I make my requirements super easy. Nothing over 6 miles and nothing under $6 ($6.50 on weekends) I never hang around low end fast-food places like Micky D's or Taco Bell, I hang around mid level to go food places like 5 guys burgers or Chipotle instead.
I just moved to a different city, and the dashing environment here is completely different. Huge tips that I’ve never had in my old city, and consistently good orders. Already have raised my AR by 7% in a few days. In just 2 days and 9 hours of dashing, I’ve made about $28/hour active time, and nearly $17/hour total dash time. That’s more than I make at my 9-5 breaking my back doing physical labor 😂
I worked for the first time tonight I put 116 miles on my car, made $87 after 7 hours so after putting the gas bas in the car I made less than $10 an hour. I made $47 the first two hours the last five hours doordash had me driving way too far and if I declined I want down into the 30's AR
I had to adjust my strategy. It used to take me 8-10 hours a day to make $100 while keeping my AR up over 50% and often over 70%. Now that IDGAF about AR I make $100 in 3/4 hours. but I'm here for trying to raise AR but never at a loss. Detroit MI and surrounding burbs here. Love ya Bentley!

That’s a great tip. I usually shoot for $1 per mile minimum, I don’t accept slow restaurants, and I won’t go to certain neighborhoods. I also try not to move too far out of my zone. My AR is low though. I’m going to use your tip to get it back up.
Bro. I use to be great with a 11% AR. if u are that low today. U are FINISHED. They won’t send u a damn thing. That’s if ur lucky enough to even be online able to accept orders
I live in a town with two colleges so there's a hefty amount of not only competition from other Dashers, but also a ton of orders with zero tips that I would be crazy to take. Hourly dash wage is only 10 bucks per hour and with so many orders with no tips I would be sacrificing a lot to dash that way. Recently DD reset my AR for some unknown reason, and so for about 2 weeks I was blessed with priority orders. I try my best to take orders and be flexible, focusing primarily on the idea that as long as an order is $1.50-$2 per mile then it should be fine as far as profits go. I've learned all the tricks, I know which restaurants are blacklisted, which ones I can take a bit of a risk on with mileage because I know they will have the order ALREADY READY as we say B) , and I've managed to master paying attention to the dropoff to know when an order is going to take me to death traps (there are some sections of the zone where for some reason they thought it was a good idea to only put one set of roads in and out of the city so if traffic is heavy you're just dead in the water) or when it's going to land me near another hot spot in my town. I don't blindly chase hot spots and I know where to hang out to increase my chances of snagging big restaurant orders. I've also confirmed that 9 times out of 10 in my market, when an order says "total may be higher"....it isn't. Doesn't matter if it's Papa John's with 5 items. It's gonna be 1 pizza, 1 2-liter of pepsi, breadsticks, and some dips. Chipotle apparently thinks it's funny to list utensils as an item lol So unless the order is a $1 per mile or more, I just won't risk it. I've been driving for just under 3 months now and I regularly earn $25-30 per hour, managing to keep Food Delivery as my main and only source of income. How? Multi-apping. I know it's frowned upon and risky, but between almost never being able to get on DD's schedule consistently, and getting bombarded constantly with upside down and $2 orders. Doordash just doesn't cut it. I had a full hour just tonight where I was online, I was in the zone, and Doordash gave me like 5 orders, all of them obscenely bad (I promise I'm not picky, I can take a hit if it's been too long without an order but there is a limit here) while UberEats managed to earn me like $26 just from Whataburger orders. The trick is balance. I use Doordash, UberEats, and Grubhub. You get three algorithms looking for orders instead of just the one, cast a much wider net to hopefully get a decent or even heaven forbid a GOOD order, and once you nab one you set the losers of the race on standby and make the delivery. Then once you're about 3-5 min away from dropping off the food, you bring them back in so that hopefully you can get another order lined up right as you're about to have nothing to do. This keeps me rolling and staying busy means I'm making money. Just this week I've made $300/day every single day, even getting $350 on Monday. I work between 10-12 hr shifts of course because the earning goal is more important than sticking to an 8 hr shift (I got bills to pay) but that means I'm averaging $30 hours more and more often. I definitely lost my point in this wall of text lol but I just wanted to share my experience and what I've learned I guess? Because you've been a huge influence on my success and I remember BINGING your videos while I was driving those first few weeks. You've taught me so much man and you're a big reason I'm able to stay in the game and keep my house and my car even after losing my job unexpectedly 3 months ago. So thank you, Bentley!
