Two things that caught my eye;
- The top of the box said 'Classics' as in the plural, not Classic. Does this mean there are more products to come?
- That same area features similar graphic art to the Switch, so they'll look awesome on a store shelf together.

I think that I kinda like the NES Classic Edition better than the regular NES because the small console didn't malfunction and you have to open the lid, insert the game pak to the console and close the lid. That is fantastic!
I've mentioned this before, but I seriously recommend the Mayflash NES/SNES to WII Adapter. It should work with the NES classic edition and should solve the cable length problem since you'd be using an actual NES controller which is far longer. The kicker is it's within the same price range as a second controller for the NES classic edition.
This, then Super Mario Run, THEN NINTENDO SWITCH???

It's funny, I had thought about how it'd be cool for them to include a fold-out poster, but I was picturing the classic "Now You're Playing with Power" glass-shatter poster updated with screens of the included games, rather than the ROB/Duck Hunt poster that doesn't seem nearly as relevant.
Although, the NES Mini looks so small you could probably display the R.O.B. Amiibo alongside it and it'd be nearly to scale.
I really wish that controller cord were a bit longer.

I can't believe I am this excited to pick up my NES mini tomorrow.Especially considering I can just emulate them all if I wanted right now on my laptop. I read and seen on other videos that they didn't include a power supply but they may only include one for the US plugs and not the ones we use in Ireland. Luckily I have a plug here. Thanks for the info!

Also, my mom is gonna play this with me and she doesn't even like video games. She just wants to replay mario, Zelda, and castlevania with me who's only ever beaten one nes game being mario 1 and played through some Zelda 1.
Honestly, I am so hyped for this!! I dont care that much about the graphics for these games so I love this! I am so glad my dad is buying this for me along with an extra controller so we can both play! I am amazed at how cheap it is honestly!

alawey vc 87 I know but I'm pretty sure it isn't included in the NES classic, I can't remember seeing it. Either way The allstars pack would but a plus since I do enjoy the SNES style they put on the original Mario and 3 along with the American version of 2.
+GameXplain Curiously, do the lengths of the HDMI and power cords in any way compensate for the length of the controllers? I've been wondering this ever since hearing about the dismally short cords. : / I sit only six feet away from my 32" HDTV, and even I'm concerned about distances.

RassilonTDavros I believe so, but only for the original game graphic style I think, because for the others you have to use the shoulder buttons to use some of moves.
You can, but you won't be able to spin jump in World and New U. The buttons also may both be jump buttons with the game's control scheme, though.
AceGreenLegend but you can change the scheme to your liking. It just sucks that it doesn't work with Smash cause you can't make the d-pad to anything else than it already is.
if that cord is a microUSB, that might mean the Switch could use it, too

The 3 footer kills it for me. You either have to have like a 6-9 foot long HDMI to get the console far enough from the TV, or you're sitting up right against the TV. Original controller had a crazy long cord.

This little system is really cool and was a shining moment for people wanting to play these classic games and Nintendo did one better and also made a SNES classic a few years later

A little off-topic for an unboxing video but the one main question that's been bugging me is about the controller: Nintendo advertised that you can use it with NES Virtual Console games on the Wii U by plugging it into a Wii remote. Does it register as a Classic Controller that could potentially be used with other games or does it register as a unique controller that is only usable with the NES VC games? I ask because I was hoping that I would be able to use this bad boy for the Wii U version of Shovel Knight.

That logo on top looks very much in the style of the Switch Logo. Nintendo seems to be trying to really establish some brand consistency.

Should work if your monitor has HDMI or you have an HDMI to DVI adapter, though for the latter option, there will be no sound
