This is still the best case out there.. I've been looking for a full tower replacement for some reason, but nothing beats this case. Even though it's "old" it's still great.
@@CresencioMedina I think you'll enjoy it. The only thing it's missing is a power supply shroud, otherwise it's perfect. I've been trying to find a better replacement for years, haven't found anything better
I own this case since 2012 and managed to build a 360 45mm radiator on top, but it depends on your motherboard. Can't get rid of this case, it is still amazing.
'If you dont mind the white color' Lol thats the reason I will choose this case, because it looks so cool in white, makes it a very futuristic design, with a ton of space for future hardware improvements.
I only bought it because of the looks and color. It looks just sooo nice and sexy with the white I didn't even knew any of the specs when I bought it. The trooper looks awful by the way
Bought one years ago, still using it, love it, the handle idea at the top is genius, not that it gets moved much, but I love intelligent designs like this. I'm looking to buy another for a second computer as I begin to retire my flawless xeon 1650 and I wont sell her after 10 years of perfect service.
LOL same here have had my almost 6 years. .and have upgraded sys's through the years.. today I am putting in Gigabyte X570s Aorus Elite AX and Ryzen 7 5800X3D.. PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 64gbs Gskill Trident Z Royal 3600 DDR4, and OS on a XPG S70 Blade 1tb (7400mbs) M2 also have had my BFG 1000watt PSU as long as I have had this case... LOVE THEM ALL!! 5 HDD's 1 SSD and 3 M2's and 2 Plextor DVD RWs
Got this on sale a while back and I don't regret it. Easy to work with, good thermals even stock and good cable management. I'm not sure I'd pull the trigger on it today but it was pretty good for when it came out.
I'm still using my HAF X 😁 got a 8700k and strix 1080 Ti in it still has amazing airflow but its seen better days probably going to change the case with my next build
@@HollowRick it’s an amazing case and pretty easy to work with, but it had started to age with modern standards, ex, no usb-c ports, exposed psu, plastic panned and the front air filters prone to fall out
@@goldy_on_pc930 personally I don't have them issues I personally don't get the hype around USB C front IO as my phone and nintendo switch are only things I own that use it aha also psu shrouds are nice but its not really a deal breaker for me :) I would personally take performance over "looks" but that's just me :D I do hope I can find something new in the future tho
Got this case for about a month now and I really like it, the handle at the top is pretty useful because my system is kind of heavy in it, there is a lot of space for cable management, easily fit some nice looking extensions in the back, and the hard drive cages are awesome too, I switched them so I got the fans in the front. Nice to see the small storage box at the bottom as well, very nice for storing some useful tools for working with computers. I think this is a great case for this price.
I recently got my hands on one of these in black! Striped it down to pieces, cleaned it, painted it red leaving pieces that were still pristine black. I love this thing. Takes me back to the good old days. Bought a gpu mod with riser to rotate the gpu on its side to use all that extra space. Zip tied 3 90mm fans in the hhd bay for front air intake. 2x 240mm fans on the bottom and top of the case just roaring air in and out. Just a kid in a candy store using all these older items i have been holding onto. I even found an old cooler master v6 gt muscle cooler.. "Had to buy a mounting mod bracket" its am3 cooler the modded bracket allowed me to mount it to an am4 socket. Looks like a car engine for a cooler. All case fans are led set to red and the black interior just makes the red pop! A few led strips set to red and.. Its just glorious! I had a Radeon rx 580 msi installed in it cause it had red leds on a gpu hence the gpu mod... But it was a craigslist sale and it failed after a few months..😢 now its rockin the rx 590 with no leds but the asrock version is just a monster in size and is the center piece even without the leds!
I got this case like 10 years ago and still working like a new case :) i can upgrade to anything i want because it has the space and on this days it is hard to find a good full tower or even a full tower case
Had to revisit this video. Modern hardware works fine, unless you're talking about the GPUs. A few of them will end up touching the edges of the HDD cages.