Only good tips coming out of a college is when mom or dad is paying and tipping least it’s this way in my town lucky to get 3 to 4 deliveries in my town per hour say there all only $2.25 that’s only $10 per hour these kids expect us to be making are you kidding me? Zero tip shouldn’t be a thing there should be a minimum tip amount that has to be selected no max tho pay should be based on exact time it takes to drive to store wait in line at $2.25 for 1 delivery if we as drivers have to do any waiting we instantly loosing even at a $5 tip between the time it takes to drive to the store waiting for there orders that are never ready usually 15 minutes wait at every store by the time it’s all said and done that order for $2.25 took 30 minutes to complete at $2.25 how on earth are we supposed to make just the gas to cover these deliveries?? Especially when you live in the only zone for 100 miles something has to change in Sault Sainte Marie Michigan it’s rough we don’t get offered hourly just base pay up here
So 2 deliveries at $2.25 each it takes 1 hour to complete that is only $4.50 per hour come on people really???? You expect people to pick up your food wait in line or shop your groceries for $2.25 to me this is crazy and standards need to be met???
I live and dash in Virginia, and will avoid certain areas because I sometimes get taken on Toll roads. Other ways I found to make more per hour is dashing on home game nights for baseball/sports, and also after getting and verifing that I have a pizza bag, that was kind of a game changer as well.
I've tried that "earn by time " and spent too much time driving, wasting gas, making very little money. It only works if there is peak and promo pay, because you get a lot of bad orders with this option which is why DD created it, I believe. But everything is speculative and market dependent but here in Pittsburgh/Monroeville it sucks at least for me. " Earn by offer" is working great for me, I decline a lot of bad orders and take mostly low miles, high pay and consistently make my monetary goals and not wasting my gas and time driving to these "dead" places that are way out of my zone and not getting paid to come back. Of course, my AR is suffering but I'm happier, less stressed and making money, versus having a high AR and being broke. And these accesses to high paying orders, what is the mileage associated with these??? I've had and seen some and they are mileage and gas killers...
Peak pay is irrelevant. When peak is offered during the day, my zone gets FLOODED with Dashers from God knows where. So I generally just go somewhere else until the peak is over. Also, I generally do earn by time. Since where I live orders are almost always going far af, I'm at least almost always getting $10 per run. I do around 15 - 25 deliveries a day, I'm not complaining about the $ I make. Plus here and there I get some solid catering orders that makes up for anytime DD plays me like a fool.
You said something that made me wonder.......if you choose earn by time, are you saying that those orders are all LOCAL to you??? We always do per order, and earn $25-$30 an hour, BUT we get orders many times, especially after 9pm that take us way out to the rural areas, and the app doesn't even work out there, so it is a HUGE pain to have to contact support when we get to where we have a signal again.
This is why DD raised AR %. Desaturate some zones let's gooooo. On a Tuesday at 3pm there shouldn't be enough dashers out in force to handle Superbowl Sunday 🤣
I don't know about your area Koop, but our "peak pay" times are almost always 11:30pm to 1:30am, or 5:30am to 7:30am. Times that we are asleep. We did TRY to do peak pay in a nearby town that was $5 peak pay almost all day on a Saturday. It said it was "BUSY", so we went. We literally did not get ONE order at all. The town is dead as a doornail, and is a super small town with only a few restaurants. Never again. Drove 45 minutes to waste our time. We dashed also in another area at the very end of our zone that said "VERY BUSY" and peak pay of $2 during our time. We got TWO orders, that's it. These are small towns, and there were no other Dashers around that we ever saw. It was ridiculous. A bit envious of those who live in large cities since they don't need a good AR, and can afford to just pass orders by that we have to take in our small town, or we will be unable to schedule. We HAVE to be TD'ers, or we're screwed here.

