- This is part 184 of the series (Boxes 162-163 for Series 3 and Boxes 18-19 for Series 4). I do plan on updating it from each nickel box I hunt from this point forward until the nickel coin collection is completed!
FYI - The Dansco Album does not have spots for some coins but we'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels (namely semi-key and key date nickels), Liberty V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and our eyes open for some valuable Nickels!

Interesting that 1950-D nickels have roughly the same mintage as modern W quarters and were just as sought after back then as the quarters are now.

Always test the 1946 Jefferson nickels they have found several struck on silver planchets recently

I got about 10 in a box
Just got t-boned leaving my local coin shop:( first time going there happy about the silver sad about car... but yay silver. Over paid to get a birthday round 😂😂 but the ping of 90% is absolutely amazing compared to 40% or clad like omg almost makes me forget about the car accident I was just in( wasent horrible and everyone is fine except my car:( hers took no damage besides the plate holder) 🙃 anyways thought I'd share my little story about my first time at a coin shop lol
Ps. Got 2 of my favorite coins slq are amazing sad they only had some good and very good there was hoping for an au or at least xf but happy with them non the less, also picked up a nice xf 1899 o morgan

The 1952S looks like it might be a Hobo Nickel. It's hard for me to tell , though, I have trouble seeing my screen.

Hey Rob is the 1893-O Morgan Dollar rare it’s graded it was given to me by my sadly past great grandfather he said it’s worth a lot is it and if it is do you want to buy it and I have that penny being checked out by an expert

It was in a nickel album I bought at a pawn shop. I always check the coins for varieties and sure enough... BOOM!

Great hunt! The other day I found my first 1942-D, two silvers, a 1913 type 2 buffalo, and a heavily worn 1897!!!!! V nickel. My oldest find yet. Just 12 days after I found my first ever V nickel too.

I just got $56 in nickles and $80 in pennies .. customer wrapped. So far the nickels are good. The pennies are over 50% copper
