- The full Drive & Sound of the facelifted 2013 Jaguar XF 2.2 D with 200hp Diesel and 450Nm of torque. The probably two best things about this car are the looks (interior and exterior) as well as the 8-speed transmission (ZF). Allthough this premium sedan is priced slightly below BMW or Mercedes it is more special and people turn their heads everywhere you appear. The 8-speed allows high Autobahn speeds with a low consumption at the same time, I had it at around 6.3 liter D / 100 km for two days of driving. Had a 2.2 200ps chipped to 248bhp for 2 yrs now and it's fantastic especially coming from Mazda's. i have the last run out model 2015 R sport black edition with 41k mls and sounds great for a diesel. cheap camera's always make noises louder than they are. Mine's on 20" rims, Full 18 way adjustable seats and Meridian surround sound with heated screen etc. Love it every time I drive it and still looks like new. Find a good one and you wont be disappointed imo

Ich habe mir den schon 3 mal gemietet. Arbeite selber bei AVIS seit 8 Jahren. Aber den XF-S mit 275 PS DIESEL! Richtig schönes Auto! :) Macht Spaß.
I have a 200hp 2.2d and the only way that you could hear that engine noise on startup is to have your head under the bonnet. It was like the reviewer was trying to put people off the car. I love mine and it's much quieter than that.

Totaly agree mine is ok too 2.2 i dont drive around with my head out of the window listening for diesel engine noises i wouldnt hear it if the radio was on
i have a 2009 XF Supercharged Jaguar. she is pretty, and fast. Not to mention prestigious.

The next generation XF will be 100% aluminium, with Jaguar 4 cylinder diesels. The current ones are from Ford. Not bad to get 230kmh (143mph) from a small diesel engine.
As a Brit I'm glad to see they finally dragged Jaguar into the current decade. Looks great.

Yes, maybe it does not transport the bristish spirit as a XJ still does today, but think of the same car with green exterior and beige interior and this would be a totally different Impression. Yes, it is not as sporty as a BMW or Audi and does not have the Quality of an Mercedes, but considering that it is (at least in Germany) the cheapest of the premium cars it's still a good deal! My opinion.

Ciao Francesco , devi solo fare la manutenzione ordinaria , filtri olio , gasolio , e sostituire l'olio motore ogni 15000chil. Per il resto non ti dà il mimo problema , il 2200 è fantastico . A14000 chil. ho sostituito i 4 dischi forati dei freni 1400euri , il filtro del condizionatore 300euri e la revisione del del compressore clima 600 euri , in 9 anni di auto ...cosa vuoi di più 👍..

Hi Kedar, you didnt ask me but i also ask your question to myslef since 1 year. i am driving bmw for a long time and cant say anything negative about bmw. i also made many test drives with XF and i can say that there are big differences. XF is very elegance, beautiful and just a few ppl drives but everybody loves it. But it is not a technological car like bmw. navigation system is very bad, the graphics are old. There is no i drive system and touch screen is also not useful while driving. BMW has every kind of technology but a lot of ppl drive it and you see a bmw in every corner. But i think i will buy a XF.

I had two 2.2D XF's and found the engine noise intrusive around town. Not bad at all on the motorway. The worst aspect was the constant gear changing and the roughness of the engine at low RPM. It just isn't a convincing luxury car experience with that powertrain. Very competent though and good performance if you keep your foot down.
Yes but no luxury car in same segment comes near. I am comparing to f10 bmw and Mercedes w212 e250 and e200

utter bollocks 😳mine is fantastic even better than my mercedes c220 i have to pull a caravan cos i wouldnt put a towbar on my xf it would spoil its supercar looks xf premium luxury 2.2 - 2013 . IT dose everything it says it will do, and so reliable 8 speed auto box still pulling strong 172000 miles fantastic ( tip for anyone fully sinthetic engine oil spring and autum if you want to keep it going without to much bother)

till date i have driven 3 jaguar ,f pace ,xf ,xjl all these speedometer shakes very badly when goes above 100km speed i dont know why

Erik in Minnesota I have a 3.0 Petrol XF. I want to buy a diesel XF because of the fuel economy. But when I hear the Diesel engine I don’t want to buy it anymore. 😂

Well with Opel as an exeption they are actually very reliable. Also very safe and sporty. The safest Supercars in the world come from Porsche, they doesnt even make the Euro Ncap test, because they think it is the wrong testcriterias, since Sportscars usally dont crash at 50mph but at Topspeeds. Besides i see far more german cars that still look nice after 400000 km ..also if you check the TÜV rating on long based terms they are often in the topranks. ... IS not the first years that (continued)
Sounds a but rough for a modern diesel engine
In reality, the diesel noise 2.2 is much lower than what we hear in this video. I own such a car and I can say that the engine is only audible during hard acceleration.
xf 2011 xf2013 then 2014 then 2015 then 2017? only design differents ?

+Kumar Kaur no, xf 2011 had no 4 cylinder, but just 6 and 8 cylinder 3 liter motors with 211, 241 and 275 ps. After the facelift in 2012, xf has now also 4 cylinder, 2.2 liter motors with 190 and 200 ps.
A tutti i.possessori di XF 2200 , non vendetela , sta pigliando piede ed è molto richiesta 👍👍,hanno dei motori pazzeschi non hanno mai nulla , quelle nuove non le vuole nessuno , nessuno si fida più di quei motori 😔.

+ManagerArinc du kannst selber eine grenze feststellen. Bei mir z.B 130 da ich manchmal die Geschwindigkeitsgrenze in Autobahn vergesse .

I have a 2013 Jag. Sportbrake 2.2 d 200 hp. , These are the for features who suck. 1) the engine noise is to loud in the car (at high revs). 2) Sat Nav suck, you can 't drive and manipulate it at the same time. 3) Wind noise overall.. 4) Standard stereo comes from a Lada or something..? Horrible noise. Anybody has other..? Let me now!

The horrible noise from the engine, especially on the high speed, like in a tank, or train ..... fucken rubbish, surely because it is a diesel engine !
I used to drive a Skoda Octavia 2l benzin, it was so quiet, smooth, beautiful car to drive on a long distances, on autobahn too, and in a city you could not hear the engine sound.
Fuck the expensive cars, Jag, bmw etc. now i am going to buy an electric Tesla, 4 sec to 100km/h, and absolutely quiet, quiet, quieeeeeeet elegant car !!!!
