    I watched these 5 videos and bought your book because your lessons are so instructive and your paintings are an inspiration. I have been painting since early 2021 (flowers, leaves) but recently began painting landscapes, houses, buildings while traveling. I have tended to overwork my paintings because I get nervous and start painting over what I’ve done and the result is flat. You’ve shown me how to paint buildings and skies in one go. This is the lesson I needed and you’re the only one to explain and show it clearly. Thank you so much!

    Dear Andrew, I am also a beginner. I love your style. I tried a few before, and all sorts of techniques and tricks, but your way seems so true to me. I am certain this suits me the best. I live too far, in Transylvania, so not really a chance to attend one of your workshops, but your videos are great and I start practicing using these. I also your way of alternating very watery washes with bold strokes and very concentrate paint as well. Thank you for these wonderful videos. By the way, I have just bought your book in pdf format. This series of 5 videos is great. It gives me a chance to breathe between them! I have a request, if you are looking for ideas. The sky gives me the most problems, in color and brush strokes and placement. Can you please do a video of just skies? I've painted this twice and both times my sky is the part I struggle with most. It's too big, there are too many colors, it feels anchorless because unlike the houses and trees and bushes I can't figure out where to go. Or where to stop...

    Hi. I am an absolute beginner and your tutorials are helping me a lot. Thanks a lot for these tutorials.
    I have only one question. I have noticed that while mixing paint, you dip your brush directly into the fresh paint pots. But doesn't it pollute/ruin the fresh paint pots?

    • @AndrewPittArtist
      @AndrewPittArtist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, you are quite right, the paint does get contaminated a bit with other colours but I hope you see that it doesn’t really matter. Too much water makes the paint hard to control. Good luck with your painting.

    Dear Andrew, thank you for your efforts in putting those tutorials together, these are so educational and useful with so much insights, thank you! I absolutely admire your style and work. I am an absolute beginner but I so much like to learn to paint in watercolour. I came to realise that my biggest problem is the lack of understanding of how to use watercolour. Water vs. pigment quantity vs. quantity on the brush, etc. These are really basic topics but I was wondering if you have anything helpful for people like me :)? I must have tried maybe ten times the sky and I can't get even close to anything representing a sky. Either the wash is very light or dark or mixing badly or mixing leading to cauliflower effects.Thank you!

    • @AndrewPittArtist
      @AndrewPittArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I paint regularly my paint doesn’t really dry up. I replenish individual colours as they get used up. It is important to always have a good supply of fresh paint.

    Did you wet the sky again before applying the color, or is the paint wetter than the paper? Thank you so much for these. I think my brain is learning so much more from the shorter segments, and I can stop and take notes on each one.

    • @AndrewPittArtist
      @AndrewPittArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I never wet the paper before doing the sky. All my skies are painted on dry paper. I start at the top and work down, changing the colour and paint consistency as I work towards the horizon. There are more sky demonstration videos on my website, www.andrewpitt.co.uk
