Joe was a big influence on me when I met him at the Brooklyn Banks contest as a 15 year old kid. He was very always very supportive and encouraging. When his pro model came out it was the only deck I rode, and when I ran into him at a demo in upstate NY he was so shocked and happy to see I was riding his board. Great to see him still doing his stuff!

On this day, I took first place street division 13-15. It's the largest trophy I ever received and of course, I still have it!
