Thank you so much Nick! I so needed that! I’m back from a 2 1/2 year break of training consistently in bjj for 9 years and trying to do a double leg last week sure was painful on my knee, thanks for the tip! I also appreciate when you throw in clips of the tournaments where you used the technique you’re teaching 💪😎
we literally drilled double legs at todays training just a couple of hours ago and I kept thinking to myself how bad my knees felt because of the drop 💀💀
I've done this on bigger guys plenty of times. Depends on the size difference though. If you''re super small, this may not be the best option against a larger person.
You should never teach to reach with lead leg arm. Emphasize the first reach with the trail leg arm, block with your head and only then snap with the lead leg arm.

Damn. I was looking to take down that have bad knees. 😢
Coach, is it better to shoot a double leg without dropping down your knee?
Depends on what setup you're trying and what your skill with takedowns.
how do you get a taller/ bigger opponent to get down to that point?

@@fernandomachado1728 😅yes!
I first thought he meant taking down people with bad knees 😂
Would this work on untrained individuals who are taller and heavier than you?