Looks awsome, but at 3:00 it looks like the rear bottom part around PS exhaust has been bent. How good is the structural integrity of the case ??? And don´´t reply ,,it´s just tin´´, for this price, it should be real solid.
It is a s good as it gets man. Real heavy, solid (build) quality. It means the case as big as it is weighs a lot too ofcourse. It is not easy to brake anything on this case. This case blindy reassures I won't even come close to breaking anything on it. I've had it for almost 5,5 years (black). by the time you read this you might have actually already ordered the case, so yeah.Must have been a real package droppin' talent that dropped the pakkage so hard it actually bent something on the case. Amazing
The storm trooper has a window that can be bought separately. It is now hard to find in the states but if your really want it can be found on the U.K. sites. I bought mine from the Ukraine before it was released in the U.S.
I've bought this case the other day... Holy crap it's way bigger than i've imagined.. and it's so awsome!! It's like you've a brand new lamborghini waiting on you to press that massive power button.. this case reaalllyyy fullfilled my expectations..
What you can also do since it is not on the CM website is you can call them directly. Since they are still selling the windowed trooper case. I'm sure they will be able to sell you just the window.
JUST A HEADS UP,all you have to do is reverse your cages so the fans, are facing the front then you'll have the push and pull effect, and pop a 120 in the bottom where the ssd would sit
you will be fine, I have both and the h100i fits fine. The radiator is 27mm and the fans are 25mm making it 52mm and there is 60mm of clearance between the mounting bracket and motherboard standoffs. Hope this helps.
Put the front fans facing front in factory and change the handle so you can fit thick rads to the top fans. That would make it one of the best cases out there if you want that industrial/alien look...
Coolermaster just makes the best cases out there... Been a loyal fan ever since the haf x, in running a cheaper aerocool 300faw due to budget limitations but would still pick up a coolermaster case in a heart beat if i could afford it.
Heeeeey dude ... does this case have a good high quality airflow when fans are put correcty or it's just like other cases like HAF 932 .. 2nd how to make the case run without noise or little noise and thanks for the awesome review
I'm getting this case for myself as a Christmas present (^^) Can I fit a Black Ice GT 240 in the top without issues with the motherboard? I'll have one on the top and one on the bottom.
is there a black version of this yet? I know that there is the trooper but I really want the window =3 I have looked pretty hard but I am a light bit of a noob to the PC building world. Thanks in advance!
i got this case and if you instal a fan at the bottom then the airflow is perfect . no need to worry about good airflow. ( but i do reccomend to add a fan @ the bottom ).
I love this case but, I should rebuild my PC to make it similar like yours, especially with the HDD cage fans. XD Also, the workout part is worth it when you're carrying it, LOL.
Would be nice to have both! :D Or better yet, to see a case that has CF card reader as well for all the users with compatible DSLRs..myself included! :D
The review said the cooling in this case is lackluster. I have quite a small room that gets quite hot during the summer, how would you rate the cooling if you turn one/both of those fans on the HDD cage towards the Motherboard?
I'm using the Asus Z87 sabertooth which still leaves a fair amount of clearance so you should be fine with the z87 pro as long as the motherboard doesn't stick out too much past the top screw holes which the z87 pro doesn't.
I enjoyed this video. Came back here to relearn some of the features of my own case. He is right in that the color is off, but I really had to look hard to see the difference. Recommend it if you are thinking about it. No drawbacks for me
Get it to change my Kandalf! Great cable management. I've put the two intake fans in front to have best intake! Results in -10 degrees on CPU and -5 on GPU. I have s 2500K @4.5 Ghz with Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme and a 670 with Accellero Twin Turbo @ +85Mhz
Iv owned this case for a little over three months now and I can't keep my eyes off it! Its such a Beauty. Plenty of room for all my components which keeps everything running cool and looking neat! Thanks for the feedback! I decided to get a more modern case, as all the drive bays would be a complete waste for me and the case fan solution seemed somewhat clumsy. The lack of proper dust filters is indeed a good point as well.
