I think it’s awesome that Sarah still wants to share a room with her siblings. Everyone in today’s world is privacy, privacy. I shared a room and it never harmed me. My brothers shared a room. There was over 8 years age difference for my brothers. I feel personally that sharing a room prepared me for married life.
It’s your home and you do what works for your family no matter what others think.
I can’t wait till I can have a sewing/jewelry making room (my girl makes jewelry).

Think it’s funny that everyone is saying Sarah needs her own space as she’s a grown woman, Sam is a grown man but not a mention of him needing his own space lol😂
I shared a room with two sisters until I left home.

Why not put a Murphy bed with shelves in the sewing room for Sara?
YES...put insulation in the ceiling. We've lived in houses with and without and it really does make a difference with noise.
Oh my goodness! Y'all have gotten so much work accomplished. The boys' room and sewing room are awesome, both in looks and all the organization.

As much as you all read and use books in your every day lives, you should "build on" a library either off the summer kitchen or your home ❤

Cindy, Sarah and Anna will be moving into the room that was the boys 'room. Abigail and Rebekah will be staying in the current girls' bedroom, but we do plan to update it as well. 🙂
Is Sara going to have her own room? With the age difference of Sara and Anna I would think Anna would fit better with the younger girls. Everything looks great!
The boys room turned out really nice. I have never seen a family so appreciative of things that people have sent them. You can tell that your children are so grateful. Coming from a large family myself, I know what it's like to be very grateful for what you have. Your family reminds me so much of my family when we were young.
Everything is beautiful in the house and summer kitchen. Your young woman, and young husband looked lovely to go to father daughter dinner. You are blessed, Janice.

Too bad there was not shower/toliet for the boys. That would have Been so convenient.
I'm glad the chicken tractors are coming in handy!! The Boys' room looks awesome!! Tell Sarah to hold off on turning the black sheet into a curtain. I am sending a curtain rod and curtains to you! Depending on the height of the closet, the curtains may need to be hemmed. I purchased the 63' ones to make sure they were long enough. I'm so glad the children are enjoying the game table!! It's great that, that company allowed you to get a new big dresser for the Girls' room, what a nice addition to the room! That dress looks beautiful on Sarah!! Sage green is a lighter color that you might like for that room, olive green will probably be too dark. The white furniture will definitely help with the darkness of the room and I would even suggest painting the door white, the more white, the more the available light will bounce around the room and make it lighter! Don't listen to people who want to TELL you how to house your children! They have no right to judge, question or tell you how to live your life! They should be spending their time making their own decisions on how to run their household NOT spending time trying to run your household!!

When will Sarah have time to sew? We always see her in the kitchen with you making all sorts of things after milking the cow and if she has other chores?
You do realize that you only see a very small portion of their day, right? You see a 25-30 minute video & assume Sarah is slaving away from sun up to sun down. Lol. There are 24 hours in a day and Janice always shares projects Sarah has either sewn or drawn-just the other day I saw a video where Sarah wasn’t shown at all but about 45 seconds throughout the whole video bc she was spending time with her friend. These kids have a lovely upbringing where they have a nice balance of responsibility and free time. They’re all very smart, talented, and Sarah in particular has a very gentle, giving spirit & I see the look on her face when she’s helping take care of her family-she wouldn’t change a single second of her life. I would almost bet my life on it.
@@PethtelLady Yes I do and there's no need for you to act like I don't know they don't do other things. I watch all the videos and shorts. This is a wonderful family.
@@coleenmayfield833 I apologize. I didn’t mean to sound rude to you at all. It’s hard to fully understand intention through text and it sounded as if you were saying all she does it work and will never have time to sew. Forgive me for my misunderstanding of your initial comment.
Girls' room: I would paint the brown shelf white, put it back where it is right now and put the new dresser right under it. I would then either buy two small (or one big) desks and put them on the wall where the second bed was. The room might look bigger this way. Maybe put small shelves above the desk... A nice carpet on the floor...
Light sage would be beautiful on the girls walls.

As far as the new room I would like to see an area rug and decorative pillows on the beds to cozy it up a bit!! Just my thoughts!

I wish the pipes didn’t have to go thru her sewing room. A cute white wrought iron daybed would be nice to have in the sewing room, if she ever decided to get away or hang out with her friends.

The house tour was very nice the boys room turned out very nice and very organized.Just wanted you to tell Sarah that she looked beautiful for her father daughter date.Her dress and hair was very pretty.Hope they had a wonderful evening.
I’m sure they are working with what they have. My parents only had 4 kids and we never had our own rooms and it wasn’t a big deal at all.
Love the boys room, well done! In the girls room, that corner shelf might work in the summer kitchen with hooks underneath to hang aprons, pot holders and utensils? Then on the shelves spices, pectins, slt sugar etc. canning supplies. Just a couple of thoughts! 😊

I love your collection of books! What about adding doors to the book shelves, maybe even sliding doors. Or Sara could also sew a cute curtain... just to cover the many colors of the books and give the space a more muted, clean, and organized look.
I really like that idea, but some children were scandalized when I suggested covering up the books! 😉

Janice, your Cross-stitch work is remarkable, and t 18:20 o my mind, hanging behind glass is the only safe way to keep them safe for many, many years. The younger girls in this room and Sarah a room for herself. I like the ideas but Anna is still very young and much closer in age to Abigail. Do whatever you feel is right.

Love the boys room, it turned out great. I think it’s nice that Sara is comfortable sharing a space with her sisters, maybe those who isn’t accustomed to it May think differently but there are people all over the world and in North America who live like this even adults in their 20s or 30s share rooms with children who are their relatives or siblings and they make it happen daily
Sara’s a grown woman, even though she will always be your ‘baby’! She needs a little space to call her own🙂
She can always retreat to the sewing room.

Just a thought for the girls room there are many many very cool Murphy style cabinet beds you can even have them hanging on the wall that pull down just a thought Google it she had some cool stuff

It’s all looking great. love the colour array of materials in Sarah’s room. Bedroom will look so much better with white units….paint window frame, door, skirting boards etc in white. Happy decorating!🛏️🛏️❤

Thanks for all the saving tips and homestead info. I love it. You said the kids kind of made a game room in the summer kitchen. What about the shelf of games can go out in that space. Maybe a cabinet so it stays tidy and not cluttered. It all seems to be coming together. A little bit at a time.
