I wish Hollywood had given Peter Lorre more good comedic roles because he was obviously talented in that vein.

Peter Lorre was one of my favorite actors when I was a kid. At the minute I saw him in a movie, I knew it was going to be a good one.

*when you realize that Mortimer just described almost every horror movie ever*

He is the best thing in this film, and it does have some good comic performances. I love it when Johnny is recalling his murders and Dr Einstein says, "Filling station?" etc.

Ah, dramatic irony. It's interesting that Dr. Einstein was trying to save Mortimer, sort of. You could say it was just because he didn't want to spend two hours torturing him, but I like to think it's because he still has a conscience.

LOVE Peter Lorre and Raymond Massey in this. I thought they were the best ones in this movie.

Our school play was Arsenic and Old Lace, and I was cast as Dr. Einstein, but it was canceled because of Covid.

What is to not like in Arsenic and Old Lace? Using Lorre and Karlof was brilliant. One of the best comedy movies.

It's not Boris Karloff, it's Raymond Massey

@@azimisyauqieabdulwahab9401 To be fait there was a TV adaptation in the 1950's Lorre reprised Dr Einstein and Boris Karloff played Johnny. Sadly it's lost.

If I was in the in the film of Arsenic and Old Lace a and when Cary Grant, I would have magic power and save Cary Gran life and if I would have Astral Projection and have the rest of the Family to heal me and walk me up. And I would telepathy tell him that I am alright and I not hurt, And orb him to safe back with the family and show him and tell him I got a new magic power

I really wish they had showed Peter Lorris face when they filmed this, he was brilliant and could do thing with his face no one could. I wish he had had better rules as he was better than so of the crap they put him in.