I am newer at DD. I really appreciate your informative content. My AR is just above 50%. I did not know at first about the PAUSE feature. I choose by miles and by time. I am in NE Ohio and I have gotten some strange order requests. One day it was $2.25 for 1 single cookie!! It was going about 6 miles. Another time someone ordered Arby's from a location that was 30 minutes away, when there was another Arby's down the street from them. A lot of these orders I am thinking..."Are you serious right now??'' I can only drive in the daylight (no night vision) and peak pay here is only offered in the middle of the night usually when I cannot dash.
Dash by time is sometimes $17-19 here in West Maui on off peak times. At dinner, it goes down to $12-13. I dash by time in the afternoon & per order at night. Better money in the afternoon than if you dash per order. Orders are slower coming in by time & tips are way lower. I think I'm in a unique spot, though (tourism usually keeps the tips higher on average). @Bently...no minimizing what you do with that word 'cheesy ok 😊You got that plaque behind you because you rock & you help people rock their dash. Thank you!! You have been a part of my hustle since day 1 & I'm still going because of you, the freedom & the money.

I ain't gonna lie, Bentley. I'm not planning to do this in a year's time....I'm working the content and got good ideas supported by the equipment and younger fam for tech support ❤❤❤ Making videos is much more fun than DD.
Working OKC here. I get consistent orders from 8am-3pm. If I want to earn extra money or don't hit my daily goal ($120) I'll tack on a 5pm-9pm shift. Peak pay is only ever 1am-3am but the offers are few and far between. Places I avoid: Sonic, because they send dashers as soon as the order comes in. I've never had an order that didn't get close to 10 minute wait, even cups of ice. IHOP on weekends, every table is occupied and there's always a line waiting for a table. To make it worse the dasher pickup is right next to the host station. I know everyone hates Popeyes and Wendys but at least the ones I go to here are alright.
Hi, I am also in the OKC areas. I have a few qs if you don't mind: 1/ What are your $/mile ratio? 2/ Where are the "hot zones" usually? Thank you and have a great day.
Start taking screen shots of added to route orders. Look at how far extra you have to drive, after you drop your first order make sure the 2nd order is the right distance they sent you. There app lies and tells you it's like 800 meters more bur will end up being like 2km. It's B.S. and should not be allowed.
Raised DD from 41% to 61% in only a few weeks. $7-$8 orders have been coming in left and right❤ I look at the pay then mileage. Who wants to go 13.1 miles for $4? Nope
Also wanted to add that sometimes accepting and completing bad orders will put you in a good situation. It’s happened a few times where I accepted one I really didn’t wanna do. Then as soon as I completed it, I was able to accept a stacked order of 2 that was worth almost 20 bucks. So there’s that
Things I Look at before accepting an order: First is what is the pay per mile. Second what direction is the order going in the city. Third what restaurant. Seeing as how we can't just unassign orders now that we also want high Completion rate take into consideration wait times are just going to be normal and stick it out. I pause my dash after I drop off in an area where I don't want to be so I can work my way back to the area I like then go online. Half of my city area is like high crime type areas so I don't want to be around there and the roads are very very poor. Overall I drive more miles and now use more fuel to get higher AR. Not fun...Dashing used to be fun for me
I averaged $25/hour yesterday over 3 hours. I do this 10-15 hours a week. It’s a good side hustle, but while you’re doing this I would improve your knowledge and skills to make yourself more valuable in your full-time role. Who knows how long this will be around.
@@khoiz5894 I do pay by order, but I calculate by dividing how much I made by the number of hours I worked. When I open up the Dash screen on my iPhone, it has the option there to accept per order or by time.

