@@lillabjornstationery I think they are pretty similar. Maybe a little juicy but then again some of my ZIG's are juicy too. I've never really compared 🤣
I’m really impressed with the Ohuhu standing up to such a strong competitor like the Tombow. I don’t use brush pens much, but always love the colors of the Tombows…but the price always makes me say “am I reallllly gonna use it?” However, a set of Ohuhu 60 markers on Amazon as of today at $31 US, that is a DEAL!! That’s a deal for the fineliner end alone. My concern would be the longevity of the marker…how long till both sides break down from use or dry up (Tombows are known for their long lifespans of color.) The color range is nice with the Ohuhu, although not as extensive, but it looks like they’ve covered the rainbow pretty well without having a massive number of one color (like sometimes sets will have like 7 pinks and 1 orange or similar.) It would be great to have a follow up video on this. I also wonder how both would do on a more coated paper, like Rhodia? (Drying time may be an issue.) One thing I noticed that Tombow does so well (usually you see them next to Mildliners) is not having that ‘blob’ of heavy ink where you stop your stroke across (Mildliners give you the blob, hate the blob) and so do the Ohuhus, and I think that’s feedback for them as well. I have no idea how marker technology does or doesn’t make a blob, but Tombow does have it figured out. They definitely look like they’d be worth a try at that price point, or make a great gift for someone who loves markers. The case is really nice, that’s a great feature and selling point! Please do make a follow up video with how they stand up over time and use and maybe how they do/don’t perform on other paper you have. Thanks, Lillia
I was also very impressed on how well they stood up to the Tombow! I will definitely post an update after I've used them for a good amount of time, thanks for sharing 🥰
I've been mulling over on finally making the leap and trying out markers after a lifetime of colouring pencils, and I saw those Ohuhu markers the other day on sale for about 50 AUD for a 60-pack, an insane price considering the well known tombows go for like 20 AUD for a 10-pack here. This video has been a blessing, really.. Maybe I should just go ahead and make the jump, still kind of nervous on how it would look on my 100 gsm paper journal though..
So glad you enjoyed! They are definitely a great value considering the quality of the product. If you are hesitant about the bleed through, the company has mentioned they're exploring ways to address this in the future, which is promising! So maybe it's just a matter of time. Otherwise, you could try placing a sheet of scrap paper or cardstock under the page you're working on to prevent any marks on the following pages 🥰
I only have the Ecolines pens, but they're watercolours so they may have another kind of usefulness. Hmmm...just remembered that I have Zig Clean Brush Colours too, but I'm not so fond of their real brushes. They're harder to get used to, at least for me. 😇💙🙏🙌
Their tips are definitely not as loose and soft as the Zig pens, and I don't know yet how they will hold up in the long run. You can switch the tips by reversing the tip in the pen and refill the pens with the Ecoline bottles. You also can blend colours by touching the tips of pens.
What's your favourite brush pen and why? 🤩
Yes! Love a showdown.
I have some ohuhu dot markers and I love them!
How do you find they compare to the ZIG dot markers? (bleed through etc.) 😇

Open stock availability: Tombow
Instant winner.
Ohuohu is good brand. I own two sets of their markers. I no longer own Tombows. 😅
Wow! No more Tombows?! Which type of Ohuhu markers do you own?

Love this comprehensive comparison. Exactly what I was looking for. Also, what type of notebook did you use?
So glad you enjoyed! I used two different notebooks; the Leuchtturm1917 and the official Bullet Journal 💓

I have seen the Ecolines! How do you find their tip flexibility to be? Do they maintain their shape? 😇
