It's implied in the movie that Death can make your presumably-eternal afterlife better or worse, so it certainly wouldn't be bad to be friends with him.
@@jpaxonreyes death threatens Drew with a really nasty afterlife, but that may have been a bluff. Also even if it wasn't I got the overall impression that everyone got the afterlife they deserved by the line "Do I have anything to fear in dying" and Death replied, "not a person like you", to roughly paraphrase.
Treat everyone as you would want to be treated is written in scripture if I recall. Rather or not concerning Death helping or hurting. It’s said God has dominion over it all if I recall. Yet perhaps they have some level of choice in how they carry out Gods will. Guess we all find out sooner or later more of these things.

How rude, ill-mannered, this particular culture is to guests! When the man of the house brings a guest home to dinner, no matter who he is, whether he has a name or not, no matter whether he is introduced or not, no matter he is unexpected, no matter what, he should be treated like a king. Not like an escaped criminal.
Would be interesting to switch the roles. AH would be great death, BP would be great billionaire, plus he is younger hence his death would be more tragic.
I disagree. Death portrayed by Brad Pitt looks innocent and way too young to be looking down on someone like Bill. It’s intended to be this way and it’s perfect.
@@evelina3368 Of course that was the point that it would be a different take on the same movie.