I love DoorDash. I'm a sitting member of a council of Dashers in a big zone to bring ideas to DD for improvement. I'm even using my Batchlors to get on board the DD team because, well I owe them. I was able to finish school for now and have the best Christmas and soon after birthday for my daughter ever. Oh, if they give me a shot, failure is not in my vocabulary
so I am in Georgia and I work the afternoon into the late night. during that dinner time (5-9) I work per order and stay pretty consistent. but in the late hours(10 -2) i switch to hourly. I have an AR of 70-75% and during dinner time get awesome orders but during the late night people don't really tip as much and when I notice I decline 3 or more in a row it's time for me to get off the pay per order. I switch to hourly and usually still hit my target of 15-20/hr. honestly hourly is great when you know you are going to only get mostly small orders but i will give this warning, Hourly always gives you the jobs no one else will take. So I get a ton of jobs that dont tip.
I like this. I dash in Detroit. Late at night, the only things open are drive - thru only restaurants. Sometimes I'll wait in the drive thru for a half hour for a single order. THIS is when pay by time shines. Instead of base pay for one order, you get paid hourly for your time sitting in line.
@@traditionends exactly there is only like 5 places open and long lines.. but in my market it's like $0.26 / min for hourly so Im taking my time not even worried. As long as I get there when they ask and drop off when they ask it's all good.

I HATE KNOWING THAT THERS AN AR !!!! What's up Bentley thanks for all your videos. Help out a lot. One point I would like to make. I hate knowing that there's an AR!!! I start to think bad things about the system and what I'm doing or what I'm not doing or does it like what I'm doing? I get so in my head, lol it's funny. How do you deal with this aspect? I know I know you're gonna say I make sure I do everything right. It's not that easy you know lol anyway, this is lighthearted hopefully taking that way. I'm getting back to dashing. Oh one more question if you have time lol, how about a video on dashing in rural areas?- out in Reno county Maryland. There is quite a difference.
I'm in the Wake Forest area, outside Raleigh, NC. I will definitely NOT be using the pay per hour feature! My market is crap. soooo many 3 and 4 dollar orders going 10 to 15 miles. No way could pay per hour make up for that. You only get paid from accepting order until drop off. As it is when I take good paying orders that far out I do not get any other orders until I return to my hang out area. We have a lot of areas around that are pretty rural, and there are no restaraunts out there to pick up an order, so you have to drive all the way back to pick up another order. In order for you to get the pay per hour you can only decline 1 order per hour. As it is I decline like 10 to 15 per hour...at least! People here do not tip well. Peak pay is very rare here, and when it happens, literally I get no orders. Peak pay is usually only 1-2 dollars, so if I do get an order, it is still usually crap. I also drive a mini van (the only vehicle I can dash in, and we have no funds or available money for extra insurance), so I have to factor in my lower gas miles per gallon. DD is grasping at straws at this point. They have instituted a 6 order challenge, where you get $9 if you complete 6 orders in a row. Like I said, my area is crap, and that would mean a ton of 3 dollar orders, making me pay out of pocket for the milage, so getting an extra $1.50 per order would NOT make me money to live off of. What DD really needs to do is tell customers that their 5 or 6 dollar delivery fee doesn't actually go to their driver. Their driver will only get 2 dollars of that. Now, if DD started charging their customers based on how far they are from the store, and the drivers *actually* got that money, then I would start taking a ton of orders. Until then I will continue with waiting it out, waiting for a profitable order to come across my path.

My normal job is a midnight shift job. I'll dash on nights off since I'm awake anyway. My area gets peak pay until 1:30 AM. I do earn by time on these late night orders because I usually get sent to a McDonald's that is agonizingly slow. If you're going to spend 30 minutes in the drive thru line you want earn by time.
yes! Its very similar here in Detroit. After 10pm almost the only options are drive-thru only, and there's ALWAYS a long line. Easily 30 minutes for each order

Exactly @4:56 Just 5 factors to consider, main 2 factors are miles, and items if shopping. There is hardly any info they show anymore to accept the order... the pay, miles, pickup address and drop off address is all, except for item count on shopping runs.
In Toledo Ohio peak pay is during bad weather or after 11:00p-5 or 6am. Miles to dollars ratio are important to me. I have not tried earned by time but will. My AR is usually in the 80’s.

