I can't believe that your video features the place where my mother lived in Shamian 80 years ago. This is the beautiful red brick building in the beginning of your video. My grandfather was a customs officer and was one of the few Chinese allowed to live amongst Europeans in that area. He lived on the third floor on the left side of the building. We saw it 4 years ago and it was beautiful.
