for me this is the most advance civic. from the high revving vtec k20 to the exterior is the most good looking civic. the new 2016 civic seems to me like trying to hard to catch up to the turbo cars.

It might drop a bit in price or it might not, FD2R's prices is almost stabilized in Japan and as for Mugen RR, this one would only go up in price because it's a collector's car.. After all, this is the last NA Type Rs we will ever get.. It's turbo, turbo and more turbo from now on D:

I never felt that body of Type-R was overly aggressive. I felt it was perfect and drove amazing. I would prefer this one over other older Type-R models.
You can get that body kit easily anywhere. And they aren’t even too expensive. I’m pretty sure some guy has taken a stock FD2 and built it up to look like a clone performance and visually.
The best looking civic ever made would love to get my hands on one. Looks a bit like the Mitsubishi evolution ? That's the best car I've owned was a good daily car 4 doors plenty of room and a heap of power and great handling
The intro says, CTR FD2R only available in Japan ... correction please.. add Malaysia to that, the only country in the world outside Japan where FD2R officially available sold by Honda.. As a malaysian , we are the envy of the world at that time.. Thanks to long history of Honda and Japan in general with Malaysia, stem from excellent relationships and respect between two countries..
For those who is bitching about the price and honda and ricer blah blah, if you want the fastest ride then just go with the fastest one that you affordable. But is you need something special then I would definitely recommend the Mugen RR is one of those special things.

Of course, nothing like this was offered here in the U.S. But at least we do have the new " TYPE R" So I'm thank full for that!😸
It's a bit misleading when he keeps referring to the FD2R as just FD2 as the 114kw civic sport non R is an FD2. Which is the reason we in Australia are not allowed to import an FD2 type R as our sport version is the same chassis code and therefore not allowed to be imported as it is already sold here technically 😥
They're going from 85.000,- Euro+ on the auctions in Japan these days...^^ Sure they are rare but I would prefer a normal FD2 Type R who comes around 25.000,-€ seeing the Mugen RR more in the place of 'the most collectable Civic' than one you could/would drive out often than standing in a garage. :P
I am glad that i live in HK cuz Mugen RRs are less rare than an E46 M3 manual, no joke there are 5 for sale and 13 sales records while for E46 M3, i can only find 3. I want ONE!
The best type r ever made. I fo feel the fn2 was unfairly seen as too soft compared to fd2, its suspension was actually just about right for U.K. roads. Having driven an fd2 I’d actually say it’s far to hard for U.K. roads however that would be my only complaint of it, everything else was awesome.
I've owned a jgm dc5 since 2009... nothing but problems from the 3rd gear grind to the running lean cel. I will not buy a Honda/Acura again. I should have bought a s2000 instead, imo it's the best Honda ever produced.
Such a shame the FD2 type r didn't officially come to the UK; and I believe it was actually made in the UK! Remember litchfield imported a bunch at an on the street price of about £22k if memory serves me right.

On most tracks, the FK2 and FK8 won’t touch the RR. Even the regular FD2 Type-r spanked the FK2.

This should have got the normally aspirated K20 that went in the Ariel Atom Mugen; 270bhp at 8600rpm and 188 lbft