I deliver in Highland Creek, not far from Charlotte. I started rethinking my boycotted restaurant list, and some have gotten better, but some are still trash. I don't do apartments because I have no feeling in my feet and have fallen coming down the stairs before. Apartments are a no go, unfortunately they are the shortest distance from the restaurant. I work the hell out of the peak pay. The bottom line is, I don't care who pays me as long as I get paid. I just had the best Monday in over 2 years, I made $210 before deductions. I stopped doing this full time about 6 months ago.

yes the pay by hour seems to vary state to state. When it was first introduced in Michigan it was very low. After Michigan raised their minimum hourly wage, doordash was forced to bump up their hourly.
Everything you say is A1 stuff! There are zones in my area that have $18 pay by hour. The only problem I've had is in a week of doing it, I got 36 orders straight with no tip. That's fine, at $18, cuz I have arthritis in my hips and I'll just walk my normal pace instead of killing myself on pay by order. Also, during peak time, I'll make double that, so I try to schedule pay by order during peak time and pay by hour during dead time. I just really wish doordash would allow those of us with verifiable physical limitations to filter out orders we can't do and have it not hurt our AR.
DD isn’t accepting new drivers in my area, so there’s just no way to make decent money now. Peak pay & peak hours are SATURATED with drivers. If I don’t bust my butt doing 13 shop orders to earn top dasher, I’m stuck making about $20 during lunch. My AR sits around 30% bc I literally can’t raise it without losing tons of money.

Columbus, Ohio .. 11a - 2pm and 5p - 9pm on a daily basis. I Have tried the Earn by Time and in my area that sucks for me. If the order is like 15 miles and it takes me 30 minutes or less to deliver it, I will only get $6 when (and there have been more times than not) there is are tips and peak pay isn't offered. So you will truly have to see what works for you and your area and then go from there. I do wonder sometimes if they are withholding are tips 🤔🤔but nonetheless I work better with Earn by Offer to 'er done...

What up B Coupe! I do this part time after full time job. Is there away to not do apartments? I have trouble getting up stairs with my bad feet, and it slows me down. When the offer comes to me i don't see the address to see if it's a apartment
Pay by time is not available in my market (NJ). I look at miles, pay and end location as well as restaurant. Depending on how much time I have or if it is [good busy] I will do all 2 mile orders but NOTHING upside down

Peak pay always pass my wallet. I am always looking at where I’ll end up and if it’s a big apartment complex (b/c they take more time to deliver than a house).😊
The problem I see is…even if I raise my AR it would only take a day or two for it to drop back down! The orders that are just too far for too little will just keep coming until my AR is down below 30% again…it’s a vicious cycle! What does your AR stay around? (I guess the best advice for some people is to just do the hourly rate)…I’m just not to that point yet! (What’s your AR average?)
Hasn't been a peak pay in my market for months except at like 11pm-5am and the only restauraunts that are open are fast food with night shift workers that are terrible. My market is actually just that bad right now it's hard to get the AR up. I mean I could do like 4 days in a row of EarnByTime but damn that'd be a rough few days

I look for the mileage and pay first off. If the mileage is over such as $4.00 for 6.5 miles I decline everytime. The only time I make an exception is if let's say it's a slower time, not rush, and the pay is high such as $15.00 for 16 miles, the reason being I would have been sitting anyways with nothing and maybe it would take 2 o8r 3 smaller orders to get to $15 and taken up as much or more time. But normally, the mileage must be under the dollar amount such as $8.00 for 6.7 miles or something like that. You have to be careful or you will lose money, but if it's a high paying order, it may be OK to extend the mileage a bit. That's how I see it.
In my area the only one I REFUSE to take right now is Taco Bell after 5PM when the nightshift comes on. I have done the earn by time in my area and its EXTREMELY random. I have had one active hour where I make 40 dollars and I have had 1 active hour where i have made 15 dollars....
how do you even find that option for hourly? my location kinda sucks. if you ride a moped, they give you orders that you actually cant even do legally. highways/freeways here dont allow mopeds on them so its a instant hit to the AR. and since this last update to the app, they been sending a lot of batch orders like this to me. ive gone from 85% -> 50% in less than a week and i definitely feel the effect of it. support does nothing.

