautiful!!!
Honey your sense of humor is everything....I love it! Krusty the clown . 😂🥳
Krusty the Clown!!! Rosehip oil..I rest my case!!!! Happy new week!!!
Its not your age that people notice. it is your energy.
I will be 70 in 10 more days!! Being myself makes me happy! I still have long hair, I still wear pink lipstick, and I still wear short shorts!! Grateful for every year God has given me!
PEGGY!!! Happy Birthday, Early!!!
I believe confidence has a lot to do with how you look and feel. Loving your life and those that you love, your family, friends. Faith, in my Lord, is the majority. Yes, smile and have fun. susan you always look happy and you have a great smile. thank you for your videos.....you look great!
Your words are just beautiful!
Wow, thank you Sun Flower!!! You are such a kind person!
You are so pretty Kathy!!! Are we ever going to meet!!!
Alright Carol!!! Sassy you!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!
Oh yes, lol, buy that lotion! Oh Liedy, no way do you look your age...not even close!!!!!!!!!!!!! And your laugh, I just love it! beautiful you!!!
Thank you Shelly so much! Every woman should have a box of new clothes just like you!!!!
Love seeing Desi doing his stretches during your fashion show! You look gorgeous in all your outfits as usual.😘
You and Dezi have a great week ahead!
ong!!! 99.....oh how beautiful Jeannie!
Love you and Desi. I turned 54 this year and struggling with what I want to do from here. You are such and inspiration and a bright spot in my day.
WELCOME!!!!!
Thank you so much!!! You are so sweet! It's fun to go through some ideas that make us look our best! A happy new week to you! xo Susan & Desi
Happy weekend Susan:)! 🌼🌼🌼🎀🎀🎀
That long black duster coat and outfit is gorgeous on you:)...I love to turn up the music and dance and sing to my favorite music from when I was in my early 20's for fun:)...Keeps me young:)💃💃💃:)...
Awesome video and reminders, to enjoy life and living and laugh, smile, and keep a sense of joyfulness:)... Have a joyful and fun staycation Susan:)🌺
Thank you so much! You are so sweet! Happy weekend to you and yours!!! Susan & Desi
Hi Susan, i like to make the choice each morning and it's so easy to start the day this way. Choose Joy. It make such a difference ❤
Loved the all black outfits!!! You looked fantastic in them. See you next week!
You are so sweet Susan!!!!!
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for helping me feel young...haha..again
I feel so young inside but but with body aches and pains and a quick look in the mirror , I feel and look every bit of my 67 years.
Yes, I am getting my wardrobe to be simple and understanded. No more prints, mostly solids and lights colors.
Love your outlook on life and your advice. I’m 61 and love fashion but I hear what you say about ‘cleaning the closet cupboards out just incase..”. Live for today. Love from England 🇬🇧😘
Loved all your outfits! Especially the all black outfit with hooded duster….gorgeous! A great video. And your home is so beautiful. 💕
I dance outside in the backyard in the summer sun with my granddaughter to Motown oldies. We laugh with joy !
I'll tell you the truth Susan, you look 40! Honestly! Love you gal 💗..I am Paulette in West Virginia..
Hello Desi & thank you
Hello Mel!!!!! Happy Tuesday!!!
@@LittlePoet ...and to you too.
You gave me a good kick in the pants, but also, it’s good to know that I am not alone in thinking like that .Often, we all need to give ourselves a good talking to ( or listen to Susan😊) Wishing you a lovely week with the beautiful sweet little Desi xx God Bless you both 🐶🌹
Oh yes! You are so cute...Desi doesn't like anybody I date!!!! Happy new week!!!
I’m 76 now and love all your wardrobe hints!!! Thanks!
Hi Susan, Great video. Wearing the right colors is so important and it doesn't have to cost a lot. Good point about not wearing dull cardigans and wearing form fitting shorter jackets. . Having the right hairdo is also important. Get your hair done more often too!
