I usually watch Crewe at night to see the Highlander Sleeper buts it's not the same with the 92s&mk5s. We had 86s&87s&90s and mk3s. We see the Daventry to Grangemouth.
Well as you know nothing stays the same on our railway, and I for one don't think the railway are anywhere as good as they used to be In the 80s Crewe Station was just amazing with the amount of traffic pasting through the station.
Great overnight selection there Mike, hopefully it wasn't too cold? Nice to see plenty of electric traction in use compared to the southern WCML. I believe the 86s are due to go by the end of March, so get then while you can.

yes i'm afraid you right Mike. I've been in the daytime and have had 3/4 hours without freight. been to friends 4 times passing Kingmoor and theres not much there either and it's very overgrown. I dont mind too much co's i did so much when in my 60/70 years of age and it was very good then.. I got loads of videos sitting in folders waitin for uploading. .I just cant spend the long hours on platforms these days. get tired and go home saying ''seen em all before'' lol Good for you , do it will you can. I do a lot on Trainz sim . have always loved model railways and building layouts and running trains ( 42 on my current layout) Trainz sim is sheer comfort and joy. Go steady mate. best wishes
It’s booked into platform 3 but I believe they always use that platform so people can walk straight out of the station without crossing the bridge.Christopher. Thank you for watching my video. Regards Mike.
@@antman09ful1 My pleasure.I travel the s and c from leeds to Carlisle then travel home to Hertfordshire first class in a pendolino. Surprised they don't put the freight on the s and c as they say freight trains weight damage the wcml.
@@antman09ful1 I've done plenty of overnights at Carlisle and mostly on a Friday night and although freight traffic has declined over the last few years it's not what it used to be, I find Friday night's is best. Keep up the good work.

Yes that is right, when I got into this hobby it was fantastic there in the 70s 80s a train every ten minutes overnight.

Good video. It’s a pity traffic has reduced…I remember doing a couple of all nighters there and seeing lots of class 81s on freight

They is a few freight working on the S & C but a lot less since we have no coal trains now.