The only way I think earn by time can be worth it is if you get paid for the active time and the time it takes to get back to a hot spot or back to your zone. I’ve had ear by time orders leave me 9 miles away from my zone and that’s all wasted time.
this will happen regardless. Earn by time is worth it where I live late at night, when the only options are drive-thru's with long lines and you'll be waiting 30 minutes for each order
I've been Dashing for at least 5 years now. It seems peak pay is the only good time to dash anymore. Even then, I'm going to get bad offers. DD didn't even offer peak pay on All-Star weekend in SLC. Lame.

Doordash is a joke don't waste your time trying to get your numbers up, not worth it. I decline all the time now and make the same less running around.
I can speak from my experience.. when my AR is below 50% i get jobs that average 5-6 dollars... when i got above that especially 65% or higher I see jobs that are $10-$15.. higher AR does give priority. but if you switch to hourly you will get a lot of the trash jobs but your AR will boost up fast.
@@barrydillard2130 yes because the algorithm has you trapped. It’s rigged that way. So after you let your AR go up and then you let it drop the algorithm will punish you by not sending you better offers because you’ve already shown yourself to be a sucker in raising your AR. It knows that you’re going to think you need to have that higher AR. Don’t give in tho! Don’t take unprofitable offers. PERIOD.
My city has been completely dead for the past two weeks and for the past year-and-a-half has been generally slower than I've seen in the past 5 years I have never seen a peak pay in my city except for on major holidays such as Thanksgiving New Year's Fourth of July my map for the past two weeks has been completely gray with showing only one hotspot and no red around it just the hotspot. I live in mid California and it seems like no one in my city is placing doordash orders anymore except for during the two hours of dinner time from 6 to 8 that being said with the amount of people that are doing doordash now it's just not even worth I have an acceptance rating of 75% or above and I'll be lucky if I make $70 and 7 hours.
I think I can be open with you. I love this video even though it’s hurting my every bit of my head because I do want to make more money and get in the game. You call $4.25 respectful? $2 tip = Disrespect $2.25 base pay = Disrespect That only adds up to a lot of disrespect! And peak pay is supposed to make it all better?!?!? PEAK PAY IS ALMOST NON EXISTENT!! Even with peak pay I’m not going to let myself be disrespected and miss out on a $10+ paying me $2+/mile
if your acceptance rate is less than 70%, someone else is going to get that $10 order. That's just how the algorithm works now. Its best to suck it up and keep that 70% AR. Once you're there, almost every order you're offered is a high-pay order. Its definitely worth the sacrifice to become part of the dasher upper class. Since I've hit 70%, my acceptance rate got even higher. I stopped getting so many low-pay orders. Now I'm up to 87% acceptance because I don't have to decline as much. Everything pays!
@@traditionends HELL NOO!!! My AR is UNDER 20% and I get plenty of high paying orders. The trick is to NEVER let your AR go up. Because then the algorithm will know you’re a sucker who is willing to believe their AR nonsense and take the trash offers to get your AR up. Once your AR is up you have to keep it there in order to keep getting any of the higher payouts. But it also means you have to accept some of the unprofitable trash. Otherwise if your AR drops the algorithm will stop sending you the high payouts because it knows you’re stupid and will get that AR back up. Don’t give in tho!! NEVER accept an offer that’s unprofitable and in case you don’t know what’s unprofitable I mean anything under $7 and anything not paying $2/mile
How do I change to hourly or whatever? Don't understand it. I am relatively new. Signed up with DD during pandemic, but, was sometimey due to anxiety, etc. Flash forward...re-activated my account and put more effort into this. Currently up to 50+ deliveries. Update: Still dashing, 63 deliveries! Perhaps this note is in the comments somewhere...contacted Dash Support about the by time vs by offer. In my area at least, this option is not avail until after 100 dashes. So that is my goal. To get an hourly rate would be great, like I said I am in a small town, with many dashers. But I don’t know why I selected per offer on platinum and it was only 2.50. Like I said for lucky anyway, weird
One thing I always wonder is this! When I get a bad order I just ignore it, I wait for the timer to hit zero. Does this effect the AR still? I have a 96% AR.