the front filter solution is decent, but the side ones are horrible. the 2 drive cages hold 1 fan each, so whichever direction you face it, there is air leaking, and the side "filters" are not fine mesh at all, dust goes right through it. i agree though, the front drive bays are entirely unused for me, but it does look cool imo edit: what case did you decide on getting? im looking for a new one aswell, ideas would help ;P
I did like the appearance of this one as well. I decided to go for the Phanteks Evolv ATX tempered glass edition. A beautiful and modern case, in my opinion. Having watched all videos there are to watch and reading the manual, it also seems to be an easy case to build in. Airflow is probably not the best, but definitely good. 2 drive bays if you need them, hidden in the lower front. I ordered mine a while back, but as it's somewhat hard to get I'm still waiting for it. Any cases you're considering?
I was planning on the define s, but I didn't want to ruin the aesthetic by removing the top moduvents so i was actually planning on the evolv too lol :D
the store overclocks in for me, and they say: we overclock without that your temperatures will be to high and without any harm to your hardware. i hope they do it good?;p
I have this case for at least 10 months for my build and am still using stock intel fan for the cooler. I really want to use an all in one water cooler but I'm afraid it son't fit.
Your right about the Weight,Specially if you put a 1600 Watt PSU, a 280mm water cooling system and 3-5 HDD's/SSD but its not really a big deal if you don't move your case alot
My case weighs 20Kg with all the components inside and I still carry it around with me actually. I take it to friend's houses and parties all the time lol, it fits perfectly in my car too
This either way. It is cheaper than the corsair graphite 600T. But I agree, match the case to the build. Mid range build, probably around a $100 case. Low end probably 60 or cheaper. And high end, anything.
do you think i can buy the see through window of the Stryker from cooler master and put it on my storm trooper? because i cannot find the see through trooper side panel anywhere
I am currently debating on some cases to get for my first build. This is at the top of my budget, but I was also considering the Rosewill Thor V2. I looked at the Haf X, but that is really pushing my budget. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
10 Years after owning the case I've learned that I could install a 240mm rad in the bottom configuration! You learn something new every day!

It's just a 240mm rad, which I think does fit up top, check timetolivecustoms video on this case.

You want that top fan to be used as intake to insure positive internal pressure to prevent dust buildup. This is important guys...
Do one on the thermaltake armor revo
ok alright man, so once i build it, can i connect it to the internet, or will they be able to track me if i connect it to the internet?
That's oxidization. If its on a steel frame, gloss coated, it won't yellow.
But the un glossed parts will. The plastic should be fine, but it might eventually change.
So... This case doesn't allow fans at the top right?
IMO the best version of the Trooper case is not the Stryker but the Trooper windowed which is essentially the Stryker in black.
What is better. This Case or the HAF X?
i love this case looks awesome and was easy to do my build in it and its pretty quite too
Is this still good?
does the Stryker's fan controller supports really 6 fans?

Your right about the Weight,Specially if you put a 1600 Watt PSU, a 280mm water cooling system and 3-5 HDD's/SSD but its not really a big deal if you don't move your case alot
My case weighs 20Kg with all the components inside and I still carry it around with me actually. I take it to friend's houses and parties all the time lol, it fits perfectly in my car too
yeah 4 weeks from now ill be ordering :) im not in a rush
Can you attach a extra fan in front of the PC?
how many fans does the case come with?
where can I buy one like this anymore?
just got one of these, love it
This either way. It is cheaper than the corsair graphite 600T. But I agree, match the case to the build. Mid range build, probably around a $100 case. Low end probably 60 or cheaper. And high end, anything.
For those wondering where the reviews are made, just posted a DESK TOUR of my little workspace on my channel. :D:D
do you think i can buy the see through window of the Stryker from cooler master and put it on my storm trooper? because i cannot find the see through trooper side panel anywhere
I am currently debating on some cases to get for my first build. This is at the top of my budget, but I was also considering the Rosewill Thor V2. I looked at the Haf X, but that is really pushing my budget. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
is the default fan positions ok enough?
