Want to see how I train a working sheepdog?

I am a sheepdog trainer in Ireland. I train dogs for trials and competetition as well as for work. I train sheepdogs but the principles are the same for training cattle dogs
I have a page on Patreon that people can subscibe to for a small monthly fee and follow dogs that i am.training. I committ to making two training videos a month (and sometimes more) to explain how I understand communicating various the parts of sheepdog training to the dog that I am working on and also how i fix the faults in them
They are all working border collies and range in range in age from puppies of 4 months to 3 or 4 year old dogs.
I was influenced fundamentally by ideas from Ray Hunt and Bart Bellon. Bart introduced me to operant conditioning and indirect reward and that helped me alot to understand the ideas that i had been using in training dogs.

@@ianmcdonald3053 back home, thankfully- got a half dozen sheep and a guardian dog a few months ago, and now installing some fence. Attended a local trial last fall which I enjoyed, but still haven’t found the pup for me just yet. Hope to do so this year sometime.