I’m made 9.00per hour last night for three hrs.One night I made 18-22.00 per hour, only for one hour the other night. Looks like somebody tipped three dollars later or something . Sorry but I retired! Not enough for me. Better just working at Walmart as employee.
I've been with Doordash for 2 years and I love the new hourly pay option. The biggest drawback is you could get an order that takes you out of your niche area but you can always pause your dash so you can drive back to your spot and then resume dash. But since now I'm getting paid for my time my stress level has dropped significantly. I used to get ancy waiting on orders thinking about how much time I was losing because of the restaurant being slow. But now, I sit back and relax and I look at it like I'm getting 10 - 15 minute paid breaks at $14/hr. That really adds up over a shift.
I make my requirements super easy. Nothing over 6 miles and nothing under $6 ($6.50 on weekends) I never hang around low end fast-food places like Micky D's or Taco Bell, I hang around mid level to go food places like 5 guys burgers or Chipotle instead.
So you decline many?? How is your AR
You gotta thank God for that Charity above all else. Glad you are doing better
What's your new city out of curiosity?
I took the advise from the other dasher’s and I’m doing pay by order now and I’m doing much better and mileage is low. Good luck in your new city.
Nice!

Get AR up asap because if 90% AR rolls out 1080 is otw.
...from a different job. Adapt or 1080
That’s a great tip.
I can second this as big facts. Ups to Bently!!
Are you struggling with low orders? There’s a solution to that now
@That_introvert_boy I want to know that solution. My AR is 21% .DD doesn't give me better order .and give me less order. I'm in Calgary, Canada.
Are you struggling with low orders? There’s a solution to that now
Exactly the same issue with me if I use pay by the hour.

Read mine I just wrote
Dash by time is sometimes $17-19 here in West Maui on off peak times. At dinner, it goes down to $12-13. I dash by time in the afternoon & per order at night. Better money in the afternoon than if you dash per order. Orders are slower coming in by time & tips are way lower. I think I'm in a unique spot, though (tourism usually keeps the tips higher on average).

I ain't gonna lie, Bentley. I'm not planning to do this in a year's time....I'm working the content and got good ideas supported by the equipment and younger fam for tech support ❤❤❤
Making videos is much more fun than DD.
I have a few qs if you don't mind:
1/ What are your $/mile ratio?
Not fun...Dashing used to be fun for me
same. the orders have been ridiculous as of late
I averaged $25/hour yesterday over 3 hours. I do this 10-15 hours a week. It’s a good side hustle, but while you’re doing this I would improve your knowledge and skills to make yourself more valuable in your full-time role. Who knows how long this will be around.
how do you switch to "pay by hours"?
@@khoiz5894 I do pay by order, but I calculate by dividing how much I made by the number of hours I worked. When I open up the Dash screen on my iPhone, it has the option there to accept per order or by time.

I've never dashed by the hour because my pay is so low but I'll try it when they have peak pay thanks!
yes the pay by hour seems to vary state to state. When it was first introduced in Michigan it was very low. After Michigan raised their minimum hourly wage, doordash was forced to bump up their hourly.

I'm in Springfield OH and it isn't a very lage city. We never see peak pay until late night early morning. I mean like 11pm to 4am
There is a large undeveloped area near me. I won’t do it until the developments have more lighting, etc.

This is great advice
Peak pay always pass my wallet. I am always looking at where I’ll end up and if it’s a big apartment complex (b/c they take more time to deliver than a house).😊
The problem I see is…even if I raise my AR it would only take a day or two for it to drop back down! The orders that are just too far for too little will just keep coming until my AR is down below 30% again…it’s a vicious cycle! What does your AR stay around? (I guess the best advice for some people is to just do the hourly rate)…I’m just not to that point yet! (What’s your AR average?)
We very rarely have peak pay & when we do it’s at 1 am!

That's how I see it.

how do you even find that option for hourly?
my location kinda sucks. if you ride a moped, they give you orders that you actually cant even do legally. highways/freeways here dont allow mopeds on them so its a instant hit to the AR. and since this last update to the app, they been sending a lot of batch orders like this to me. ive gone from 85% -> 50% in less than a week and i definitely feel the effect of it. support does nothing.
